Re: The NEW Vangurd! Issue #3 - New Team, old problems - Lionheart/Frostbite/Silver Sentinel/Wandafar (for now - see text)
OOC Damage absorbed by HP.
Lionheart floats up next to the damaged machine which looks like an inverted laser beam projector from a science fiction movie, pointing down instead of up.
The damage was extensive. Those huge super strong hands had done their work and shredded the interior. It would take a genius along the lines of Wandafar, a roll of wire, some forks and spoons and tin foil no doubt other knick knacks that the diminutive genius could cook up into something to jury rig the machine.
Stifling a muttered curse he started to turn away then paused. Or Silver Sentinel. Or Centurion as he called himself now. He might be able to fix this with a wave of his hand, without even actually knowing how he'd done it! Lionheart wondered if the power weren't some conscious effort on the part of the young hero from the 1940s and instead some latent mental or magical ability that simply did what was required with little or no input from the wielder.
Suddenly there was an explosion of shattered metal and plastic from one of the cells below him. Lionheart looked down and saw a man with blue skin climbing through a hole he'd made in his cell, now no longer reinforced by the energy field or its power dampening qualities!
Lionheart was about to react when he saw that the blue mans laser blast had not only slashed through the cell walls, but had punched through the ceramic tiled wall of the shaft and through into the prison.
Just how powerful were these people?
As if to answer Lionhearts Danger Sense caused him to wince, going off with such ferocity it felt like an attack itself!
OOC The blue skinned guy is some 100 feet or so below where Lionheart is at the moment. He might not have seen the hero but he's set alarm bells ringing in Lionhearts head. And that's just one of the cells occupants...

Lionheart surmised that attacking this guy, would only bring down the wrath of the whole prison population upon him. No he needed Centurion here, to repair this or at least work out some way to stop this before it got any worse.Admin wrote:As if to answer Lionhearts Danger Sense caused him to wince, going off with such ferocity it felt like an attack itself!

Changing tack Lionheart primed his mental powers to increase his speed, agility and defences, otherwise he'd be a sitting duck for whatever malcontent wanted to off him first. And he wasn't about to make that any easier.
With a swift motion, the fastest eye would struggle to see, Lionheart speed down the wall and out the way he came toward his companions.
OOC: "Ok use power reserve to prime superspeed and get me toward the others. A) to warn them things are about to go pare shaped and B) to see if Centurion can rig up a supersized dampening filed - Ross you will need to add Hero points equal to the rating, that way not only will you get a good roll, but it might strip them of powers till the next century, but make it able to stop dampening out powers or we'll be reduced to throwing rocks at one another ;-)"

OOC Snatching what time I have before needing to hit the sack again. One of those work/kids/find time to breathe type weeks. Right then Frostbite has Energy Blast 15, add 13HP (to put him on the 28-30 column) to Acting and Effect. If you really want to take this guy out suggest a Critical Blow (a devastating attack would increase the bang but also runs higher risk of missing). Will assume you go for that... Roll 6+9 (15). You only needed 5 or over thanks to the Hp you spent, the 15 gives you the same effect as if you'd hit with a Devastating attack... I suspect this battle will be somewhat anticlimatic...
Frostbite gathered his full fury and unleashed it into a single thin stream of mindbending cold!
The vacuum of space would be warmer!
The villain known as Napalm started to utter a few words. "What? Cold? Don't you know who I..."
The words died on his lips as his liquid flame form solidified, turning all too human and very very blue with cold! He was frozen like a statue in mid air tethered to the ground and surrounding buildings with tendrils of ice. Indeed the concrete nearby cracked and split with loud CRACKS! and for those onlooking guards it became clear that Napalm, a villain thought to be incredibly dangerous and worthy of the utmost respect even by the UKChampions, foremost defenders of the land, had been 'one-shotted'.
Frostbite pulled his hand back and 'blew' his finger, sending flakes of snow fluttering off...
OOC 27 RAPs damage. These bad guys have a few HP but probably not enough to absorb that kind of hit with that sort of roll. Napalm is knocked unconscious! Mind you, what HP they do have would have maybe done the same to Frosty so it was a case of who draws first ...? Just need Ross to post and can move Frosty/Centurion on. My next posts will see Lionheart, Haunt, Stormbreaker all move. Should be tomorrow now, probably around the 0800-0900 time I should think. Not that my life is mapped out to the second at the moment... oh wait...

OOC: Sorry for the late post guys. Yeah max points on resist as im guessing his will isn't Too strong and he 'felt' this attack coming and there is no way he can dodge a mental attack without taking a holiday from his brain..... that was a joke Paul please don't rip his brain out.
If all goes well and my man resists he would like to incapacitated the villain with a plasma blast bringing the concrete down on him then dusting his hands off followed by a cheesy line like "Now you've put him on ice lets grab the bull by the horns".

OOC No worries on posting Ross, I know how tricky it is to sit down and type (sat on a train whilst diggers shovel coal into the wagons even as I speak, so this post will probably get interrupted)
Centurion spends 5HP on Opposing Value and 5HP on Resistance Value to bring his up from 6 of each to the 11-12 column on the table. That has an immediate effect - instead of succeeding, the attack fails!
Steeling himself against the unseen mental onslaught, Centurion grinds his teeth and thinks of things that distract him from the now...
Unfortunately its of past times, times now gone by 75 or so years. It still works, though leaves him sad to know that all of his family and friends from that era are long dead.
Using that though he levels an arm and fires a blaster at the wall above where he thinks the escaped prisoner will be...
OOC Attack with Energy Blast...2d10 → [2,2] = (4) DOUBLE plus 2d10 → [2,3] = (5) Mixed bag. Despite the double, only 9 rolled in total. However, with 16 Energy blast that is more than enough required to blow a hole through reinforced concrete! Rubble the size of a truck comes showering down where Centurion thinks his target is!
CRASH! RUMBLE! BOOM!
Dust and rubble come cascading down to form a small mountain in the courtyard of the prison! The rain helps to dampen it down some, and when it settles seconds later there is a huge hole in one of the prison walls, a heaped mound of rubble some thirty feet high and almost twice that across, and no sign of any of the three prison escapees!
Frostbite glances to the prison guards who are coming from their hiding places with guns and shocked looks on their faces. One looks up in fear at the hovering heroes and asks "Did you... did you kill them?"
Centurion lets out his quip about grasping the bull by the horns, and the half dozen or so armed guards look at him through the heavy rain, then back at the heaped mound.
Through the hole in the side of the prison a bemused prisoner, sat on the toilet with an old magazine in hand, gapes as the world looks in on him. The WHUPP WHUPP of a hovering helicopter nearby as another press 'copter arrives on the scene contrasts with the hiss of rain and silence of those gathered.
One guard seems to take charge. "YOU TWO!" he bellows. "Before you do any more damage, I need you down here! NOW!" The older guard has an angry look on his face. Inside the prison a series of crashes and bangs can be heard somewhere.

Moving with astonishing speed Lionheart speeds through the prison using the holes Minotaur had made, ducking around and past still falling rubble, fearful prisoners and guards, and leaping over fallen debris.
At his speed it wasn't always easy to tell just how far he'd travelled - one second he was there, another somewhere else, but he realised on the way back just how fast and how hard the Minotaur had come! Hundreds of yards through the vast prison complex and a heartbeat later, Lionheart arrived in the Prison courtyard and back out into the rain, which his forcefield protected him from. There was dust and debris everywhere, and his friends were hovering in the air whilst prison guards looked on at a pile of mounded rubble. There was no visible sign of the villains his friends had been fighting but several of the guards looked unhappy - to say the least - at the devastation that had taken place!
Behind him loud noises rang out. The need to get that containment field up and running again was reinforced when a higher pitched alarm rang out and silenced the previous alarm. Lionheart heard an older, grizzled guard mutter "Crap. That's torn it. Max detention containment is down! Now we're screwed! Is... Control! What are we like for general population containment? The power dampening field? Is it... oh no!" he muttered into his radio upon hearing the reply that containment for the entire prison was down...
OOC The trio are back together again in the courtyard of the prison. It's a mess, looking like someone bombed it from a plane, but the three villains are neutralised and the prisoners are still within the prison walls... but (very soon) to regain their superhuman powers and then all hell will break loose!

OOC: "Does anyone else have problems posting when you hit reply and it gives Paul's text as above, but you can't get the cursor to write outside of the quote box above. So annoying so had to cut and paste this in a new reply, ok on with duties"
As Frostbite looked to the guard, he noted that man was not backing down. "I admire courage, and you must have quite a bit to take this job on. I guess you probably feared this day would happen, despite talk of contingencies..."
Frostbite descended as he spoke, but was suddenly cut off by the sudden appearance of Lionheart. "Frostbite, Centurion, we've got big problems. The Minotaur is down, but I need Centurion to rebuild the dampening field, the creature damaged it but good. We're about to have a world of hurt hit us if we don't get something back online and I mean yesterday. Centurion can you get something together, to work until the main one can be brought back online?"
Frostbite listened as at the same moment the guard was speaking into what looked like some sort of Walky talky. Noting the pale look of shock, the guard clearly had got the same confirmation, himself.
Nodding to Centurion, Frostbite said, "Friend, if we ever needed you to rig something together powerful to shut this down, now it would seem is that time."

"Dam i was looking forward to that fight, what the hell do i know but containment field generator thingys Im from the fort...
Anyway lead the way". Steve gestured to lead on but he was right he knew nothing about the generator and was praying the extent of his powers that somehow understood technology that was far far beyond his grasp.

Re: The NEW Vangurd! Issue #3 - New Team, old problems - Lionheart/Frostbite/Silver Sentinel/Wandafar (for now - see text)
The guard was shaken but a veteran of many years and he gathered himself "This is turning into a disaster!" he declared.
"Standard procedure is for special army units to scramble and be here in less than 20 minutes. When the alarms sounded they'll have been called so they'll be here shortly. In the meantime whoever you two... three are I have to insist that you NOT kill any inmates. That said... some of the nastiest, most violent scumbags that have ever been dragged off the streets are in this place. The lower levels... they are killers. If you can get that containment field back up somehow we can maybe contain this... if not?"
His voice trailed off.
Lionhearts superhuman senses told him there were incoming air vehicles - he suspected helicopters and more than a few of them. That would be the army. There was something else.
A distant crack, too far away to determine the origin, but Lionheart figured there would be other superhumans on the scene shortly. This could get complicated...
Lionheart led the way through the rubble of the smashed prison area. Some inmates were gathering what they could to use as makeshift weapons - clearly not everyone in this place was superhuman. The trio passed through rooms strewn with rubble and smashed concrete, into and out of corridors that were covered in paper and office type mess, along with shouting and running prisoners that were only just realising what was going on.
In minutes a full blow riot would be taking place!
Lionhearts danger sense warned him an instant before a wall of pure blackness popped up in front of him. It filled the hole in the wall in front of him. Something... some sense of foreboding... told him the darkness was a vile, living thing, something that hungered for warm human flesh!
Frostbite and Centurion came up behind Lionheart and looked at the inky blackness. No light emanated from it. It formed a seal of the next room where before there'd been a hole in the reinforced concrete wall...
OOC You have several problems:
1) Escaping inmates. Some are powered, some not. The guards may be able to handle some of the unpowered ones (and when the army gets here, the powered ones as well, up to a certain level) but the situation will escalate if not contained.
2) The path to the central chamber has been blocked by this black, 'living' stuff that looks like obsidian/black glass. You can go round, but there may be something going on in there that needs stopping. You can't see through the darkness, and Lionheart has the feeling that touching it might be a bad idea. Going round will take time but Lionheart can zip about at superspeed.
3) Incoming complications. Army special forces and a hypersonic 'something' or 'somethings'.
4) Very bad superhumans are out of their cages. If they haven't recovered their powers immediately then they will in a short time. These are not your run of the mill strong goons who can toss cars about. You may have encountered one (the wall of blackness encapsulating the room ahead of the trio) and who knows what's going on in that room?

OOC: "Hmm the pain of decision..."
Lionheart reported to the others his awareness of the problem ahead, then continued, "This thing is blocking the most direct route, so either Centurion you try to contain this thing, or we go around it. Personally I get the impression this thing is spoiling for a fight, but right now time is against us. So..."
"So..." Frostbite continued, "I'll take a look to see what is the other side of the wall and we can find a way through."
With Lionheart's guidance, Frostbite was directed to a space along the same wall but far away from the obsidian creature, so that he might activitate his dispersal and see if the space the other side was safe to bash through, hoping this didn't lead to further complications. He was only to aware that their presence in this time was already caused complications. There being here, might well warrant undue attention, that they could do without if the forces that were fast approaching came upon them before the job was done.
OOC: "Ok so moving along the wall will use dispersal to try and get through the wall at a point when there is no obvious danger the other side, as per Lionheart's advanced senses and then poke my head through for a quick quiet look. Assuming all is clear I'll let the strong arm boys bash a hole through and wait for them the other side.
If however there is a problem the other side we might want to use the element of surprise to attack, since I think we've got little choice if we're going to complete our main objective and get to the dampening field."

((I'm posting this here mostly to improve the odds of Ross seeing it. There isn't any functional reason that Silver Sentinel can't use his Fabricate power to make a negation field generator out of spare scrap metal in the area. It probably won't be as powerful as the one in the core of the prison but it would probably do as a band-aid solution to help you get through to the centre of the prison. Just a thought.))

OOC: "In that case Ross use the same amount of HP for your acting and effective results as equal to the amount in your power. That way you make your power like on steroids and effectively increase both the chance of success and the magnitude of success, much like your suit. You could make a huge difference to this scenario if you get a good result."

OOC: Even if this thing escapes from my cobbled together prison it could even us at least some valuable time. We really should concentrate on saving/helping the guards after all that's what being a hero is all about even if we all get killed in the process......hopefully not though.
Say 5HP on trying to contain the black thang but without damaging it or even touching it

I think that would make everyone within the area a lot more vulnerable including the black blob, rather than just trying to imprison it. What do you think? "

Even if centurion doesnt understand tech doesnt mean his powers cant interoperate what he wants but will there be any bad side effects if the roll is terrible or will in just not work? We dont want to be out numbered and out gunned.

Re: The NEW Vangurd! Issue #3 - New Team, old problems - Lionheart/Frostbite/Silver Sentinel/Wandafar (for now - see text)
Frostbite moves through a wall and looks at what appears to be another wall of black pulsing energy...
It seems to take in walls and floors and form what Frostbite assumes is a sphere about a dozen metres across. All of a sudden there is what appears to be a 'splash' from the sphere and a giant black hand and arm plunges from the sphere to attack Frostbite!
OOC Roll 1+8 (9) Hit... But the hand passes harmlessly through Frostbite...
The black hand sweeps through Frostbite and he shudders.
'The Dark Energy clearly has a physical manifestation that can be used to attack at a distance. However your destabilised form has thus far proven insubstantial to its' attack. Without more accurate information all I can offer is conjecture' said Frostbot inside Frostbites head 'But there was an unsettling feel to the dark matter. Even now it feels like a form of 'negative' energy which is extremely harmful to living beings. In short the best analogy I can offer is that it feels parasitic. I would recommend staying in dispersed form and to warn the others away from touching it...'
The hand swept about. Clearly whoever was inside could see Frostbite, but actually touching him was quite another matter...
==========
Centurion furrowed his brow inside his helmet
The gadget that this place required in order to keep the evil superhumans in their cells was future tech, beyond anything he could imagine. So why then did he feel confident that he could cook something up to get the job done? Another facet of his amazing power, no doubt!
With that in mind he turned to a smashed computer system in the corner and summoned metal from twisted pipes and mangled air conditioning ducts...
It blurred and morphed in his hands...
OOC Not sure on how many HP Ross is using on the Fabricate check but five points were mentioned. Will assume 4 on Acting 1 on Effect. The gadget will have the power of Neutralize with 17APs of power and a Body of 16APs. It also has an Area Effect of 5APs (the same as each of the original neutralize emitters). Roll 4+4 (Double) plus 3+5 (8) = 16 total. 12RAPs mean the device has a Reliability number of zero (which means no chance of breaking down and it runs from its own internal power supply so doesn't need plugging into the mains...) and lasts for 4 hours before breaking into a bunch of random metal pieces.
The biggest disadvantage is that it's an Area Effect so when you use it the device will attack EVERY superhuman within range, knocking off a power at a time. It's also not as powerful as the big field generator that Lionheart saw Minotaur grab a handful of and trash. But it works, and will help in shutting down the lesser superhumans who are currently getting their powers back, plus it might get a 'lucky' roll against the more powerful inmates.

OOC: Assuming this has worked has the negative ball of energy dissipated, disrupted or done anything other than hang where it is?
1. If we assume not then I am going to suggest we make a hole in the all some way down from the creature and come through that.
a. If the creature tries to stop us then we can put the machine closer, if that still has no effect I suggest we go around it taking a longer route if necessary.
b. Alternatively we just get Centurion to make more of these so the creature is surrounded and can't get out easily.
2. If we assume the creature is contained then I think it might be a good idea to build another one of these so it can have this one specifically beside it and we go on with the second model to chase down bad guys.
3. Centurion better save something in reserve so that he can then fix what is wrong with the old machine or make it even better so that we can stop chasing our tails and get things here under control asap.

Re: The NEW Vangurd! Issue #3 - New Team, old problems - Lionheart/Frostbite/Silver Sentinel/Wandafar (for now - see text)
OOC So you're planning to use the device immediately? So long as you guys know that this thing WILL knock out a whole bunch of your powers if there are any high rolls. Understand the need to remove the Darkforce type effect and reveal whomever is inside though. Just didn't want to put it into effect without hearing from Ross in case he has any other ideas on how to use it. If he's ok it's just a case of pressing the red button on the device and getting the dice out...

OOC: Ok there has been a slight misunderstanding. When I suggested that Ross' character build a new nullifier it was with the proviso that it would be able to eliminate our specific genetic code from its effect. You'll see my response including this caveat further up this page. If it now turns out that what Centurion doesn't allow for that then I am wondering if it seems worthwhile to build apart from a last ditch attempt that would largely nullify us and put us all on the same normal level.
If its the case that the nullifier cannot eliminate our dna and so isn't selective, then we might as well just go with plan 2 and find another way around this creature. That is what Frostbite is suggesting in any case. Sorry for the confusion, I assumed the nullifier had taken account of our unique DNA and we were not including in its effects.

Re: The NEW Vangurd! Issue #3 - New Team, old problems - Lionheart/Frostbite/Silver Sentinel/Wandafar (for now - see text)
OOC Ah I see it now. That would make the nullifier harder to manufacture BUT you guys are still wearing the anti-nullifier bracelets handed out to you on page 1 of this thread, and that adds +10 Drain resistance. All I meant by my previous post was to see if you guys were aware of the risk, however small, that the nullifier would work on you. Knowing your luck with Dice Dave, I'd say that 'small chance' is actually 'dead cert' Only joking. I think it's take a roll in the teens to drain you, but it's still a sizeable chance.
With regards keeping everyone protected, that's pretty easy - another doohickey from Centurion, this time granting 'Drain Resistance' to use instead of the bracelet you wear. Chances are Centurion can (with a wave of his hand) conjure up a bracelet each (takes 3 rounds, or total 12 seconds for a bracelet each) knock out something more powerful than the one you are using.
In the interests of keeping things moving (and seeing as it's 01.00 and I need to hit the sack) Centurion grabs up a shattered computer and waves a hand over it...
Roll for Lionhearts Drain Resistance bracelet: Body 13 Drain Resistance 14... 5+6 (11) 3RAPs (it will last for 30 seconds and has a reliability number of 9)
Centurions bracelet (body 14, Drain resistance 15) Roll 1+6 (70 Failed. It conjures up... a pile of broken bits (he still has his Drain Resist 10 bracelet)
Frostbites bracelet 9+2, lasts for 30 seconds again, with a reliability number of 9
Not great, but Lionheart and Frostbite have Drain Resistance of 14 (instead of 10) and both pass their reliability rolls (with a 14 and 11 rolled).
Only thing about isolating the specific DNA of the three characters is that Centurion is a guy from the 1940s - he wouldn't even know what Deoxyribonucleic acid was unless he was a scientist That said I did have a look for what it would cost to add area effect with a 'selective' option so you could choose who to affect (or not to affect) in the area but couldn't find one. Maybe Ryan (Dunecat) can suggest a cost, and I'll handle it in the same way I did with Sorcery (in that the APs of the power plus the extra cost of the bonuses would give you less bang for buck - no free rides despite what it does or doesn't say in the rules!) I realize that's all 'crunchy stuff' but with a power as wide ranging as Fabricate (make ANYTHING) or Sorcery (cast ANY spell) there have to be some limits, in my opinion, otherwise everyone else might as well watch from the sidelines...

OOC: "Fair enough, I appreciate we don't want to just hand wave everything, but equally in the interests of not spending weeks just posting how to get past a black blob without being drained, and not coming up with a dohicky that leaves us equally drained.
I thought this might be one hand wave worth having.
As regards DNA, well Centurion doesn't know how any of his powers makes superior technology, I imagine its like Green Lantern not needing to know how a gun works to still make a powerful one.
However I wasn't trying to short cut an obvious challenge, I just read the implied and obvious warnings the blob presented, and wanted to get past this obstacle asap. You know how I like to keep things going, Paul "

Re: The NEW Vangurd! Issue #3 - New Team, old problems - Lionheart/Frostbite/Silver Sentinel/Wandafar (for now - see text)
OOC: Fair point guys, I do keep wondering how far sentinels power goes like the green lantern reference and you are quite right steve wouldnt know about DNA but he was hoping obviously they werent efferted. Seeing as he doesn't know how the original device works and how it pin points who has powers and who doesnt I think the bracelets would be the best bet for his level of understanding. .....even if the rolls are shocking.
On a different note does it appear that the creature from the black lagoon is also attacking the prisoners because I cant help thinking 'the enemy of my enemy'? Or do you guys think we will just be 'feeding' it and sending prisoners to their graves is a bit anti heroic and dark?
Also can I remind you although Steve can create technology he doesnt truly understand it and he would prefer to blow stuff up......so lets make and I quote from col Jack O'Neil from stargate 'a big ass gun'.

OOC Kids are (finally!) back at school tomorrow so things should start to get back on track. It's been excruciating. Watch kids all day, work all night. Nnngh.
Anyway, back at it. Have at thee!
Despite the setback with his own protective amulet improvement, Centurion grinned and shrugged, then turned a dial on the long device and thrust it like a staff into the ground...
With a flash and a pulse a wave blasted out, then steadily pulsed every 4 seconds with another, and another, that vanished from sight immediately but was felt by anyone in close range with superhuman abilities!
OOC Roll 8+2 (10) vs Centurion (the closest). Would have succeeded... except for the bracelet on Centurions wrist!
Roll 10+8 (18) vs Lionheart. Lionhearts 'normal' Dex with Superspeed adding is 16, any more and it needs a check every round to see if he's fatigued. Even with the protective amulet... Lionhearts superspeed suddenly and abruptly... slows down! LIONHEARTS SUPERSPEED IS REDUCED TO 2APs.
Roll 5+2 (7) vs Frostbite. The improved 'Centurion Grade' bracelet does its job.
Roll 9+8 (17) vs the inmates of this place is they are in range...
Quite suddenly the inky black wall vanishes!
Inside a man with straggly white hair in prison overalls holds a skeleton by its throat.
The skeleton wears the uniform of a prison guard. Around the man are scattered bones of both inmates and other guards...
The fellow looks up, then around him. "What the &^*&$*(& *^&?" he splutters, in a north eastern (Geordie) accent.
With a quick glance it seems there at least a dozen or so bodies - or remains of bodies - scattered around this room, which had been one of several cafeterias...
Suddenly the man seems to change, eyes widening and turning blood red, fangs erupting from his gums, arms and chest swelling, and his mouth opens to snarl "No matter... I drained their life to give me strength... now the BLACK DEATH shall claim yours to feed me further!"
With supernatural speed he turns and leaps at the heroes!
OOC Initiative... 9 Good guys, 3 Black Death. He's quick, but the good roll means you guys (just) go first. Centurion if you want to cook up your 'BFG' (large gun) it will cost you your dice action (attack) this round. Update tomorrow depending on when you can get your actions in.
Just state:
1) Whether you intend to attack, and with what ability/power
2) whether you wish to move
3) any other skills/abilities/actions you want to attempt?

OOC: "Good to hear that thing are getting back to normal. This is an intense time, but it passes so make the most of it and don't sweat it. Its been busy for us also with family and stuff "
Frostbite was about to congratulate Centurion on his effective use of power, when the creature took all chance of saying anything from him.
Lionheart was equally about to move but noted the absence of his speed, but that didn't leave him sitting back ideally. Knowing that the creature before them was of super natural origin he reckoned that like Frostbite's dispersal power this creature might have some resistance to physical attacks, so that meant switching up mental.
With a shift in his powers, away from super speed, to force field and mind, he focused his powers to Mind blast the creature back to where it came form.
OOC: "So using power reserve I will add 6 AP to the Mind blast 3 on attack and 3 on effect."
Meanwhile Frostbite also drew a similar conclusion wondering if his physical powers would have the desired effect on the creature. Clearly it was something still dangerous if Centurion's power nullifier wasn't having any effect, could he? "Still, nothing ventured..."
He said as his voice trailed off as he focused his energy blast to time perfectly with Lionheart's mental attack.
OOC: "So full on energy blast to the creature, right between the eyes and lets see what comes of this. Lets also assume both heroes use HP to push the attack from failure to success if they don't get there by dice alone."
