Jade Hood and Stone Fist Issue #4 Imperilled in India!
He moved through the corridors of the hospital, quietly checking each room he came across. Quiet, quick, efficient, he had little trouble posing as an orderly.
=========
"Henry? Did you hear me? I said the Museum have fired me! Our tickets have been cancelled and we have hardly any money left!" wailed Mary
Mary Jameson counted the remaining money in his purse, as if that would somehow increase from the last three times it'd been counted. For his part, Henry Block, Stone Fist, relaxed on the veranda of the hotel room and looked out across the teeming mass of Cairo. He poured himself another drink and glanced at the clock on the wall, figuring it was time to go see his friend, Chen Lu Han.
Jade Hood.
Besides that, it would get him out of here for a few hours. Waiting for the American consulate to ship them back to America on a boat seemed to be taking an interminable amount of time, doubtless not helped by their cover story of being on an archaeological dig. That had been blown - somewhat - when Mary Jameson, a museum administrator, had been fired after using Museum funds to get them to Cairo. She could hardly explain that it'd been to stop a Nazi plot, and that the men whom she travelled with were the masked vigilantes that had captured the imagination of the press back home...
As she broke into another wailing tirade he sighed, left the half finished drink and settled his fedora in place, walking out of the room and the hotel, into the streets and towards the hospital...
==========
He awoke from a dream...
It had been disturbing. He'd been back in the temple and creeping through the darkness, expecting to be ambushed at any moment. Then something had looped over his neck from behind, and he was being strangled... which is when Jade Hood woke...
There was little light in the hospital room. The other beds with patients were occupied, most were sleeping. Jade Hood shrugged, just a dream. So why had the Doctor entered at the far end of the ward? Weren't his rounds done in the morning? Jade Hood wished he had his weapons to hand, but they'd been secreted away by Stone Fist so as not to be discovered by Egyptian police. Maybe he was just a doctor... so why did every sense scream and tell him otherwise?
=========
When Stone Fist turned the corner of the busy street, he was aware that he was being followed...
A quick glance behind... two men, clad in desert robes and hoods. 50 feet behind, but moving adeptly through the still crowded streets.
Stone Fist wasn't unduly worried. He could take... two more. Waiting casually - too casually - at the top of the street which turned onto the road where the hospital was. A crowded street, surely they'd not try anything...?
OOC have run out of time but I wanted to explain about Hero Points - you spend them to increase your chances of success when rolling dice, by increasing Acting value (like Dex, when throwing a punch, or Int, when figuring out a problem) Effect value (like strength when punching someone) Opposing value (Dex when trying to avoid an attack) or Resistance Value (Body when trying to resist an attack). Will go into more detail and offer hints with every post. Otherwise, welcome to issue #4...

Jade Hood was content to wait about and find out. Slowly he rolled over in the bed out the side and then plumps up the bed trying to make it look, at least superficially, as if he was still within. Then he crept back looking for a place to hide and observe what the Doctor was up to.
OOC:Ok so try and sneak out of bed, hide to one side where I can observe what happens when the good doctor finds I am not there.
Couple of questions, clearly before I had a broken arm, how does that leave me now? Second how many Hero points have we got, and what do we typically get back - so I have some idea of what the pro/con of spending them is?

Henry Block decided to find out who was following him. So he looked for a convinient alleyway or dead end where he could question them without worrying too much about the folks around him. Even a flight of stairs to a flat empty roof would do.

Re: Jade Hood and Stone Fist Issue #4 Imperilled in India!
OOC ok quick summary of Hero Point mechanics. Whenever you attempt a DICE action (i.e. one that has a chance of failure) you can spend hero points to increase your chances of success by increasing your acting value, or perhaps increase your opposing value (to make it harder for someone to succeed), your effect value (putting extra effort into walloping someone) or resistance value as you try to roll with or dodge the blow. So, that's ACTING, EFFECT, OPPOSING and RESISTANCE values you can increase by spending HERO POINTS. You can also spend Hero Points to reduce damage that you take through LAST DITCH DEFENCE (up to your characters Body score, so Jade Hood could spend up to 6 Hero points on last ditch defence and reduce damage).
Finally you can spend hero points to 'buy' an emergency recovery roll. Normally you get one per hour, but you can bring that forward (still get one per hour, just sooner) by paying 15 points.
example:
Jade Hood has Thief 7. If he's sneaking about, someone will use their Intelligence as the ACTING value and Will as the EFFECT value to spot Jade Hood, who uses Thief: 7 as Opposing and Resistance value. Dave can increase Opposing and/or resistance values up to 7 points (of each) by spending hero points, so could have an Opposing value of 14 and Resistance value of 14 if he so wished (and had the points). For reference an ordinary person would have Intelligence of 2 and Will of 2. Trying to spot Jade Hood with Thief 7 is very very hard for such a person. Trying to spot Jade Hood having spent hero points as above (with OV/RV 14) would require a roll (off the top of my head) of 28 or more on 2D10. So a double required, and a good one at that.
Finally Hero Points can be spent to improve your character, and therein lies the dilemma. Do you spend Hero Points to help you succeed, or save them to improve your character? If you're lucky with the dice (so, not Dave E then...) you might get through the adventure without spending any hero points at all, and then you're laughing. Chances are you'll have to spend some, but that's your call...
Both characters (Jade Hood and Stone Fist) get a 'float' of 30 Hero Points that will be taken from any award they get at the end of the adventure. At the end of every issue (let's say an adventure has 4 issues) you get a certain amount of hero points. By the end of the adventure, you get a bonus number based on how well you did, so even if you spend them all, chances are you'll get them sooner rather than later. Unlike Effort points with my house ruled version, they don't regenerate. You have to earn them, and when spent, they are gone, so you need to earn some more...

Re: Jade Hood and Stone Fist Issue #4 Imperilled in India!
Jade Hood slipped from the bed... and noticed for the first time that his arm, whilst stiff and sore, was no longer broken! What in the ...? He'd been in hospital but a day, and woken to find himself being tended by a nurse before dozing off. Now this... He glanced about. Nothing but beds, and the room wasn't completely dark - coupled with Chen Lu wearing a white smock... He would have to hope this 'Doctor' wasn't expecting to go looking for the patient...
OOC Thief: 7 is the OV/RV for the Doctors Perception check. Because the area is reasonably well lit (i.e. not dark) there is a -1 column modifier dropping his Thief (effectively) to 5-6. This guy has Int: 3 and Will: 3. Roll 2d10 → [3,2] = (5). Target number was 13 (and even then it required a 15 or more to actually see him because the guys Will was lower than Jade Hoods Thief skill)
Jade Hood peered from under an adjacent bed as the man glanced about, then pulled a syringe from his inner pocket, glanced about again and reached for the covers. He was about to discover that Chen Lu Han wasn't in bed...
OOC Jade Hood makes a Perception check 2d10 → [9,9] = (18) (Double) plus 2d10 → [8,5] = (13). 31 Total! Sharp eye would have helped, but the roll more than gives Jade Hood what he wants to know...
Looking at the man, Jade Hood noticed he was wearing some kind of wrapping around his feet - presumably to make his footsteps silent. In addition when the man had opened his coat Jade Hood had caught glimpse of a dark red sash about the man's waist. It'd been hastily tucked in and was almost out of sight. In addition Jade Hood noted the mans skin slightly darker on the lower part of his forehead. The line was straight with a slight downturned V in the middle. A hat? No. This man would normally wear a turban, and the V was wear the bands met. His features suggested he wasn't a native of Egypt either...
OOC That's quite a few clues from just a glance! This guy is about to discover Jade Hood isn't in bed... over to you...

OOC:
Thanks for the update on hero points, it does make it seem fairer spending them now even though doing so means less reward later on, still good actions can be rewarded so you don't just reward someone for being cautious and penalise someone for being heroic. Got it.
Jade Hood used the momentary distraction of his absence, together with the curtain that hung around as a makeshift weapon to try and tie up the man's arm and stop him using his syringe on Chen. His hope was either to take the man out or even use the Syringe on him. Presumably he was to be taken or even executed for his meddling? But Chen had no wish to encourage that, but dearly would love the opportunity to question this man.
OOC:
Ok so try to use the curtain either as a glove so that I can deflect the needle from piercing me, or and as a sort of whip, to wrap around the mans' arm so as to for it away from me. Then pop him one or get him to use the needle on himself with all expediency. Use hero points as needed, but I am not trying to kill only make him unconscious to question.

Re: Jade Hood and Stone Fist Issue #4 Imperilled in India!
OOC Apologies for the delay David - shifts and sleep patterns all over the place this week means posting is too.
Stone Fist took a look around the crowded and narrow streets. The gaps between buildings offered opportunities to duck off the main street and funnel the pursuers to where Stone Fist needed them. A glance down one revealed it to be a dead end. Another split into dozens of small alleyways. Most were lined with trash, empty crates or people staying out of the way of the main street and waiting for darkness, doubtless to go about whatever shady business they used to make a living.
OOC Check to see if Stone Fist can get the pursuers where he wants them. SF's Int (3) vs the Goons Int (3). Roll 2d10 → [2,8] = (10)
Stone Fist ducked down an alley, jogged for a dozen metres, turned a corner and waited in the shadows.
Shortly after, two of the pursuers turned up, looking through the darkness for him. Of the other two there were no sign. The two were armed, with pistols out and ready. One also held a machete, the other had a whip hung on his belt. There was clearly no attempt to hide the weapons once the men had gotten off the main street. Though it was too dark to make out details Stone Fist had the idea that they weren't natives of the city.
OOC Hide or fight? If fighting, 2d10 → [6,2] Stone Fist gets 20 initiative, these guys get 13. There's a gap of 20 feet between Stone Fist and his prey, but in a round you can make one dice action (for example, to attack) and two automatic actions (one of which can be to move. The other could be used to say something, pick something up, use an automatic power or skill etc).

"Hello gentlemen," he calls out. "No need for violence here. Mind tellng me why you are following a down on his luck American around? And with weapons in hand?"
actions: Talk first, fight later if need to.

Re: Jade Hood and Stone Fist Issue #4 Imperilled in India!
Jade Hood
Grabbing up a sheet, the martial artist wrapped it in one fluid motion around his forearm! The potential assassin started, somewhat surprised that his intended target wasn't in the bed!
Then Jade Hood lashed out, his foot suddenly at the mans head height!
OOC Personally, I'd not bother with Hero Points until you know you need them. That's tricky, but I will help by stating 'This is a critical task' and you can let me know how many points you want to spend on ACTING value (which is kind of like your aim for whatever task you attempt) and EFFECT value (which is kind of how hard you punch, or attempt whatever it is you are attempting). Jade Hood has Martial Artist 7 as Effect value and Dex 7 as acting value. The opponent has... less. Roll 5,6 (11). That's 1 column shift (basically in this case it adds a point of damage). The bad guy takes 5 damage, absorbs 3 with hero points (leaving him with 7 left) and is Stunned so cannot attack this round. Jade Hood wins initiative (roll 8 + 19 Initiative, bad guy got 4 plus 11) and punches again. Roll 10,10 (20, double!), 8,2. Total roll 30! That's 7 (!) column shifts meaning Jade Hood would do 12 damage. He's not trying to kill the guy though, so does just a point of damage, sends the bad guy flying across the room to crash against a bed and into a heap, and this fight is over!
Moving over to the man, he carefully checked his pulse. He was alive, but would be out for hours! Good enough!
OOC Roll 10,4 for Danger Sense...
Jade Hood frowned. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up, and he looked about. Some of the patients had stirred, but most were badly injured and drugged up. No, this was something else.
Suddenly the shimmering form of a man - the scientist from Baron Bloots base - appeared by Jade Hoods bed, from thin air! He looked about, adjusting his glasses, then over at the lithe figure stood over the fallen assassin!
"Oh!" he exclaimed. "There you are!" and he smiled.

Re: Jade Hood and Stone Fist Issue #4 Imperilled in India!
Stone Fist
OOC Oops. Didn't have character sheet to hand. Of course he can see (up to 200 yards in darkness).
One of the men spread out, moving to Stone Fists left. The other stood his ground. He pulled out a syringe, and spoke in accented English. "We just want a sample of your blood. If you are alive or dead makes no difference to us."
Almost as an afterthought, he added "We have the woman who is like you. If you wish her to live, cooperate!"
Stone Fists mind reeled. Now what? Had Mary been taken again or... like you? Did they mean Lara Lamont? He didn't know these guys from adam but it was clear they knew quite a bit about Baron Bloots' setup, Lara's transformation into a fiery being, and possibly even Stone Fists own abilities? How much did they know? Could they explain just what his abilities were and their extent? Did Baron Bloot survive?
"This is not a negotiation!" said the man to Stone Fists' left and raised the gun to point at the heroes' face! Behind Stone Fist, a pair of furtive figures dropped from fire escape ladders into the alley behind him!
Surrounded!

"You! What are you doing here?"
Chen's voice wasn't harsh but it was direct. As he looked at the man it suddenly occurred to him, with all his super science maybe he had been responsible for his quick recovery. A look at his arm, then back to the man left the question hanging in the air between them.
OOC:
Ok so talk to scientist friend, as him if he knows what has happened to the others? And then if he knows anything about Blute's men and the attacker.
Not sure what else to do, other than get dressed, gather up my belongings and check out. I think that my being here had gotten out to widely so best to go whilst the going is good and find Stone Fist.

"You know," Block says laconically, "some people might think that I'm surrounded. Now me, I'm a positive person so I think differently. So what I see is a target rich environment where I have no one to worry about whereas you have to worry about getting in each other's way."
"So what woman like me are you talking about," he continues, rolling his neck and preparing to fight if he has to. I just happen to know lots of women like me, so I'm not sure which one you are talking about. And lots of women like me in general too."
"And by the way, I don't really worry about you and your gun. Bullets are only a fraction of an inch in size and can miss completely by the smallest of margins. Now that guy with the machette? He worries me! Lots easier for him to hit me and hurt me than your small silly little gun."
ooc: ok, that part is pure bluff but since he is almost bullet-proof, he figures he is machette-proof too.

Re: Jade Hood and Stone Fist Issue #4 Imperilled in India!
Jade Hood
The Doctor comes over, glances at the assassin slumped against the wall, shrugs, and turns to Jade Hood. "Why dear, boy, I am the reason you are up on your feet! Do you not feel... better?" he smiles. "I injected you with a bone knitting hormone. It will have worn off by now, but I expect that arm will be as good as ever!"
Jade Hood flexed his arm. For something that was badly broken - shattered even - it was remarkably flexible and only a little stuff, not a searing sea of agony dotted with the occasional island of lesser, but still excruciating, pain.
"Wait... injected?" asked Jade Hood.
"Yes!" replied the Doctor. "I think I've perfected one part of the serum! It was a question of dosage! There may be... side effects." he added, frowning. "But that depends on the recipient, their Deoxyribonucleic acid concentration when catalyzed by the serum and ..." he held up his hands and took a step back at Jade Hoods angry look. "I had to! I need your help! So does the woman! They..." he pointed to the man slumped in the corner. "Took her! They are a vicious cult of Thuggee assassins who through various means, including mysticism I suspect, know of the serum and its properties! They must have had a hand in retrieving it for Baron Bloot, and with his downfall seek to finish the work he started! We must stop them!"
Jade Hood frowned again. The Thuggee were a sect, a cult of assassins and Kali worshippers who operated out of India. There were rumours at Jade Hoods own clan that they had declared war on the mystic clans, including Jade Hoods own. He had no idea why, then, but did now! And... they'd taken Lara Lamont? He groaned. She'd gotten the rough end of the stick and despite having superhuman powers now, would be used by various factions to recreate her dangerous powers, even use her as a weapon!
Jade Hood turned. The window. He didn't know how, but in the next few moments several of these... Thuggee... would be climbing up to it, intent on murder!
OOC A roll of 17 with Danger Sense is how, but Jade Hood doesn't know that...

Looking from the window to the doctor Jade Hood, pushed back the questions he wanted to answer. No point now, if they were going to be interrupted and somehow he knew for certain that was going to be the case, imminently.
"Ok Doc, this guy didn't come alone, his friends are about to try and surprise us, but I think I can hold them off. However we may need a way out and I'd like to take this one..." Jade Hood pointed to the unconcious assassin on the floor, "With us for questioning. Not that I expect we'd get much."
With that Jade Hood looked down from the window, being careful to conceal himself, before casting an eye about for a means to dislodge the assassins climbing up toward him.
OOC:
1. Ok make sure I get an idea of where and how many are climbing up.
2. Grab stuff that I can use either to attack them with or throw down on them to dislodge them from the wall.
3. I plan only to buy us some time so the Doc can either get us out, or we can figure a way by which we can slip out unnoticed.

Stone Fist
OOC Wasn't sure if you were attempting to persuade or intimidate with your bluff attempt, so will go for intimidate. Roll 4,6 (10). Falls short unfortunately...
The Assassins seemed to pull their pistols up as one and aim at Stone Fist! Somehow he knew his attempt to influence these men had failed ...
OOC Initiative 5 Hero, 7 bad guys... add initiative and Stone Fist gets 19, bad guys get... 18. You go first. No one is immediately in punching range, BUT you can move and clobber one, two or three guys (the other is out of range) as you wish. You have 33HP to spend, but it's up to you if you want to use any. Attacking one guy is easiest, and more=harder. Your call.

OOC: Actually not trying to do either, just trying to get them to talk but Henry isn't the best conversationalist in the world.
actions: leap to nearest guy and punch him, no HP to spend.
I think this is a somewhat easy fight, though I might take damage from a good pistol shot.

Jade Hood and the Doctor in the Hospital (Cairo)
The Doctor glanced about. "More of them? And you want to take him along?" he groaned, then took a pouch from his belt off, adjusting it.
"Alright. The batteries won't last long though..."
"Batteries?" questioned Jade Hood. He risked a glance out of the window. Nothing down. Strange. Some sixth sense told him to look up, and he saw half a dozen dark forms rappelling down the wall on ropes!
He turned, looking for something to throw, use as a weapon...
The Doctor stepped up, pouch on his belt again. He was grinning "I'm not carrying him." he said with a thumb over his shoulder.
==========
"How is this possible?" whispered Jade Hood.
He then remembered about the invisibility effect the Doctor had been able to use before and raised a hand to his face. he could see himself fine, and the Doctor with the slumped assassin at his feet.
The Doctor managed a smile, but sweat rolled down his face. Clearly, he was nervous. "The batteries..." he muttered.
Assassins clad in dark red, almost black, stalked through the room. They ignored the other patients. Some were awake and sat terrified as the men stalked through the room. Jade Hood recognised the stance, the way they held knives. Some held strangling cords, but they were left disappointed.
Their target had left, and their comrade was nowhere to be seen. Still, they seemed to sense something was amiss. The men were all dark skinned, turbans on their heads, faces set, grim, dark and intent on murder.
One of them spoke out in a language Jade Hood didn't understand, and the others followed, out the window and into the night air.
After a few moments Jade Hood moved out of the field to the window. He became visible, but confirmed what he'd hoped - the assassins were gone.
"They are after the formula Bloot had almost figured out. They want it, so they can become a power in this world. I... I fear I have opened Pandora's box. I want you... I want you to help me close it." he stuttered, smiling nervously.

Re: Jade Hood and Stone Fist Issue #4 Imperilled in India!
Stone Fist vs four Thuggee Assassins in the alleyways of Cairo!
Stone Fist took a short hop to land in front of one of the Thuggee killers, then launched an uppercut at the man!
OOC Straight contest between Stone Fists' Dex (5) vs the Assassins' Dex (3). 2d10 → [1,6] = (7) Eeeewww. And it's a miss.
The Assassin pulled a dagger out, jamming it at Stone Fist!
OOC Weaponry 4 vs Dex 5. 2d10 → [3,2] = (5) Eeeewww. I see a theme here.
Stone Fist leapt aside from the dagger, his natural instincts overriding any sense of bravado in standing there and letting the man break a dagger on his head. A shot too close to an eye would have unforeseen effects. Sure, Stone Fist knew his skin was nigh unbreakable, but his eyes, ears?
Another Assassin moved up behind. Stone Fist turned... BANG!
OOC Shot, weaponry 4 vs Dex 5. 2d10 → [4,10] = (14) And there's a hit. Effect bvalue 4 vs Resistance Value 10... ah, not quite enough somehow.
The bullet clattered onto the floor having flattened itself against Stone Fists' back! The Assassin stared in shock, whilst another moved forward, almost to point blank range, and fired again!
OOC 2d10 → [8,3] = (11) Miss
Stone Fist smiled, leaning back out of the way as the man seemingly did the impossible and fired wide of the hero!
The final Assassin hurled a knife...
OOC 2d10 → [5,3] = ( Miss again
Stone Fist was openly grinning now. He was faster than these men, he was tougher, and stronger. He'd taken a bullet at near point blank range and barely felt it! He wasn't quite sure if he was as durable before. Had he, somehow, gotten tougher? Was such a thing possible? Before, a bullet at near point blank range would have given him cause for concern! Now? He popped his knuckles and rolled his neck, grinning.
OOC The Thuggee aren't going to give in so easy, and will attack as a team. Initiative 10 Stone Fist, 2 Assassins (plus respective initiative scores of 14 and 11). Stone Fist goes first. He can attack one or more than one, but they intend to team up this round, and make it easier to hit Stone Fist. You might see cause for concern then...

"Not so easy this meddling ah Doctor?" Jade Hood grunted, before turning back to the problem at hand. "Since I no longer have a reason to remain and this place has become dangerous, I suggest we leave and try to locate my partner and then we can question him."
Jade Hood's last comment was directed at the still sleeping assassin he had slumped over his shoulder. Moving off without any further explanation, Jade Hood made his way cautiously out of the ward and down a stairwell to the outside street.
OOC:
Ok will move as discreetly as I can, given the doc is with me and I am carrying my assassin. I want to try and get out without being noticed and then try to find Stone Fist. If it turns out that he is still convenietly fighting around a corner so be it. If not I will head back to the hotel that we had intended on booking out before we took on Bloot and his men.

Re: Jade Hood and Stone Fist Issue #4 Imperilled in India!
Jade Hood, the Doctor, an unconscious assassin and the dark streets of Cairo...
It took some time to get out of the hospital - there were plenty of people milling about, be they staff or potential patients. in the end Jade Hood simply had to walk past a line of people stood waiting to be treated and ignore a shouted call behind him. The person who called out didn't pursue them, nor did anyone else seem to mind (OOC this is 1930s Egypt..)
Through the streets the strange pair went, Jade Hood grunting at the load over his shoulder. At some point he'd had his weapons taken off him - he hoped Stone Fist might know where they were.
When the Doctor frowned and placed a hand on Jade Hoods' shoulder, the kung fu expert had already guessed at what he might be disturbed at - the sounds of gunfire ringing out only a street or so away!
People were running, though seemed to be unsure of what they were running from, whilst others, sat along the side of the street, dicing, drinking, watching people walk by, just shrugged and got on with what they were doing. Somewhere a whistle rang out, which meant the police were alerted. They might ask questions of a man carrying an unconscious assassin over his shoulder. On the other hand, the gunfire might signify someone in trouble.
Jade Hood had gotten his bearings - he knew the way back to the hotel room he shared with Mary and Henry (Stone Fist), but he had to get there - in one piece - first!
This dice is not existing.
OOC used the inbuilt dice roller. It doesn't look great but it does the job. In this case...
Jade Hood didn't turn round... but he instinctively knew they were being followed!

OOC: To right that looks awful ;-)
Jade Hood turned to the Doctor, "Not only are we being followed, but I doubt that gunfire is a good thing. Lets see if we can't kill two birds one one stone." Then seeing the Doctors face, he added, "Metaphorically, I mean!"
Turning off toward the direction of the gunfire, Jade Hood began to speed up, as best he could considering he was carrying the dead weight of his assailant.
OOC:
Ok plan is to try and get to the gunfire before these guys get the drop on us, but assuming they don't go for that we go for getting the drop on them, turn a corner back up etc. Whatever suits given the situation. I won't want to walk in on a fight and then have these guys turn on us as well.

Re: Jade Hood and Stone Fist Issue #4 Imperilled in India!
Jade Hood, the Doctor and an unconscious assassin in Cairo...
"huff... huff... lead on..." said the Doctor, looking around and seeing no sign of the people Jade Hood seemed to think were following him.
Round a corner, down a street... the sights and sounds of Cairo at night were as sense filling as those of the day. People pulled faces but moved aside as the diminutive but determined martial artist moved without difficulty despite the unconscious man slung over his shoulder. A number of people had stopped what they were doing - usually hawking wares of some kind - and were looking in the direction of the sounds of the gunshots.
Jade Hood and the Doctor (some metres behind by now) rounded the corner of an alley and saw by the dim light a number of men surrounding a single lone individual. 'Should have guessed!' thought Jade Hood! It was Stone Fist - Henry Block - facing off against men with guns and knives!
OOC they are 20m away. Jade Hood isn't sure where the pursuers are, or how well they've managed to keep up... They don't seem to have noticed JH or the Doctor - yet.

OOC: Ok I will indicate to the good doctor not to make a sound as I heft the man I'm carrying carefully to the ground and use this opportunity to stealth up to them and await a good opportunity to attack - focusing on the ones carrying the guns first. Again assume liberal use of HP if need be.

actions: Stone Fist will go for a group tackle, holding his arms wide, charging and trying to get two or three of the thugs inbetween his arms and rush them against a wall.
"You guys don't talk much, do you," he said as he charged.
