The Russian snarled. "You are fast. Bow down to me and you can serve at my side!" he roared "Or die with these fools."

Someone stepped to the side and blasted past the russian...

Well, that went south rather quickly, Lionheart thought as he shifted about, looking over his shoulder he shouted at Possessor, "Don't panic Possessor go for another contact. But don't be a sitting duck!"

And with that Lionheart went for the head honcho, concentrating as best he could in the midst of a battle that was going to overspill in all directions. If those were working for Advent, with the promise of freedom and who knew what else they'd have no qualms about killing him or his allies to get to their goal. They didn't have that luxury.

But that didn't mean Lionheart had to wait and take his licks sitting down either. With his mind focused on this enemy he let loose the golden lion the manifestation of his Psi powers in their raw form.

OOC: So going for that devastating attack with the dice bye and see if I can't take this fella down a notch or two.

OOC Is that a Mind Blast you're describing or Martial Arts Attack Dave? With regards dice you can use a total of 5 dice for attack or defence or split in between as you see fit. I *assume* it's the same as last time with a 3D M Arts/2D Acrobatics (to dodge) split and devastating attack.

This time the blast went wild and smashed through the machines in the med bay, obliterating them!

Mindshark cried out, hands over his head as energy washed over him, testing the edges of his protective force field! "Arrrggh!" he cried. "If we stay in this room, and he keeps missing... he's BOUND to hit one of us! My force field can't repel firepower of that magnitude!"

Miss Victory tried getting around the Russian boss, but he was too fast, even for her! "You, woman... you seem... I wonder what is behind that mask you wear?" said Red Son as he weaved and dodges, his body a blur too fast for the others to follow!

"Lionheart! You need to get him out of the way and we need to get into the corridor!" shouted Lupus. "So we can ALL get in the fight!"

Possessor said "Let's see if the Russian can resist ME!"

Miss V was stymied somewhat with Lionheart standing in the doorway. Luckily with Red Son directly on the other side he was pretty much blocking the path for the prisoners in the corridor who were standing back - the power of these blasts was such that a stray blast would flatten whoever it struck!

Obsidian and Lupus stood helpless. "What can we do?" asked Obsidian to Miss Victory. "Lionheart is holding his own for now... but this guy is so fast I can barely see him nevermind attack! And if I miss... I might hit the good guy!"

OOC There's the rub. From now ALL missed attacks will roll to hit on someone else! Someone who gets too close, gets in the way, is in the path of the blast/blow when the defender dodges etc... Miss Victory can still act if she likes but there's no clear attack path on Red Son - a miss will roll to strike against Lionheart! Lionheart saw Mindshark fail with his mental powers and though he'd not faced the villain in one on one combat he knew that the Prisoner had a far more powerful blast than even Lionhearts own...

Perhaps that was something to consider with regards training and if he were able to divert his psionic energy into his Mind Blast...? Now THAT would pack a punch!

Strange how he thought about stuff like that ... but as one of the worlds fastest beings he seemed to have time on his hands, even against a speedster like Red Son!

A torrent of water fills the room and it fills up in a heartbeat with thousands of gallons of water! Lupus, Obsidian, Possessor and Mindshark are in trouble instantly as the room fills up with water to the ceiling and the pressure of more water coming in makes it fill like a fish tank! Lionheart is fine as he could survive for the better part of six hours even in space or at the bottom of the ocean...

Tidal suddenly cuts his power off and there is a torrent of water that spills out into the corridor and brings with it medical supplies from the room as well as Lupus, Obsidian and Possessor in a tangled mess of arms and legs!

Drenched wet through Lionheart sees Mindshark clinging to the gurney and looking half drowned whilst the others are in a heap in the corridor near Miss Victory who is surrounded by two dozen Prisoners! This wasn't going well!

OOC I'll probably be AWOL for the weekend or most of it so expect updates on Monday guys...

Lionheart shouted that the others make the most of the closed-in quarters whilst he again sought to take down Red Son if he could focus on him, he dare not ignore him, he might have a shot at taking out the High Tide villain who nearly drowned his team and their chances of victory.

OOC: I asked before if there was any way to stack an attack against Red Son, have one of the others, double team, with me to make it easier to hit, if so since Mindshark is still here, to have him attack Red Son Mentally or some other way, whilst I attacked physically, high and low type of thing, might break this deadlock?

ooc: Now that we are out of the doorway and can move a bit in the heallway, Miss Victory can try to do a team attack with Lionheart. Maybe one other for a total of 3 of us could attack him that way? If so, let's do that. If not ... guess everyone attacks whoever is close to them solo.

Miss Victory will keep martial arts for attack and acrobatics for defense. If Lionheart doesn't want to hold until we can attack together then she will attack someone else, other than the water guy and Red Son.

Also you could go all out on attack and use all your dice on attack leaving none for defence, thus making it more likely you'll hit Red Son... also more likely you'll get whacked.). Same for Miss Victory - she can increase hit chances by sacrificing defence. Your call. I'll update today when you guys confirm how you're attacking. Despite Mind Blast being potent Lionheart has a far better hit chance with Superspeed and Martial Arts as he gets a pile of free dice...

Lionheart goes first unless you want to wait for team attack again.

Red Son is going to use his action to get the heck out of dodge and race off at superspeed 20! After that everyone else can act. by now its a big cloud with fists and feet poking out of the sides and energy blasts zapping all over the place. Can't believe Lionheart pretty much ignored all those attacks... The rolls can't hold out forever though... You're up.

Right all in on the attack, actually I am not going to absorb the damage, I'll hold onto the points I might need them later. As for Red Son, going to finish him, if possible and then pull Lupus off the prisoner and try and get him under control before he gets worse and more uncontrollable. Now I can see why he ended up in here. Actually I'll get Possessor to sort him out.

Lionheart doesn't wait and attacks Red Son, if he is still there and up, she will try again to attack him.  If he got away or is down she will attack one of the Russians who have mental powers. Stupid stunned Red Son getting a chance to run away!

Lionheart didn't hold back and launched in on Red Son, who like a Boxer concentrated purely on defence, ducking, weaving and blocking whilst he tried to clear his head!

Under a hail of hammerlike blows Red Son reels then gets caught half a dozen times with ultra fast uppercuts!

He slams against the wall and is unconscious before he hits the ground!

Miss Victory leaps on a Russian and is about to launch an attack but the man has lost all fight "No wait!" he wails in Russian. "Yield! I yield!" The others backed off and were already clearing a space around Lupus who was covered in blood and savage!

Possessor tried to control the youngster...

Possessor vanishes and leaps into Lupus' body. Immediately she cries out aghast at the blood all over his/her body and moves to the medical bay.

Mindshark calls out "I see many of you and you followed me until Red Son's attack recently. I will forgive your sins, but first you must lock Red Son away and ensure he cannot escape. His compatriots will also be held captive and watched." Then he turned to Lionheart and Miss Victory. "You have aided me greatly and I thank you, but I am in charge here..." though his eyes were more along the lines of 'please don't undermine me in front of my guys so I can get them back in line'...

The sheepish Prisoners sorted out the Russians - half a dozen of them - and scooped up the limp form of Red Son.

OOC the fight is over. Red Son may well regenerate though (he does, and fast) so bear that in mind.

Miss Victory grabs the prisoner that had been savaged and checks to make sure he is still alive. If so, she heads to the other medbed and gets him hooked up for treatment. She will leave the gabbing to Lionheart.

Nodding to Mindshark, Lionheart picked up Red Son and took him to a cell dumping him in and making sure the door was locked and bound good and proper. He had just won the fight of his life, and he had not done it alone. He could already feel strength returning to him, but he did not want to fight Red Son a second time, not in this millennium anyway. He thought to himself, before racing back to the others.

With the trash cleared away, he looked for Lupus and Possessor to see how they were doing. He wondered if the boy had realised how bad he could be? Then he took the opportunity to properly introduce himself to the others including Miss V, and to see how they might yet get to the control room and stop this mess getting any further out of control.

Lionheart said, "So do we have a plan or are we making this up as we go along?"

Mindshark had already started handing orders out. "Get the cafe up and running, tidy the place up and make sure everybody knows that I am back in charge."

The cowed prisoners were grateful that Mindshark was not - so far - vengeful for his humiliation and removal from authority, and that their fickle side switching ways would not be punished.

The villain watched some of them go and narrowed his eyes. They would pay, each of them, in their own way. Then he turned to Lionheart. "I cannot lock the doors even with telekinesis. This place... " he waves his arms about "nullifies anything that tries to interact with the walls, floors and doors. I may have no choice but to lobotomise Red Son. His compatriots will no doubt make trouble and try to break him free. They too, shall need attending to."

"I will need you about to keep Red Son down if he manages to resist my mental abilities." Mindshark said, then considered Lionheart. "I have no idea who you are but I am glad I do not have you for an enemy. The woman I know, but she too is formidable and I thank you all for your contribution. You will bring peace to level 4 and we can start a dialogue with ..." he stopped then pushed the door open to Red Son's cell.

He'd been out for about 15 seconds. Lionheart looked too. He could hear the heartbeat getting stronger and knew ...

Red Son was waking up!

Miss Victory settled the prisoner onto the gurney and activated the medical bay. The Prisoner was dying but she'd acted quickly and doors hissed over the prone form whilst small electrical arms set to work performing surgery.

He would live, but an injury like the boy had inflicted would take a while to recover from.

Lupus/Possessor stood to attention nearby. "I think he's calming down. I'm staying away from the mirror so I don't freak him... or me... out."

Miss Victory heard the conversation outside between Mindshark and Lionheart.
