Barking out an order to the battered, still dazed and injured Fission who was gamely battling on, Miss Victory waited the split second it took for Fission to fly up, a crack of thunder following in his wake and blast at the two targets she nominated!
OOC I assume you mean the Power Leech rather than Energy Attacker? Villains #5 and #1?
"Strike... NOW!" she said, leaping up and attacking the pair, bouncing from one to another with a jump!

Suddenly Miss Victory, feeling the battle which was wavering might be slipping away from them saw Fission unleash an incredible burst of energy - easily enough to level a city! - at the targets!
The Villain who called himself SUPREME was smashed into the ground, making a crater fifty feet across and causing the earth to shake! Distant car alarms went off, windows shattered and more of the beautiful tended park in the front of the White House was destroyed! The Power Leech who had stolen Captain Atoms strength was caught up in it and tumbled from the sky, landing with a THWUMP!
"Zigged when he should have zagged" called out Fission. "Got lucky!" he breathed out, relieved. "Just one more to take down then we can get back there!"
Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter turned to the Energy user who glanced about. "Suddenly this doesn't seem like a great idea..." he muttered.
"Pincer attack! GO!" yelled Wonder Woman! She flew up into the air and threw her Lasso at the remaining villain!

"Two team attacks," Miss Victory decides, "myself, Wonder Woman and Fission together. Then the other 3 together! Wonder Woman, can you use your lasso to grab Power Leech and hit Energy Guy with him? May not do anything but who knows until we try."

Lionheart goaded the big guy... and sped past him to attack the woman who tried to avoid the incoming blow!

Despite a powerful force field that could protect her from most munitions short of a nuclear blast (and even then her ability to absorb energy would mean a nuclear blast would be pretty much ignored) Lionheart delivered a series of super fast and strong blows which pinged the woman about inside the Space Station open area like a pinball!
Rather than collapse in a heap, she rose, annoyed!
"You'll PAY for that, GNAT!" she screamed!
"Wait yer turn!" snarled the giant, BRUTE!
Despite his astonishing size and strength, more amazing was the Brutes' speed! With his own speed reduction Lionheart was suddenly aware that his foe was moving faster (at least with regards handspeed) than he was!

A ringing filled Lionhearts ears. He'd been struck by a fist as fast as he and with skill that matched his own. He might have been able to avoid it with the best of his speed but...
A yellow blur and Salamander slashed razor - no, sharper than diamond - claws at him! He threw his arms up, hoping his force field could slow the blow down!

Turning away with astonishing agility Lionheart sees the claws slash clean through the dented metal he'd been laying up against as if it were paper! He stumbled forward, reeling, wondering how he was going to get out of this one!

"No, WAIT!" said the Yellow Lizardman. "The gate! We need to..."

The blast - as powerful as Lionheart could remember facing recently, or at least in the last hour, MISSED him - just - but punched through the walls and floors of the Space Station!
As strong as steel but made of an ultra light and an experimental cheap easily workable material until 'activated' by a simple process that allowed it to be formed into unlimited shapes and uses, especially aboard a space station, the walls, floors, ceilings and doors were normally fire, cold and extreme environment resistant as well as being programmed to seal instantly in the case of a breach.

Lionheart dives to the side - just - and suddenly the world tumbles! He bounces from multiple hard surfaces and is plunged into absolute darkness of the void of space!
The Space Station pulls away from him as he gets his bearings. He was injured but alive. That blast though, had it struck...? Diminished as he was he knew he was outmatched by this trio! The Lizard guy, maybe even the energy woman he could take but that behemoth with the strength? He was doubtful but when they were three and he was but one...
Zooming in with the incredible telescopic vision available to him Lionheart saw the outer hull of the Space Station sealing itself and hardening. Remarkable, and incredibly durable in a heartbeat! Of course, that meant the villains were in there and Lionheart was out here in orbit, injured, with a lot of his powers down and outnumbered against a trio of bad guys who could pretty much blast him through the walls at will!
Sometimes, days were great, others, they were bad. Worse than that, some days were terrible and ... well... then there were days like this...

Miss Victory leapt at the Energy Villain and was suddenly mindful that the foe was sheathed in energy!

Lionheart didn't want to think through the unpalatable option before him, but the truth was he was outgunned, outmatched and frankly out of his depth. It's not always about doing the math and still making it all work. Sometimes it is turning away from one fight to win another and save the war, several more fights down the line. And this was a war, casualties were a part of that.
A firm grip on his jaw he looked again to the earth, to the United States and to Washington. Somewhere down there, was a battle going on he was tasked with being part of. That had to be done first and then he could refocus on the station.

Miss Victory knew they were in trouble now. They didn't have the sheer speed or power to take down this villain. She would put up a fight, Wonder Woman wouldn't surrender either, but this was it.
She glanced about at the fallen heroes. The beaten villains. The mess. This place looked like a warzone, and it IS a warzone... a war the good guys were on the verge of losing...
"What's that?" asked Wonder Woman, pointing to the sky... Oh no. MORE villains? "I can see... one incoming target. Costume I think... heading from space... not one I recognise, too far away. Another bad guy?" she said, using her telescopic vision. The distant CRACK and BOOM with the flaring heat from the incoming flight indicated that the flier was travelling inwards at a VERY dangerous speed!
"Give up yet?" laughed the villain.
THOOMMMMM!!!!
The rush of air and thunderclap as Lionheart 'arrived' caused a fearsome wind that had soldiers and brave/foolish distant onlookers reeling, running for cover or simply tumbling away! Debris from the battle was blown high into the air and even the energy villain turned. "Alright, I'll ask the first question. Who the hell are you?"
Miss Victory saw her team mate arrive, the air superheated and glowing around him! A mental blast from his should finish off this bad guy! She hoped...

OOC: Ugh of all the times for my mental energy to be on a Friday Fritz. Anyway 3/2 strength and speed as before with Martial arts, whatever seems best in this situation - hoping that I can get a hit on them with a devastating attack. Oh and I think I meant to say that I absorb any damage from before as much as I can anyway.
Lionheart wanted to say something funny, but he could see from the utter devastation that this was no laughing matter - it was a massacre, he had to hope he wasn't too late, nor that his subset of skills, given his recent setback was still going to cut it. He'd been gone too long, now he had time to make up.

Delivering a terrific uppercut and a brutal foot to the stomach, Miss Victory finally finished off her foe with a backhand that sent the villain tumbling to the ground as the heroine landed next to... her???
Transformed into human form, the unconscious villain was revealed to be a tall, well built woman in an orange prison uniform. She was powerful and a tricky opponent, but she was down. in her energy form her buzzing voice and flowing energy shape was sexless.
"We need to help whoever is downed." said Wonder Woman. She looked about. "Which is everyone. Who are you?" asked the Amazon warrior with a hand held out to Lionheart to shake, and to Miss Victory whom she'd not been introduced to...

Lionheart took her hand and explained who he was, not wanting to take too long down here, but filling in all the necessary details about the ULtrahumans, the space station, his recent tussle with the nuc and his return. Then in mere moments was back at the White House, for the second time that day. "Right, how are we going to get ourselves and the President out?"

The Police and National Guard moved in tentatively. The powers been thrown about in this battle were so far above their pay grade it was scary. Nuclear grade energy blasts, punches that levelled mountains, skin that resisted anything made by mortal man. Gods throwing around lightning bolts and laughing in the storm with frightened mortals looking on in terror.
One of the cops stepped up. "Communications are down. No cell phone signals anywhere in the capital. It's chaos! The internet went down too. Stock markets are going nuts, news channels are reporting the President is dead, the capital has been nuked..." he looked at one of the downed villains, pulled his sidearm and put three rounds into the bad guys chest.
"Look at this! LOOK!" he said, leaning down and picking the flattened slugs from the bad guys chest. "You see? We're powerless against this! When these guys wake up, they'll tear through any prison, kill anyone in their way... where have they come from? What can we do against them?" wailed the cop. "ya know, my brother in law said ADVENT offered to take the supers off the streets and our government turned them down. Now we got these... these monsters. I see... Green Lantern there. Captain Atom. Martian Manhunter. The New Titans over there. Kids! They didn't last five seconds! What chance do we have?"
The dazed cop wandered off.
Wonder Woman frowned. "Once upon a time I thought the Justice League were the most powerful supers on the planet. Then the Ultrahumans formed and their power put everyone else in the shade. We're retired. We're no longer needed, but we heeded the call!" she said. "The Ultrahumans will protect everyone. Where are they? Silver Sentinel? Thunder Woman and the others?" she scowled. "Maybe the Justice League has a place after all."
OOC It's ENTIRELY up to you guys how much I cross over characters from the DC Universe - after all we run the DC Heroes game and it means I don't have to stat gazillions of characters if I use them but... and it's a big one. You guys fly higher in a different plane of power from even the likes of Superman. Dr Manhattan might slow you down some but post crisis supers (that is from 85 on) are a step down from where you guys are at. At some point we'll be creeping into 1e power levels. I can also cross Marvel characters statted up from www.writeups.org but they are little better for our needs. Still, it adds flavour and pads out our universe even more, and this is probably the first time in 10-11 years we've spent any great time in the U S of A in our game universe. Maybe they have been here all along...

OOC Of course, there's nothing stopping me from tweaking the DC/Marvel characters, but at the moment I like the idea of you guys being among the biggest hitters (and even then you are about half way up the Ultrahumans scale. Silver Sentinel would knock 1e Superman silly).

ooc: I disagree with you on this. While Miss Victory's strength can equal Thor's, she can't surpass it at present and probably never will. And dividing her few remaining power points between Dex and Body, will make her weaker in being able to take damage from him.
At best, she can raise one stat, like strength, to 23 leaving very few points for Body and/or Dex. So what good is that kind of strength if she doesn't have the Dex to hit a foe with it or the Body to absorb being hit by such a foe? Since she tries to keep her 3 physical stats close to each other, that puts her in the mid/high teens for those stats, so there are any number of DC and Marvel characters that can easily go toe to toe with her and can beat her or it would come down to how the dice rolls if it was close.
Looking over the World at War supplement, the only one I have at work, she can beat the Golden Age Superman with his measly 11 Str and 10 Body.
Solomon Grundy, probably could take him down.
Captain Nazi? That would actually be a close fight. She could out Dex him a bit and put some points into Strength but if the dice are against her, he could win.
Baron Blitzkrieg's power reserve could give him victory over her.
Uncle Sam? With his lower Dex she might win that fight but I wouldn't say she could do it every time.
The Specter on just his stats alone would wipe the floor with her. Using his powers, could take out Lionheart too. 45 Sorcery!?!?!?!? Grow to giant-size, increase his stats and SPLAT Lionheart with the palm of his hand.
That assumes his Aura of Fear doesn't make him curl up into a ball and cry.
But that's only physical stats, others have mental and magical powers that could put her down. I don't even want to think what Prof. X could do to her with his mental blasts.
Now Lionheart? That's different. The folks that can walk side by side with him are very small in number.

OOC: Can't speak for Dave, I have no problem personally. After all, this is like an Elseworlds kinda thing. I wonder if my suit can still get through to Wandafar, or if satellites are down as well?

Since coms are down, we need a way to get to the President, an unbreakable shield is great, except if you're locked in with the bad guys! Right now the Ultrahumans are stretched so thin and coms is out, do you have any pull with anyone left who can get into that bunker. Otherwise, we're sitting here till doomsday - which at the rate we're going might not be that far away." Lionheart then proceeded to fill in what had been happening on the space station above. "If we can't get to the President, maybe we can free the satellite and start to gain some ground. Nexus needs that sat for his base of operations. If we can take them down up there we can start to put a dent in that."

With regards Miss V vs Thor the key stat is Dex. Miss Victory could split her points between Dex and Str, win initiative every time then batter Thor with a devastating attack (-12 to his RV means with her stats at Dex 18/Str 20 and hitting Thor once (with his RV14 -12=2RV so 18 damage) he's using Hp to stay up, is stunned and next round without skills gets battered into the floor.
As mentioned, Dex is key which is why Lionheart is so effective and Miss Victory not far behind with Dex 23/Str 16 if she needs it. Sure, she can't take a hit as well but with that Dex chances of hitting are minimal. Thor (Dex 7) with +5D from Weaponry (if he uses the hammer damage is 24 but he cannot then use force shield for defence) he'd need a great roll to overcome -16 Dex. Like... say he rolls 30 and with her extra defence dice Miss V rolls 15. Thor still misses.
I'll run the fight for fun, but I don't expect it to go other than as predicted. Of course, dice might have a say in it. I'll stick it in the OOC section and update properly when I get home.
Spectre ... depends. Does he win initiative? No. Depends on whether Lionheart one shots him. If Spectre gets a chance to use that sorcery than a 45AP Magic Blast (or whatever it is, world shattering power anyway) drops pretty much anyone in the game. If we are talking purely stats based two characters squaring up? I would say Lionheart wins initiative, Dev Attacks Spectre silly and stunned (HP to stay conscious) and next round turns him into a smear. Using the character properly? Spectre has Danger Sense running constantly, knows LH is coming and is ready. No chance. Spectre is invisible and zaps Lionheart before LH even rolls for initiative. That's probably a more likely scenario. Spectre is a beast. Sorry, THE beast of the DC Universe.

If we are talking purely stats based two characters squaring up? I would say Lionheart wins initiative, Dev Attacks Spectre silly and stunned (HP to stay conscious) and next round turns him into a smear. Using the character properly? Spectre has Danger Sense running constantly, knows LH is coming and is ready. No chance. Spectre is invisible and zaps Lionheart before LH even rolls for initiative. That's probably a more likely scenario. Spectre is a beast. Sorry, THE beast of the DC Universe.

ooc: When you do the mock combat, remember she wouldn't metagame it much. She doesn't know how strong Thor really is or what his stats are. She knows he is one of the strongest, can throw his hammer for miles, fly and summon lightning - a lot of lightning.
So she would do the first round of her first meeting with him in her go-to Power Reserve layout: 15 Dex, 17 Str and 14 Body [her Body went up by one so the go-to listed is wrong - 14 not 13 Body]. And she would either use Crit instead of Devastating or just a regular attack since she wouldn't know what his Dex is like.
If she hits him that first round, depending on how easily she hits him and how much damage, if any, she does to him, then the second round she might juggle her stats around and might go Devastating or go with Crit.
Remember, she is not a veteran of countless battles. She is going to be conservative in allocating her Power Reserve. That's why her go-to is set up the way it is.
So Thor probably wouldn't be stunned that first round, he might not even be hurt. Whether he can hit her or not that round, is up to the dice. Maybe her 15 Dex and Acrobatics would allow her to dodge his attack, maybe not. Maybe instead of punching her, he might blast her with lightning, which her skim armor wouldn't protect her from. So she might be the one who goes down that first round.

OOC So as not to derail things, I'll take the 'Miss Victory vs ... THE WORLD!' thread to OOC where we can discuss the existing comic based characters vs the campaign characters, rules, tactics and 'the dice hate me' which will come up at some point without any doubt at all 
Wonder Woman frowned and sighed. "I'll give ... Kal El a call, if I can find a cell phone that actually works. He settled down to raise a family years ago but he's a Kryptonian. With the Ultrahumans so obviously more powerful than even Superman he figured he'd earned a rest though I know he pitches in with natural disasters these days. There's someone else I can call on but he spends more time in a cave these days and in terms of planning and logistics he's the best."
"I'll also keep an eye on things up here. Hopefully none of these bad guys will wake up because... well. We really can't go through that again." she said, and with that she dragged the villains into a group and looped her rope around them all. "I have a horrible, nagging feeling that one or more of these could break my 'unbreakable' lasso." she added. "Zeus would be most displeased."
Lionheart and Miss Victory made their way to the White House with Lionheart trying all the while to contact Wandafar. That failed because the interlaced circuitry in the costume relied on 'piggybacking' existing technology to achieve links and thanks to the extensive 'blacking out' that had gone on in orbit to crush communications, it was effectively non operable.
The most famous house in the world was essentially a burned out ruin. The President was still a prisoner in the basement 'super bunker' and who knew where her vice president was (OOC Mentioned a couple of times that the President is a woman... and I predict ... we'll see one in five years! Remember you saw it here first!!! Let's not do politics on here though, this is my haven from the endless crap we've been subjected to for the last... however long (it feels like forever)). The rules regarding leadership of the country meant that *someone* would be in charge, even if it was the minister for housing (OOC or equivalent. Think I lasted a couple of seasons of designated survivor then interest fell away.) so the country would continue to function - once all this chaos was ended!
Of course if ADVENT turned up to 'save the day' public opinion, the press and what was left of the government might take the offer up.
General Battle saw Miss Victory return. "Well damn, Missy, ain't you tougher'n you look an' pretty as a picture!" he called out as his super agents relaxed some. They'd been expecting a band of ultra villains to enter the tunnel and smash them into smithereens.
Lionheart approached and General Battle straightened up. "I'm in charge here, not that it looks like I'm in charge of anything. The President is in there with a team of bad guys who took the defences by surprise, overwhelmed them, took the President and locked themselves in the super bunker. It's nuclear bomb proof, immune to mental and mystical attacks and self contained. Nothing we have can break in, and it was designed that way to give time for whatever was going outside it to get sorted out. Ah have no idea who you are son but ah'm hopin you got some ideas cause I'm all out. If those guys drop th' field DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT rush in. The President is a hostage and ah won't lose a Commander in Chief by chargin' in when another option is available." he sighed. "After this there's gonna be a lot of jiggin round. This old place will be rebuilt and might look the same but... I guarantee you if I have a say there's no way this will ever happen again."

Without his danger sense he couldn't tell if it was hazardous to touch but he suspected that the same people who had a hand in the prison will have helped design this place. It was strong enough to survive a nuclear blast and Lionheart had to wonder if he had the sheer fire power to get through something like that (OOC I doubt it. Frostbite knows a young fellow who might have that kind of power though...)...

Mindful of the situation outside and that Advent could easily swoop in with help too good to pass up, as the cop outside had only to plainly illustrated, Lionheart took a good long look at the vault.
OOC:i.e. looking at it with my skills as a detective and a thief par excellence to try and see if there is a way to crack this baby that doesn't involve brute force which seems to be beyond most of our talents right now.
Lionheart took his time, what else could he do. With the President unaccounted for, and his own powers diminished as a result of his recent mental blow out, he needed time to consider what he could do. Besides this was still part of the plan, delaying it potentially set in motion other countermeasures the others had thought out, but that gave them some wiggle room. The president must be important hence keeping her alive, but to what end. Being here meant they intended to collect at some point, so they had every reason to stop here and try and crack this nut till they'd exhausted all other options. If only Wandafar was here, Lionheart mused, over the possibility of going to get him...again!
