All the best with that mate, I am so busy, not least of all because got my Mum's funeral to sort out for next Tues, and Carols service and what, not this Sunday. So I am good with that. Anyway, hope you manage alright and the crowds and shops aren't too stressful.

Re: Chat about anything else!
Awww crikey. Sorry to hear about your mum mate. Puts things into perspective when I post about my own (trivial in the grand scheme these days compared to the stress of the last four months) and get a reality check of what friends are going through.
Christmas isn't what it used to be for me. I'm reminded of when Dad left Mum, and me and her were sat at a table crying on Xmas day. As far as I know he's still alive and well somewhere (It's been 11 years since I had contact as he severed all ties) but the reminder is there, every year...
Still, for the kids (and others) chin up and all that!
If you ever feel a need to chat (I'm no expert at anything but am a friendly ear) I'm easy to get in touch with.
Cheers, Paul

Yeah, tough times. My Aunt Fran died last week. Funeral is on the 20th but I can't make it. It's a 22 hour drive to get to San Antonio, Texas and I don't trust the airlines to get me there and back and I don't think I can wear a mask for the whole trip. I usually have to take it off after 5-10 minutes in order to breath better. Airlines hate you taking off your mask.

Crikey, sorry to hear that. A bit less than our usual cheerful selves for good reason sadly.
I'll see what I can do by updating and livening things up

Ah, Dave sorry to hear that my friend, always a difficult one - sometimes they now stream the service so that you can at least be there in spirit if not in person. I hope you are otherwise keeping well.

Re: Chat about anything else!
Ahhh Best laid plans... or something like that. Had my youngest son stay all week (wasn't planned, was how it turned out), posting opportunities... nil! Back to work tomorrow but at least some semblance of normality will begin again.
Hope all of you had a nice Xmas and fingers crossed for all to have a good new Year!
Cheers!
Will now see how many threads I can update before I have to hit the sack. Up at 3am for an early start on New Years day
Cheers, Paul

Happy New Year to you Paul and Dave, sorry bit manic today, but hope to post tonight or tomorrow morning. Out having some fun and enjoying the New Year and all that. I'm glad you got time with your son, you won't regret it esp since this can wait and so can we. ;-)

Got this email, might be of interest to some:
Subject - Product Squadron UK - colour has been updated
Ten years after the game was first released, I've finally stuck the covers onto the pdf to create a single file. Apologies for the delay and thanks for your support.

Re: Chat about anything else!
I'll have a look at that! It's been so long since we played Golden Heroes I'm ashamed to say I'd have to give the rules a skim over. The clone of that game is Codename Spandex as Simon was sent a C&D by Games Workshop so had to change things to distance from the original. Of course Squadron UK features art by our very own Steeplejack so will always hold a place in my heart
In other news, head spinning. On nights this week and you can tot up how much sleep I've had in one go on a few fingers. A few days off after tomorrows 0115am start, thankfully, so let's see what I can get updated with!

Re: Chat about anything else!
I may have turned a corner...
It's sad news but a blessing in a way. The other halves Father has been ill for months now, since about April/May. There's been a lot of dropping stuff, helping out, running around and so on and my personal time (as you may have noticed) has suffered. Well, the old boy passed away yesterday (he was 91, a good innings for sure) and aside from needing to help/support the Girlfriend at this time all the other stuff (for example: like driving for two hours to go sort the old boys house and car out, for example, then driving back after two days of graft and not getting a word of thanks - i think he's from a different era from the please/thankyou I was raised to respect...) should hopefully ease off and I can *finally*, after this most disruptive of years, get back to my life. The lock up was finally emptied (it's been 7 years since I filled it, and took that long to finally say everything I own is here at my own home rather than scattered) and it feels like there's light at the end of the tunnel.
Just got the usual 10-12 hour work shifts to juggle
Thanks for your patience guys. Cheers, Paul

Sorry to hear of your loss, Paul. Keep on Keepin' On!
As to Golden Heroes, it is very street level heroes. It had a good run with a number of adventure modules released. Way back when, this game started out with those rules before moving on to DC Heroes and Blood of Heroes we currently use.

Re: Chat about anything else!
Yay! Lost internet connection for two days due to Hurricane/Tropical Storm Ian. It's back!
Oh, and I got rear-ended Friday on my way to work. Only a quarter mile to go. Got an ambulance to take me to hospital because of neck and back pain. Turned out just pulled muscles. Now waiting to see what kind of work needs to be done to repair my car or if it will be totaled. Got to get a rental Sunday afternoon so I can go to work on Monday.

Oh Dave, it sounds as if everything that could go wrong did all at once. Anyone of these would be troubling enough, a hassle, stress and or an annoyance, but coming as they so often do one after another is taxing to anyone's resources. I hope things get sorted and that things are sorted in short order.

Re: Chat about anything else!
Sorry to hear about your troubles David, hope you get sorted out... From personal experience these things take months to figure out. You may have effects from the rear ending that don't pop up for a week or so. I thought I was fine but had sciatica for 10 months and white with pain because I couldn't walk upright, all from a low speed (less than 40mph but I was stationery at the time when I was run into) shunt.
Since Justines' (other half) Dad died I've not had a day where she'd not needed supporting in some way. Yesterday was hard - Solicitor, Funeral Director, house viewings and for some reason I'd volunteered myself to cut the jungle of a garden. Today more of a wind down and I'll be back to work Friday which means the rest of the day will be mine and *fingers crossed* can sit down at a computer for more than two minutes instead of grabbing a few minutes with my phone every day.
I'm happy to support her and be a shoulder to cry on but kinda missing my own life after months of disruption! Things will settle down, just takes time. Anyway, I'll see what I can update this morning and go from there. Cheers guys.

Sorry to have been a bit slow, life has changed so much and where before I had easy access and time in spades to reply as i wanted, that has now changed. Anyway, I say this because I, like you Paul have seen things change and that has slowed my response times down to when I can meaningfully reply. As it is I am writing this in a NHS facility right now (not for me, other family member) anyway them's the breaks. So I have no problem cutting slack to you guys as I now find I need it as well.
Anyway gonna try and update my replies but might be a bit slow getting them all done.

The fun continues. Just sat in A&E awaiting someone to see me. Hadn't been feeling well and managed to finally see a Doctor. He reckons meningitis hence the 'I'll call you an ambulance'. I think not. Anyway I know how this goes. I'll die of old age and boredom before anything else, all being well. I'll keep you posted

Re: Chat about anything else!
Quick update - whatever is causing the splitting headaches, earache, red hot poker feeling in the ears, dizziness, sensitivity to light, stiff neck, blurred vision and general feeling rotten isn't meningitis apparently. Yay! It only took a doctors appointment, drive through rush hour traffic and 8 hours of mostly sitting about in A&E with the doors open and feeling freezing cold to figure that out. Talk about a wild goose chase, but at least I know what it isn't so every cloud and all that. It's 0124, just got in after leaving the house at 1500 so sack time but more updates tomorrow...night!
