Re: World War II - Putty/Anyman Issue #3
OOC As Field Manipulation manipulates Energy control of various kinds (Gravity, Magnetic, Nuclear, Fire, Cold, Cosmic etc) I suppose the nearest, nastiest thing to use would be Nuclear. The sort of thing that stops heart in an instant, causes bowls and internal organs to give way and is generally very nasty...
Ok, Anymans 12 Ego vs 12 Dark power points. 1d20+12=18 Anyman, 1d20+12=26, Dark power. And the curse of Frostbite strikes again. The dark power gets a roll of 26. You have 15hp to burn through. Let's do a group of five rolls first, see if you can beat that pesky Dark Power... 1d20+12=31 Success, 1d20+12=28, 1d20+12=24, 1d20+12=24, 1d20+12=27. Pow! And there we go.
Anyman spends 1HP dropping him to 14HP, and has 12D10 power points to use... 12d10 → [2,6,2,7,10,3,9,8,2,4,4,10] = (67). The 10s net him two free D10 to roll... 2d10 → [1,8] = (9). 76 total, quite a haul! Average of over 6 per die, which isn't bad at all.
We have a good idea about how many points were required, you exceeded that, so we'll go with...
Anyman
(14HP, 1 Dark power round)
Calmly walking towards the command tent Anyman ignored the guards in front straightening up to challenge him, and thrust out a hand. His eyes turned red, and a black energy aura formed around his hand...
The guards stood in his way literally felt their faces run like wax as they died on the spot. The tent, at the centre of the attack Anyman threw, was filled with choked cries! He threw another comparable blast and saw others around the tent grasp their throats and die, quite messily. There was a sudden cry of alarm as soldiers nearby watched those near the command tents expire!
Anyman calmly walked inside, and saw dozens of bodies - aides, radio operators, messengers, junior officers... near the back of the tent, half a dozen senior officers were lying in a mess of blood and feces on the floor, and the stink was obscene! Lying amongst them, his hair falling out of his head, Major Nazi!
He looked up, then about. The man wasn't so stupid as to not know who and what he faced!
"An... an... Anyman?" he spluttered, staggering to his feet. "Wh... what have you done? MONSTER!" he cried, a tooth falling from a loosened socket in his mouth as his skin blistered and popped painfully!
All others in, and around, the tent were dead. Anyman saw on the desk behind Major Nazi a leather satchel full of dispatches and messages. A glance around the tent showed he wouldn't be able to identify the scientist Wynn wanted even if he tried - the bodies were barely recognizable as human!
"You... you shall die for this!" croaked Major nazi. He pressed a Nazi insignia on one of his wrist bands, and a slight hissing sound was let out, with a gasp of relief from the Nazi! Even as Anyman looked on, he seemed to grow a foot in every direction, all steel hard muscle and sinew! He rotated his neck, making a theatrical popping sound as he did. "Now..." he snarled, voice more assured now. "Round two, I think?"
OOC 1d10=4 Anyman, 1d10=6 Bad Guy 1 frame to bad guy, then Anymans four (the Dark Power points have been used. If he wants some more, just state how many you need, but bear in mind there is 1 point added to the Dark powers ego score for the test...).
The Nazi concentrated, and a blast of energy lanced out from his eyes!
OOC Quick blast x2. 1d20+3+6-17=10 Accuracy. Multiplied by 2 for 20 damage, split 10htc 10 htk. Dividers reduced by 3 to 1. Any response, or taking the hit to drop you to 38htk, 50htc? Your frames.

Dodge, grab briefcase and run! Didn't expect him to heal up. Dodging between tents, changing forms as often as I can to confuse everyone.

Anyman
(14HP, 1 Dark power round)
OOC Roll of 4 for dodge. Unfortunately it's not easy to dodge Wc3 energy blasts, so it nets Anyman just a single point to reduce accuracy by on the shot, which means he takes 9Htk, 9htc putting him on 39htk and 51htc.
Anyman started forward, ducking to the side but crying out when the blast skimmed his arm. The Nazi raised his big fists and grinned at the Allied agent coming at him! "Yes, I am looking forward to... hey! Where are you...?"
Anyman ran past him, grabbed the case from the table and leapt through the tent wall, shredding the material and dragging the tent down on top of an enraged Major Nazi!
"Stop him!" screamed the Nazi. Anyman was pounding his feet as fast as he could! A drawn out wham bam battle in the middle of an army encampment would only end one way, be it sooner or later!
'Why don't you use the...' started the Dark power.
"SHUT UP!" spat Allard as he ducked behind a tent, morphed into a soldier that had just passed and stepped out, grabbing a passing officer. "There's a man in the command tent! He claims to be Major Nazi but it's Anyman! There are bodies all over! It's horrible! He's a killer! Argggggh!" and he sprinted off in panic, seemingly.
The officer ran round the corner and saw bodies strewn around the tent, which had collapsed and was being thrust about form within! He ordered his half a dozen men to level their weapons and open fire!
With the sound of signing machine guns ringing out, the camp was in sudden uproar! Soldiers ran here and there, whistles blew, dogs started barking, men were disturbed from their sleep in their tents, scrambling to pull on clothes, and Anyman hotfooted it to the motor pool, slowing to walk behind a tent and morph again to the form of the officer he'd spoken to. Stepping out, he walked to the fenced area where staff vehicles were being serviced. A guard approached him, but was looking to where hundreds of soldiers were streaming towards the commotion.
Saluting, the man asked "What's going on?"
"Anyman. He's impersonating Major Nazi and killed the General!"
The guard gasped, and continued to stare at the growing commotion as more and more machine guns added to the tally shooting at Major Nazi in the tent!
Meanwhile a staff car quietly threaded it's way through tent rows and away from the camp, lights burning into the darkness as extra jerry cans full of fuel clanked on the back seats, whilst wrapped sandwiches were munched on by the driver.
'What a time to eat!' muttered Putty inside him. 'Have you no morals? You just slaughtered dozens of men!'
'To fight an enemy, one must first climb down into its pit' replied the Dark power
The car roared off into the night...
OOC If you have anything else you want to do, holler, otherwise the Vanguards ship can zip across and gather you up...

ooc: Naw, I'm good. Forgot to be nasty with Major Nazi, thanks for picking up the slack about blaming him for everything and getting the soldiers to do my work for me.

Re: World War II - Putty/Anyman Issue #3
Anyman
(14HP+2 earnt=16HP, 1 Dark power round)
OOC I expected Anyman to pull some nasty stunt so filled in the blanks when it didn't come, hopefully you'll not mind
Parking the spent car up, Anyman looked about. The dispatches had mostly been about troop movements, but one item in particular had caught his interest.
"To all Commanding officers.
As you know we have been field trialling a serum to enhance the abilities of those imbibing it. It consists of two parts. One is useless without the other, but that second part is useful as a cold remedy. One acts as a catalyst for the other. The serum stays active in the bloodstream for around 24 hours, and turns a normal man into a superhuman. There are side effects, and those enhanced should wear earplugs and expect pain in the eardrums. We have encouraging signs that it will enhance those agents we have already treated with the vitality ray, the treatment derived from Lunarium radiation. A full record of field trials should be kept and forwarded to Dr Von Berne who will collate the information and come up with a new formula. In months we expect to have the entire army enhanced to the point of superhuman level. Enhanced strength, agility, endurance and speed, along with ultra keen senses and an increased resistance to injury will be the goals, and our tests show this is achievable. Nonetheless, we should beware of the threat from the British 'Vanguard' team. We have spies in place at their Headquarters who relay information to us, and are setting up strike teams to engage them individually. They should not be underestimated, but we believe we have found the source of their superhuman output, and will remedy the situation. Heil Hitler."
Traitors? At Bletchley? Anyman wasn't that surprised, but it was disappointing. He stuffed the maps and messages back in the briefcase, and almost missed a short one.
"All units be on high alert. We have reason to believe the reptilian aliens have betrayed us and may seek to compromise our Lunarium facility on the moon. Our factories are making excellent progress with manufacturing the future weapons from designs and blueprints supplied by Herr Bentham, but it takes time. If the Skrall attack, be ready for new orders, as right now they represent a greater threat than anything the English can muster. Watch for the skies."
Anyman frowned, then looked up. A ship filled his view, but the scarring and dents confirmed it was the Vanguards. As it lowered to 10m, hovering above the forest floor in a clearing, a hatch opened and Spartan stood in the gangway. "You've been making a nuisance of yourself Mr Allard!" he laughed, and turned to walk back in the ship. "Well come on, the tea's getting cold!"
OOC End of issue #3 Anyman earns 2HP after using the Dark Power (would have earnt 5 had he not) and yet again, his actions lend to his legend. Look to issue 4 (Battle of Britain) later on today (16th) for Anymans' update
