The Vanguard play by post game

Frostbite, Lionheart and the Vanguard have returned to Earth! However, it is an Earth MUCH changed having been invaded by Aliens! The ADVENT organisation covers much of Europe and Asia along with Africa and South America. On the surface there are many benefits, but underneath it... ADVENT are seeking to complete their world domination plans by sending agents into the past to eliminate important figures in the present or their descendants, and that may include the heroes! Haunt and Steeplejack (fresh out of retirement) are on the trail to stop them. Lionheart joins the Ultrahumans (the worlds most powerful super team) and where does that leave Frostbite...?

The Vanguard have escaped from the microverse after Lionheart rejoined with Saladin and proved too much for that universe to handle! Now though, they are lost in deep space on the enemy spaceships they were battling along with an allies planet that came along for the ride. How will they get home??? The Haunt, back on Earth, has problems of his own though... Huge monsters that copy the super powers of everyone they come up against have appeared in many major cities and are wreaking havoc with the authorities and superhumans unable to stop them... Just as things look like they are going to get worse.. .huge alien spacecraft show up! Are they friends... or foes...?

Or rather, the Vanguard got smaller! Frostbite gathers several low powered superhumans together with the intention of forming them into a team and training them up to be a more permanent team than the Vanguards rag-tag shifting roster. Unfortunately a retired superhero called Timmy Jones (formerly with his 'fantastical toy robot army') has teamed up with a microscopic empire with the intention of creating an army of cloned superhumans to enlarge and conquer Earth! Meanwhile sometime ally of the Vanguard, the hero known as Haunt, juggles his career with his superheroics and finds himself fighting against his best friend - who has been transformed into a monster! If that wasn't bad enough, Lionheart is also shrunk... and spliced in half with his old enemy Saladin once more on the loose!

The Vanguard are scattered but still fighting the evils this world has to endure. Lionheart is on the trail of a race of microscopic invaders, and along the way has helped the Grandson of an evil genius and a retired superhero. Frostbite is the leader of his own team of new superheroes and trying to teach them the ropes whilst figuring out how to stop an invasion of the Earth by a race of locust like humanoids who devour all in their path! Haunt is trying to stop a race of Shadow Demons from retrieving the final part of Mordreds sword - the same as struck down King Arthur! Though the odds are against them, ever shall the Vanguard fight on!

Escaping from the madness of a shattered world, the Vanguard return to the 21st Century, and find themselves scattered, disorientated and changed. How will this world they left view them, and with their numbers reduced by deaths or members missing in action, who will step in to fill the space? One thing is for sure - where Evil casts a dark shadow over the world, there will always be the Vanguard to shine a light!

The British Expeditionary Force has escaped the Nazi onslaught thanks to the Vanguard! The people of Britain rejoice knowing that they have their own superheroes to defend them, but there's no time for the heroes to rest on their laurels! Alien empires converge on Earth to claim the Lunarium that the Nazis mine on the moon, and worse is yet to come - the Devourer - a creature of infinite scope and power, is en route to Earth! It will suck the planet dry, leaving a dead husk in space... unless the VANGUARD can stop it, and every other threat imperilling their world!

Clouds of Nazi planes gather over Britain, raining death from above... Saladin/Lionheart attempt to separate themselves... Anyman battles to free the P'utinarians from a camp in Poland... a cosmic menace gets closer to Earth, intent on wiping out all life there!... Intergalactic Empires seek the Lunarium found on the moon... All the while the Shadow Demons feed on the despair, terror and fear rife across Europe!
