General Battle looked about. His supers had arrayed themselves into a line and yelled "We draw the line here! The President is inside! We can't get in but I'll die before anyone else can! Keep your eyes peeled! if this field drops we need to get in there! The objective is the President of the United States of America! Think about that! Everyone, everything, else is immaterial!"

He stared at the dozen or so super agents, some of them packing powerful large and futuristic looking weapons. They looked grim, men and women who had volunteered their service, their superhuman abilities and ultimately their lives to serve their country.

Miss Victory wondered if the same applied to herself. This was her adopted country, her home, and the thought of several hundred thousand people being wiped out made her shudder. General Battle had made the Executive Order for people to leave their homes and head away from the city and area. The roads would be clogged with cars and panic levels would be high.

The Prison break had sparked into life a series of events that might change her adopted country forever! Could she help save it?

"Actually, spreading out might be better, General," Miss Victory suggests.  "Don't want everyone taken out by one big explosion.  Maybe some foxholes would help?  I can pound some out quickly if you want me to."

OOC: Eh I used to hate starting out guys, in some ways I can imagine its a real chore to do it well - you don't want just bare numbers, you don't want to min-max but you do want something in between. Is there not a source for pre-stated heroes you can go to?

There's all the DC sourcebooks he can use but we have gone through a lot of folks in the various adventures.  Some of them can still be gotten for $35 or less.  Some of them hard or impossible to find.  And there is Writeups.Org for more but ... still a lot of digging and figuring since many characters are not of our current power level.  For our lower level adventures, lots more he can use.

OOC As far as Sourcebooks and the like, I own everything every published for all versions of the DC Heroes game (it's one of the few complete RPG lines I managed to complete in my collecting days, before prices got silly and items became hard to get hold of). As mentioned the problem isn't getting hold of stats - every book can also be gotten hold of in PDF form but I'll not say where or how but it's a straight forward google search - but that we are operating at a level between the post crisis characters of DC Heroes 2e and 3e and the Pre Crisis characters of DC Heroes 1e with the Ultrahumans. Just means I have to do a little more homework that's all! Lower levels we are covered. Make up a new name, scratch off the stuff that ties the character to a specific area/comic (for example Man of Bronze in the Miss Victory fight IS Batman with some Earth Control Gauntlets thrown in and the Batarangs taken away Very Happy ). You guys have also flattened Superman and Doomsday though you probably didn't notice along the way whilst wading through the supermax prison...

Fission grinned "I'm fast enough my friend, perhaps not to keep up with you but I can fly miles in seconds. Let's go."

He took to the sky, fiery form lighting up the sky against the leaden clouds. Lionheart shrugged and shot up, slowing to keep pace with the south american Superhero but in moments they were closing in on the flying orange suited group!

OOC No surprise here, Lionheart acts first using his Superspeed to boost his initiative as per the standard set up.

You are a few hundred yards away (range 7APs) and can attempt a 'move past/grab' at speed to nab that bomb which is being carried telekinetically by one of the bad guys. That is going to be hard, even for Lionheart and will take up his dice action this round (so he can't attack as well as grab that bomb). Basically your speed will act against you so the faster you move the more difficult the task would be. Imagine... you sprinting along a track at the fastest speed you can manage and grabbing an egg off a table as you sprint past and hoping you don't smash the egg to smithereens. That might be another tactic - destroy the bomb.

Over to you.

At Ground level General Battle pondered then spoke quietly to Miss Victory. "Truth is, we are caught between a rock and a hard place here. We can't get through that field but if it opens we need to get in there and save the boss. In the meantime the bad guys are coming at our front. I have a horrible nasty feeling that field will open up and we'll face disaster from the front and behind of us."

"Feel free to make a few bolt holes in the stone of the corridors but it won't protect us if that bomb goes off." he mutters.

"NO it won't but it may keep you alive if Lightning and flame bolts are being fired or huge rocks thrown this way," she answers back. She went and punched some holes in the floor and along the walls so men could dive into the next room instead of being wiped out by a corridor-wide blast that they otherwise would have no way to dodge.

Then out of curiosity, she upped her strength to 23, increased her body with the rest and punched the force field to see what would happen.
[Prefer to wait on that until the first round of Lionheart's actions in the fight]

If the core cannot be detonated then, the rest is just expensive junk housing nasty stuff. Agreed?" And taking on board what Fission said, Lionheart, prepared himself for what must surely be one of this toughest tests yet.

OOC Just about to resolve this Dave (E). Are you sure you want to delay until Fission goes to act as a team? Reason I ask is that you'd be giving up initiative to be last more or less in the round and give up a major advantage. What allocation of Attack/Defence dice (5D/5D with the latter reduced according to how many dice you use for one over the other)? Just a note...

Lionheart glanced at the oncoming enemy group...

OOC Danger Sense 9 + Roll(2d12)+0: 11,11,+0 Total:22 DOUBLE plus Roll(2d12)+0: 9,1,+0 Total:32 (41) vs
OV4 + Roll(2d12)+0: 4,1,+0 Total:5 (9)
+8 (17) vs RV4=13 RAPs.

That gives you the following information about the danger you face...

Villain #1 - Superhuman Strong and Durable with a powerful energy blast and energy/kinetic absorption
Villain #2 - Mentalist including powerful mind blast and the ability to mentally 'turn off' superhuman abilities
Villain #3 - Magic, including Sorcery which effectively means they can do practically anything with few limits!
Villain #4 - An energy being with incredible reflexes and resistance and a staggering energy blast which may be the most powerful Lionheart has ever faced!
Villain #5 - Despite the previous bunch being powerful, maybe the most powerful/dangerous as this is a power leech. Drain your abilities and use them against you!!!

Lionhearts eyes widen. The threat may be so powerful that the uncanny 'sixth sense' he used had given him an insight into the enemies he faced (OOC thanks to that double roll. Technically it shouldn't give details of powers but with that many RAPs - you only need 8 for success in order to reveal the exact nature of the danger rather than the vague feeling of danger - I figured you would get a little extra information).

OOC: OH O, in that case no I think I had better act first and we'll 3/2 on the die, good call. This is where my knowledge and general rubbish approach to rules let me down. Anyway thanks for the catch. Let's see if we can't get this sucker and not suck at the rolls. Better make this a Devastating attack roll, to give me the best chance of pulling this off and I think its a kind of do or die situation so I will use up the remainder of my HP to buy 3 extra dice to succeed, so 2 on the attack and 1 on effect.

OOC Are you targeting the bomb or one of the bad guys? Just checking before the fists start flying. I thought you were targeting the bomb but splitting your dice to attack with martial Arts suggests attacking one of the bad guys. I don't think you can use your Martial Arts to grab the bomb so it would be a straight up Dex check (and with 26 Dex its pretty darn good admittedly but these guys are as powerful as Lionheart is...)

The Ultrahumans! Issue #1 Starring Miss Victory and Lionheart! "White House Down..." - Page 4 Empty Re: The Ultrahumans! Issue #1 Starring Miss Victory and Lionheart! "White House Down..."

Post  Admin Mon Oct 19 2020, 22:19

Lionheart concentrates, taking aim and basically speeding up like a missile towards the incoming villains!

He could redirect some of that incredible psychic energy towards his flight speed but elected to save it for speeding up his reflexes and provide not only the best chance of grabbing the missile but also of evading any attacks that came his way!

OOC This is a TAKE AWAY maneuver... Lionheart must fly up to the bad guys, scoop the missile from the air (where it is being carried by the telekinetic among the group) then will be attacked by the bad guys (he can move again next round. In theory he could try to grab it as he flies past but at 14APs speed PLUS their speed difference as a modifier it would be harder than LH can manage I would have thought. As it is, it will be tricky to grab the bomb...)

Dex 26 + Roll(2d12)+0: 6,4,+0 Total:10 (36) vs
OV12 + 4 Modifier + Roll(2d12)+0: 2,12,+0 Total:14 (30)
+3 (to 17 Str) vs RV12 + 2 modifier (RV14)=3 RAPs. Success. At speed this would have been practically impossible even for Lionheart as the OV/RV would be affected by the speed.

Lionheart flies up and snatches the bomb from the sky where it floated in the midst of the flying group and rips at it... yanking it from the telekinetic grasp of one of the orange suited villains who gasps and clutches his head! The telekinetic 'strength' of the villain appeared to be quite a bit stronger than Lionheart himself could normally muster but if he poured his astonishing mental force into it he could muster enough mind power to almost lift an Aircraft Carrier (OOC 22APs so about 100k tons. The biggest ship ever made weighs 657k tons so couldn't be lifted with his telekinesis - he needs plain old fashioned muscle power for that, but the ship would then break under its own weight...)

"The bomb!" exclaimed one villain

"Don't hit it!"

"Get him!"

"Careful! The plan! Remember the plan!"

"Catch the bomb when I take this idiot out!"

The villains take careful aim as Lionheart makes ready to leave!

OOC All of this happens in the space of about 1-2 seconds - a round is 4 seconds long so LH will be miles away in a few seconds - if he survives the attacks on him! He also notes that the bomb would NOT have survived him grabbing it at speed - and indeed had been jury rigged to go off if it suffered any massive jolt!

All villains need to TRICK SHOT in order to avoid hitting the bomb. A missed shot might strike the device which has been booby trapped/jury rigged...

Villain #3 Attack with a MAGIC BLAST!

Magic Blast 15 + Roll(2d12)+0: 7,3,+0 Total:10 (25) vs
OV9 + Trick Shot 4 + Roll(2d12)+0: 6,8,+0 Total:14 (27) attack missed!

"My attack shouldn't affect the bomb!" cried one villain who had directed his magical blast at Lionheart with utmost care.

"Do you know that for sure? Think of the safeguards that have been placed on it! If ANY ultrahuman strikes it with a stray blast it will go off!" said one villain. "They know this... I'm amazed this guy - whoever he is - hasn't been told it."

"Is he an Ultrahuman?"

"Who cares! Blast him! Carefully!"

OOC Villain #4 Lightning Blast 32 + Roll(2d12)+0: 2,8,+0 Total:10 (42) vs
OV26 + 5D Acro (0D M Arts) + trick Shot 4 + Roll(7d12)+0: 1,4,12,8,12,1,7,+0 Total:24 DOUBLE plus Roll(2d12)+0:
8,7,+0 Total:39 (65) Attack Missed

"Impossible! No one moves that fast except some of the faster Ultrahumans!" gasped the energy being floating in the sky as his blast goes far wide of the Ultrahuman!

The mentalist cries out "FOOLS!" and attacks!

OOC Villain #2 Mind Blast 15 + Roll(2d12)+0: 4,5,+0 Total:9 (24) vs
OV10 + trick Shot 4 + Roll(2d12)+0: 3,11,+0 Total:14 (28) attack Missed

Lionheart ignores the mental attack as it zips past!

OOC Villain #5 Power Drain 25 + Roll(2d12)+0: 8,1,+0 Total:9 (34) vs
OV26 + Trick Shot 4 + Acro 5D (0D M Arts) + Roll(7d12)+0: 12,1,10,12,9,6,9,+0 Total:24 DOUBLE plus Roll(2d12)+0: 11,12,+0 Total:47 (77) Attack Missed

"I never thought it possible... he is... " spluttered the formerly confident villain!

"If you want something doing... " muttered one of the villains...

OOC Energy Blast 25 + Roll(2d12)+0: 5,8,+0 Total:13 (38) vs
OV26 + 5D Acro (0D M Arts) + Trick Shot 4 + Roll(7d12)+0: 5,12,3,2,3,2,4,+0 Total:17 (47) . You can't pick the Double 3 result to get a 6 as that would trigger Lionhearts weakness and burn out a whole bunch of his powers. Need to make a change to the character sheet (it's listed on there as 5 or less to trigger when the rules we use now utilise D12s rather than D10s). No matter, attack missed.

Once again Lionheart evades the attack and the villains are flabbergasted. Here is a man in a costume who has flown up at high speed, wrested a booby trapped nuclear bomb from a telekinetic grasp then evaded five separate attacks at point blank range, comprising mental, mystical and physical attacks!

Fission flies up, slower than Lionheart had but here (finally) and takes aim at one of the bad guys (OOC target random generated 1-5... Roll(1d5)+0: 4,+0 Total:4)

OOC Taking aim at the energy guy... CRIT BLOW Energy Blast 30 + Roll(2d12)+0: 4,3,+0 Total:7 (37) vs
OV26 + 4D Acro + Range 3 + Roll(6d12)+0: 5,12,9,6,12,10,+0 Total:24 DOUBLE plus Roll(2d12)+0: 3,12,+0 Total:39 (68) attack Missed

Fission blasts but the energy being moves aside as fast as Lionheart could!

OOC Honours even, the only 'winner' of the round was Lionheart who has a booby trapped - and ready to explode - nuclear bomb in his hands! WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! if that bomb goes off while Lionheart is holding it you'd better have force field powered up to its max otherwise it will KILL Lionheart!!!

Initiative...

Unaware of the struggle in the sky above the White House Miss Victory can only wait for the villains to turn up... but what if Lionheart needed her help?

General Battle sets up his men as best he can, some set to looking out, others to looking in at the force field which protected the President - and her kidnappers - and paced nervously, as any leader might do before a defining battle!

Miss Victory is going to punch the barrier full strength and the rest of her power pool into body to see if she can smash through it or not.

OOC Miss Victory punches the barrier... bearing in mind this is designed to withstand a nuclear level blast and is supposed to keep all but the most powerful supers out...

AV23 + Roll(2d12)+0: 4,3,+0 Total:7 (30) vs
OV40 + Roll(2d12)+0: 4,10,+0 Total:14 (54) FAILED by 24. This becomes the FEEDBACK attack on the person touching the field!!!

AV24 + Roll(2d12)+0: 8,9,+0 Total:17 (41) vs
OV19 (Body + skin armour) + Roll(2d12)+0: 11,11,+0 Total:22 DOUBLE plus Roll(2d12)+0: 6,1,+0 Total:29 (48) No damage taken

Miss Victory winced after her punch struck the field... and gave a feedback that was powerful and immediate! Luckily she pulled her hand away a split second before it could zap her!! She knew then that she had been lucky and that had she been a nanosecond slower it might have hurt or even incapacitated her... or worse! An ordinary person would have died!

"best not to try that again." said the General. "That field is meant to discourage anyone touching it. By 'discourage' I mean 'kill'. Anyone here - aside from you - would be unconscious or dead now. That field is nuke proof. It is also deadly to most mere mortals."

The super agents suddenly viewed Miss Victory with new found respect. Their grudging admiration as well as their eye for a pretty lady meant they would be more likely to follow her orders when the time came.

Moving with haste now, Lionheart speed off from the pack, moving toward the upper atmosphere. It might be the case that a certain distance from the pack the bomb would go off, altitude or any number of other things might set it off, so all he could think to do was get it away from a populated space where it might do the least amount of damage. And increase his speed and force field in case he was wrong, deadly wrong.

Lionheart switched mental power internally.

He knew the nearest point to space was around 62 miles so gave himself a bit of leeway (OOC 3APs to Flight will boost it to 17, more than enough. The rest, 12 points, into Force Field boosting that to 21APs) then shot straight up like a missile!

The clouds sped by, then the blue, getting darker, darker... he glanced down at the nuclear bomb...

"Should we go after him? I can catch him!" said the Energy Villain.

One of the others glanced at a gadget in his hand. "No need. Look."

Lionheart got a momentary tingle of Danger Sense and veered past a satellite in near orbit, then got a BIG tingle and glanced down at the bomb... which went off!

OOC Bomb 31APs (not the more powerful version of 32) DEV ATTACK AV31 + Roll(2d12)+0: 12,5,+0 Total:17 (48) vs
OV14 + 8 Dev Att + No acrobatics will avoid an area attack like this... + Roll(2d12)+0: 3,8,+0 Total:11 (33)
+5 (to 36) vs RV34 - 12 Dev Att (RV22)=14 RAPs. Lionheart MUST absorb 2 RAPs (for 3HP leaving him on 24HP and Body 1/13) to stay conscious but is STUNNED!

The nuclear explosion went off in his hands and Lionheart had just enough time to think about his life choices, Things he'd done or said or left unresolved, what he might have done and whether he would ever get the chance to...

The world vanished, replaced by a blinding white flare and silent explosion in the airless void of near space.

With the glare taking age long seconds to dissipate he was momentarily blinded and dazed, unable to concentrate, switch his abilities or do anything other than concentrate on holding his breath...

'We've come a long way, you and I.' said Saladin inside his head. 'It never ceases to amaze me how many times you try to get us killed and I'm thankful you are as useless as that as you are putting your opponents down for good. May I suggest, however, that you take the opportunity to check in at the Ultrahumans satellite. For starters your communicator, most of your costume and your dignity have gone.'

Lionheart glanced down, naked in the void of outer space! Thankfully space was full of junk and an improved metal panel was twisted and formed with vast superhuman strength to provide a kind of 'space debris codpiece'. He was glad the Vanguard weren't here to see their most powerful member humiliated like this, but wondered where they were and what they were up to. Frostbite, less powerful than he, was very resourceful and possessed a measure of will and determination that few could match and none could exceed.

Suitably - given the circumstances - attired and with the rest of him sooted black and unrecognisable he realised that approaching the space station would prove tricky. He'd have to identify himself at the very least. Or he could get back down there into the fight, though a stiff breeze would (for the time being) blow him over (OOC Lionheart is on 1 Body (of 13) so could do with regenerating which will take around 30 Seconds)

=========

"Great Scott!" spluttered the General, listening in on an earpiece.

He looked aghast and the other super agents were as stunned.

Miss Victory locked stares with him and General Battle explained.

"There was a fight, above us, in the sky. Your friend, the limey... he snatched the nuclear bomb away from the bad guys and got it into space where it... it exploded... everything has gone dark up there but... he must be dead! Only the most powerful Ultrahumans are rated to take nuclear hits!"

"Survived a nuclear blast, barely, thought I would try it and see," Miss Victory said with a shrug and flipping back her hair.  "I'm going outside to see what's happening.  I'll be near the entrance so I can yell if we have incoming."

Just as she was getting ready to leave ...

"If he got his force field up in time, he survived," she said confidently.  "He's tougher than me.  So if the villains have a Plan B, they may be attacking here at any time.  So I will go out as planned and be ready to take them down."

OOC: OH my two times, 2x in one adventure? Paul what are you trying to do to me! Yes I will head for the satellite as you say we need reinforcements and a sit rep. And yes I will absorb damage with HP...hehe.

Lionheart shook Saladin off, that way was a one-way root he wasn't about to go, a pathway strewn with bodies was what he had just avoided. Regaining his strength, an internally aligning himself he made his way speedily, for he knew there was a great deal still to do, to the Ultrahuman satellite.

Lionheart sped through the void towards the distant white dot in the sky that was the Ultrahumans space stations. He knew something was wrong.

There were orbiting defence satellites that would defend the station and detect incoming threats. These were adrift, tumbling like so much useless space junk through space.

Getting closer to the station he expected something - a challenge, some kind of welcoming committee. Without his costume and his communicator he was basically an intruder and his danger sense wasn't warning him at all. Of course, it conked out from time to time but as far as he knew it was working. He was right up to an airlock now. No lights on anywhere outside the station which was a massive, impressive structure built under the ocean then physically lifted into space by one of the stronger ultrahumans.

Now? It was dormant.

He could peel open the exterior, possibly one of the airlocks, but in doing so he might expose the cold hard vacuum of space to those inside. He needed to do something though - on Earth those villains would soon run amok and achieve their aims albeit without the destruction of America's capital city.

=========

Fission was having a bad day.

His energy form crackled and fizzed as he extracted himself from the smashed concrete of the road. The punch had been too fast to see and something else - magical and mental attacks - had scrambled his brains. Now he was waiting for the coup de grace - or worse. Lionheart being blown up had been catastrophic and the British superhero must be either injured or dead at the very least. He knew he couldn't survive a blast like that, or if he could he'd be out for a long time.

=========

Miss Victory sped outside and looked about.

There! In the sky above Washington were orange clad dots and another who looked like Fission, albeit a different colour, all crackling energy and potential destruction.

There were five of them pounding on a figure she couldn't see at ground level but with the glow fading from the skies above Earth it became clear that the target must be Fission. They were about half a mile away, a heartbeat for her but flying above the ground and blasting Fission on the floor where he'd been pounded.

Lionheart had a good idea of the place, by now and took a moment to orientate himself and speed from one widow to another. His hope being that, he might draw the attention of those inside to let him in, rather than force his way in and make a bad situation far worse.

OOC: OK either looking in from the outside to draw attention to be let in manually or if that fails, either folk are knocked out or in some other jeopardy, then looking for an external hatch to pop that is less likely to cause a vacuum spill situation. I would imagine that in a place like this there are multiple redundancy backups even in the event of a take over or massive power failure. Mechanical options that are not computer dependent etc so looking to get in without making a worse mess of the place.

ooc:  Wouldn't the space station have airlocks that can be manually opened from either side in case of power loss?  I think the ISS has that feature.

They were about half a mile away, a heartbeat for her but flying above the ground and blasting Fission on the floor where he'd been pounded.

"I really need to be able to fly," she muttered, "maybe my husband can build me a jetpack if I ask nice?  Could throw a demolished tank at them but even if it hit, it would fall to the ground unless they are over the Potomac River, where it could fall without the possibility of killing innocents.  I could try jumping up there and punching but I tried that before and the odds weren't good on hitting one.  But if I don't try, they can just hang in the air and blast me from a distance.  I'll tell the general and then try."

She ducks back down the entrance and yells out that the villains are here and flying and does he have any portable missiles that might reach them.  Then she ducks back outside and leaps into the air to try and tackle one of the villains.

actions:  Leap and attempt to grapple the one who looks the least likely to be able to dodge her attack and maybe she gets some surprise attack bonus to help with the distance minuses.   Wink

ooc:  BTW, for her husband, Dr. Clark Wylde, use Mr. Terrific but add in Comprehend Languages as well and change High Connection for Omni-Connection and Scholar for Omni-Scholar.

BTW, 8th & I or better known as the Marine Corps Barracks where the Commandant of the Marine Corps resides is nearby.  Well, everything in DC is nearby.    tongue

When there once back in the early 80s.  The Marine Corps Silent Drill Team also resides there.  And one version of the Marine Corps Band.

OOC The airlocks may indeed have manual overrides but this is a superhero game and letting Evil Aliens/bad guys in with a simple spin of a handle is probably a bad idea...

Lionheart flew around the station, unaffected by the void despite his lack of clothing and protection.

Looking through the windows he saw the station was dark. No trouble to see when the sun shone through but the hero was reminded that though his senses were superhuman he possessed no particular ability to see in the dark.

What he did see were floating objects, including the limp bodies of civilian staff who ran the huge station and lived/worked alongside the greatest team of supers who had ever lived!

The British superhero felt a cold shiver run down his spine. The power had been cut, the life support systems turned off, gravity... gone. Probably suddenly. Whoever wasn't in one of the safe, sealed vital function areas of the space station had been suddenly exposed to vacuum and loss of gravity. They'd had no chance. There were dozens, a hundred or more civilian staff who worked at any one time on this station in rotating shifts and many of them will have died.

The space station had been lost, compromised. It was now a rescue and recovery mission. Duplex and the other supers who were stationed permanently on this station might be dead or captured. Lionheart moved back some and located the nearest airlock. With the interior exposed to vacuum now there was little need to be careful about opening non functional airlocks.

Moments later he was inside, listening to his Danger Sense. The lights were off, even the emergency lighting. No air. It had been vented to space and doubtless the temperature was lower than any human could survive for more than a few seconds unless they were superhumans.

It was too dark to move at speed. With his strength and durability he would barrel into the corridors, walls, objects in here and cause a lot of damage.

Maybe there was a way to find out what had happened.

OOC there is, but you'll need to look at your character sheet to figure it out! CLICKY! here...

OOC Jumping characters are (if you think about it) at a distinct disadvantage with regards targeting flyers. You are timing the target so that your jump intersects with a distant target much as you would if you were shooting and so there should be a range modifier... but if that were the case no one would ever take jumping over flying so it's kind of handwaved. We'll just assume that when you jump you are versed in landing/going where you want to because you have practised extensively.

General Battle scowls. "This just gets better and better." he spits.

Running hand through close cropped iron grey hair he said "Firing ordinance over a populated area? That's a bad idea. We've sent out the call to all supers within range of this place, begging for help. It may also be a bad idea. We might have a massacre on our hands that will make this disaster seem like a warm up. You are our most powerful asset. if you go down there and get taken out, we have nothing. I would prefer you stayed here but I can't order you."

"I'll gather what we can with distance weapons including explosives but ... " the General snarled. "We're outgunned, on the back foot, frightened to death of acting and we can't get through the devices designed to protect our President... that our President is held captive behind. I think now is a bad time to admit we've relied on the Ultrahumans for too much and too long."

Miss Victory moved outside. The dots in the sky were a long way away from here but a leap would bring her in the midst of them. They were blasting/pounding on Fission who would be down and out soon or worse.

OOC From here Miss Victory can only see dots. She has no special vision powers so can't make any choice of target. Get closer or jump 'blind' and tag whoever is nearest? The only one she can make out not wearing orange is the crackling energy guy who is similar to Fission but a different colour.

Go for crackling energy guy. Are they in range of her Jump 8 or will she need to put some points into it? If they are in range, then 13 points into Dex for 23, 5 into Str for 11 and 5 into Body for 12. Trying to grapple the guy, I can try squeezing him after I got him in a hold. If they are not in range then one or 2 points from Body to put them into range.

Although he hardly found time to use it in what tended to be a chaotic surge ever forward. Nonetheless, he had the amazing ability to wind back a moment and see what had happened beforehand. Postcognition, among his many amazing abilities, this might reveal far more than anything else he had in his formidable arsenal of abilities. Taking a moment to concentrate, he forced himself into that place where this ability might serve to function in such a way that he might step back gleaning from all the many tiny traces about something of what lead up to this moment in time.

OOC: I hope I guessed right, the only other time I've used this in ages was at the start of this merry jaunt.
