Re: The Ultrahumans! Issue #4 starring Miss Victory and Lionheart "The long road back"
Not having any real super-senses outside telescopic vision, Miss Victory thinks it might be something of a lost cause trying to find more victims in the fire. She would literally have to stumble upon them like she did this group. The biggest threat to the lives of everyone around here was the Pyromaniac. If she stopped him, it would put handling the forest fire on a more basic level. With him around, he could start new fires anywhere he wanted
So unless she spotted more people in danger, her priority now was him. So she leaped into the air and looked around for him.

Ripping another mature tree from the ground, earth and roots exploding and cracking to make a huge noise, the heroine sped down to the top and easily - like sinking fingers into putty - separates the branches from the main trunk with a sweep of her hand!
Running up and down the length of the tree she strips most of it bare then scoops to tear out the heart of the tree. It's big enough that anyone climbing inside can duck down and be protected.
Without superspeed all of this takes minutes but the families are safe in the hole she made for the time being though a few super fast runs in circles to create a kind of mini tornado to direct smoke away are needed. Hopping high on the spot to find an area free of fire Miss Victory also sees something else. A river and it leads to a lake, albeit distant, with a boat park and facilities no doubt.
Finally, filthy, costume torn in many places and burned in others, the heroine requests everyone climb in and hefts the whole lot onto her shoulder. The kids cry out but soon find they enjoy the ride despite the terror and closeness of the fire. "HOLD ON!" she cries and with her genius level intellect and a solid idea of the distance, the angle required and her own abilities Miss Victory leaps...
... and lands knee deep in the shingle of an unoccupied beach, cushioning the tree against impact with knees bent. Climbing out from under the tree the heroine helps people from the hollowed part. Despite being grimy, soot covered and petrified they are grateful and an elderly gentleman thanks Miss Victory "God bless you ma'am. We owe you our lives!" he declares.
It's a short walk of five to ten minutes for the folks along the lakeside to the boating facilities and Miss Victory leaps over with an unconscious woman in her arms, calling out for medical attention.
Finally she steps back as people rush to help and turns back to the fire.
She could go find more people to rescue, help with the fire containment efforts or go after the cause of the fire itself, a rogue metahuman!
OOC With 23 strength, staggering running speed, leaping and practical invulnerability from conventional flames there's no real need to roll dice here I figure.

Re: The Ultrahumans! Issue #4 starring Miss Victory and Lionheart "The long road back"
LIONHEART
The heroes physical senses were overwhelmed by this place! The noise, light, heat, smoke... His mental senses were another matter though!
Whilst they were not here in a physical capacity the 'men' in the brown suit could think, communicate... that meant their minds were able to work in some fashion here. Perhaps some... out of body 'astral' self that couldn't be affected physically, but could be found and interacted with on a mental or mystical level.
He probably thought he was immune to such attacks.
Lionheart didn't detect the emotions of the Lava Men. They were too... 'alien' to have thought processes that could be recognised by a human. They seemed to be elemental, driven by magic or some unearthly power. Nothing to interact with in other words. The fellows in the suit though...
OOC How many are you wanting to attack? One to send a message? All of them? You count at least half a dozen. Might make it tricky to target them all in terms of hitting and damage. You can sense the emotions coming off them so whilst the physical body is probably an illusion or some astral self they could be affected mentally...

Despite the overwhelming sensory stimulus and the deadly nature of his foe, Lionheart was able to latch onto something. Perhaps in targeting on of these copies he could send a feedback loop to the host or through them all. He would focus on one and hoped they all would share in what was coming.
OOC: OK put my points into attacking Devastating attack, and hope I don't miss.

MISS VICTORY
The heroine didn't have to look far...
leaping up and above the trees she scanned about whilst the arc of her leap carried her hundreds of feet without any real effort. Where was... THERE!
In the distance, like over a mile away. More probably, but because of the blinding bright white light of the villains fiery form she could see what appeared to be a miniature sun flying low over the trees and setting fire to them simply by flying close, like the idiot was crop spraying!
Landing in the top of a tree she moved to a branch and sprung up again, getting slightly closer every jump. This time the dot was zoomed in on... but she couldn't look directly at the guy, he was too bright!
The supervillain blasted a white hot super intense flame that probably rivalled or exceeded the heat of the sun! Trees exploded and flames burst out as the fiery figure shot left, right, all around then spiralled up into the sky to start getting hotter, and brighter, and more intense... what was he doing now?
OOC Fiery guy is about a mile up from the forest. He's fast! The heat he's putting out is crazy hot. Miss Victory can feel the heat even from this distance and its hotter (at a mile away) than any other place on the planet! The villain is burning so hot that the air is setting alight and forming a large, albeit fluctuating and erratic, fiery ball about himself.
From her vantage point the heroine can see the patches of wide scale devastation this guy has caused. He must be stopped!

LIONHEART
Swooping down the hero switched to Superspeed, maxed that out and made sure his force field was ok. So many things to think about! Flying, strength, superspeed, force field, switching mental energy around to boost things... he took it in his stride!
With lava spraying up all about the hero thrust his fists forward and flew into - and hopefully through - the lava beings!
OOC Devastating Attack on Six...
AV26 + 5 Dice M Arts + 7d12+0 5,7,4,3,8,10,2+0 = 18 (No doubles???) (44) vs
OV13 + Multi 6 + Dev Attack +8 + 2d12+0 7,6+0 = 13 (40)
Still hits! +3 EV
EV14 + 3 (EV 17) vs RV 21 + Multi 6 (RV27) - Dev Attack 12 (RV15)= 2 RAPs
Each Lava Man is on Body 10/12
Lionheart was fast, swooping through and around the cavern, ignoring the white hot heat and lava splashes. he crashed through the bodies, but found very little there that was actually solid and where a hole was made... he glanced over his shoulder, the whole place seemingly frozen in time while he moved so fast , and where a hole was made through a Lava Man it was already closing up!
Still, rather than displacing liquid he had struck something solid. Just... not a lot of it!
The Lava Men swung at the hero...
OOC May as well roll but they need a dice 'swing' of +18 to actually hit...
2d12+0 7,11+0 = 18 vs Lionheart 2d12+0 4,3+0 = 7
2d12+0 7,2+0 = 9
2d12+0 5,8+0 = 13
2d12+0 6,1+0 = 7
2d12+0 5,5+0 = 10 DOUBLE plus 2d12+0 3,1+0 = 4
2d12+0 4,12+0 = 16
All miss. In game terms they have Dex 8 vs Dex 26. Even if Lionheart rolls 4-5 they would still need a humungous (double really, maybe a triple) roll to lay a fiery fist on him!
The creatures roared in frustration as the blur shot through, around and past them, zipping about so quickly that he was gone before they could even register he'd been there! They swung at air and their frustration was easy to tell - they filled the cavern with roars!
The men in the rumpled Brown suits appeared, ghost like.
"I align myself with weaklings!" he declared. His scowl seemed to be ... unsure though. Lionheart could tell through his Empathy, much boosted from his days as a PSI Corps peacekeeper, that there was uncertainty, fear, dread even coming from the fellow...
"You haven't heard the last of me!" he shouted, barely audible over the roar of lava!
The man in brown vanished!
The Lava Men turned to regard Lionheart and moved towards him. Though they moved fast - for their size - he was like a blur, simply being someplace else even as they begun their swing!
OOC Still fighting the Lava Men or trying to see where Brown Suit went?

Re: The Ultrahumans! Issue #4 starring Miss Victory and Lionheart "The long road back"
Not wanting to get too close to the burning man, Miss Victory uses her telescopic vision to zero in on him and lets loose with a brain blast. Maybe her distance from him would give her a chance to surprise him and take him down.
ooc: Using telescopic to eliminate range penalties, so however close she needs to be to do that. Then using devastating attack with her brain blast. Got to come up with a victory/patriotic sounding name for that attack.

OOC: Def seeking to find the Brown man all the others here would not even take notice where it not for him. So I am looking to try and find him with the usual means at my disposal. And whilst doing so trying to make sure I stay out of reach, fluke other otherwise, of the lava beings. I realise if I don't sort this out now, then this won't be the last we hear of this fella.

Re: The Ultrahumans! Issue #4 starring Miss Victory and Lionheart "The long road back"
MISS VICTORY
Despite the villain being a mile or more away, Miss V could easily run to a point somewhere nearby and stare with her super peepers...
Yup! The fellow seemed to be made of liquid flame! Though it was difficult to look at him because it was like having a sun in the sky Miss V thought she could see through him to a certain degree...
OOC Points into Mental Blast (now 23)
AV23 + 4 Dice (accuracy) + 6d12+0 5,8,1,10,12,12+0 = 24 DOUBLE (boom!) plus 2d12+0 4,11+0 = 39 (62) vs
OV18 + Dev Attack 8 + 3 dice acrobatics -4 surprise + 5d12+0 8,5,4,2,8+0 = 16 (38)
Hit +7 (to EV30) vs RV19 - 12 (Dev Attack) so RV=23 RAPs
Despite having some hero points to soak up damage there's no way this guy has THAT many! he goes down!
The Pyromaniac screams, clutching his head!
Suddenly the fire and light goes out, the limp form of the villain falling from a mile up in the air! It would take about 30 seconds to crash into the floor and wherever he struck would feel it!
OOC One shotted the guy! That's what happens when you get someone in the big leagues coming up against a truly MASSIVE hitter like Miss V. That shot would have dropped Superman, no problem...

LIONHEART
Zipping about, probing with every sense, Lionheart swoops through the caverns and searches for the man in the brown rumpled suit...
Nothing!
How could anyone evade his senses, even in this place that tested the laws of physics?
That lead the genius former lawman of the future to the conclusion that the 'Brown Man' wasn't ever actually here, at least in a physical sense...
However...
OOC Power Reserve boosts Int to 18, Will to 14
AV18 + 4 Dice (detective) + 6d12+0 6,12,7,7,12,11+0 = 24 DOUBLE (Boom!) plus 2d12+0
10,3+0 = 37 (55) vs
OV8 + 2d12+0 9,3+0 = 12 (20)
Success +8 (to EV22) vs RV8=14 RAPs
1) Lionheart got a good look at the fellow. He doesn't have a photographic memory though...
2-3) ...if he is fast enough perhaps he can keep that memory fresh in his mind and run through a police, driving license, social security database...
4-6) With details of the fellows identity he can try a super fast takedown or call on allies in the Ultrahumans to distract or block some of those magical abilities...
7+) Chances are the fellow - if he is smart and he seems to be - will have another trick or two up his sleeve. Being able to split himself into clones is a powerful ability and to fully defeat such a person all of the clones would need taking out. Needless to say multiple blasts from a powerful magical opponent will be dangerous for anyone. Whilst he is incredibly resistant to magic Lionhearts mystical defences pale into comparison with his Physical and Mental defences, so best beware!
With a mind faster than any computer on the planet Lionheart runs through a number of possible solutions to his problem and figures that the Ultrahumans database, connected as it is to the US Government via high level contacts with the Whitehouse, might well be the way to go. This guy can seemingly be anywhere, any time, in multiple places at once and therefore extremely dangerous! But by knowing who he was, what he did for a living (anything?) where he lived, what he wanted... then perhaps he could be taken out with some dragged out crazy battle that would flatten a city!
OOC Maybe Recall (Photographic memory power) is something to consider next time with Hero Points... It's cheap and of limited use (out of combat only really) but gives a dimension to Lionheart other than being able to punch the moon out of orbit (he can't do that, but not far off!)

OOC: Yeah but would it one-shot Lionheart? Just asking for a friend, not me interested in that at all! Not ever thinking she could be mind or body controlled and attack the British Lion. Yeah! Truly! A friend wants to know.
Miss Victory runs and jumps out after the falling villain. He may be the type that can do lots of damage but isn't tough enough to survive a fall that high. She catches him in mid-air and then tries to figure out what to do with him. It's not like supervillain containment pods just lie around everywhere to place a beaten foe up in. A military base might have something like that but she has to think where the nearest one would be at.

OOC: Def use recall when we've got a chance to update and it fits so well with the character, so that would be good. Meanwhile, if things are going back to normal here and the potential lava flow subsiding I will head topside and go on doing what we can to right things where we can.

Re: The Ultrahumans! Issue #4 starring Miss Victory and Lionheart "The long road back"
MISS VICTORY
OOC in terms of 'who would win' I think we know the answer. Whoever goes first. We've seen that with Battlebug getting one shotted before he can even use the power that puts him in the big leagues. Miss Victorys Dex cap is 23, Lionheart is 26 so he has the edge, also higher stats and Superspeed, which is way overpowered in this (and most other) Supers game just because of the breadth of abilities it provides. Rightly so, it's one of the best super powers out there and a Speedster can make a mockery of a much slower tank. Unless the Tank is also a speedster. Superman vs the Flash in the Justice League movie had an example of this. Flash runs around and the world seems to slow down enough to stop from his point of view.
Apart from Superman, who not only sees Flash but is fast enough to take a pop at him and drop him.
So in most superhero games, I would say whoever has the highest Speed/Dex/Agility/Chance to hit/dodge wins. Don't get me started on Dexterity. It's the super stat. If you have high Dex in this game you go first, hit more and dodge more AND you can more easily Crit Blow/Devastating Attack with it. High Dex for the win!
There was something I wanted to try out and will suggest it at some point rather than simply putting it into play. Dex split between Initiative, Acting and Opposing value. So you have Dex 10. You could 3 points into initiative, 4 into Acting and 3 into opposing. Or go on the defensive and put all 10 into Opposing, or any variant in between.
Another idea I came up with was 'one combat roll'. Two combatants go at each other in melee, make one opposed Dex roll, highest comes out on top and apply damage. The only issue with that is skills that add dice wouldn't be applied (as you are attacking AND defending) unless you make two rolls. One for attack, one for defence. Then it starts to get a bit book keepy. Yes it isn't a word, but should be.
Anyway...
(I give up apologising for real life claims on my time. Had my son several days over the last week and when he goes the house needs tidying and I need to do laundry, shopping and so on. The real effect of my now being single is that when I work on a weekend I can come home and do what I want to do... Have three weekends of work coming up so watch this space..)
AV23 + 2d12+0 8,4+0 = 12 (35) vs
OV7 (speed of falling object) + distance 10 - Telescopic vision 8 (OV9) + 2d12+0 8,3+0 = 11 (20)
Success + 5
EV23 (Dex) + 5 (EV28) vs RV7=21 RAPs. Success.
Taking a run then a jump Miss Victory easily crossed the distance in between the man falling and where he would land and scooped up the villain. He looked scruffy, unkempt and like he'd not washed for a while.
His clothes were (OOC comic code approved) rags and there wasn't a mark on him, showing his was invulnerable to fire.
Landing in a clearing Miss Victory racks her brains to figure out where to drop the guy off...
OOC AV8 + 2d12+0 11,11+0 = 22 DOUBLE plus 2d12+0 9,8+0 = 17 (47) vs

1) Despite that she was in the middle of nowhere Miss Victory recalled seeing a small town only a few miles away. They'd at least have a jail and a Sheriff but she'd be tied up waiting for authorities to arrive. At least they might be able to say where the nearest US Army base was...
2-3) Come to think of it there was a section of Wilderness fenced off and chances were it was either army or private testing ground doing work for the Federal Government, hence the high fences and 'keep out signs'. That could be worth a look.
4-6) That would be the best bet. It was a US Army facility and quite a large one. How they would react to a (comics code) partially dressed superhuman was another thing but her credentials as an Ultrahuman would certainly help, if not even roll out the red carpet for her.
I don't known anything about where Army bases in the US are or how many there are but given the size of the military there must be quite a few I reckon. We'll call this one 'Fort Mackendale' which is something I plucked from my head, apologies to any real Fort Mackendale out there (if there is one).
Using her genius level intellect and going off the brief looks around she'd had whilst in the air the superheroine knew that the Army would have the best means of holding the supervillain whilst she continued to battle fires (presuming that is what she will do).
It wasn't far away - minutes at her 'considerate to the environment' speed or instantly is she didn't mind creating a backwash that would down trees and tumble cars...

Taking a run then a jump Miss Victory easily crossed the distance in between the man falling and where he would land and scooped up the villain. He looked scruffy, unkempt and like he'd not washed for a while.

Re: The Ultrahumans! Issue #4 starring Miss Victory and Lionheart "The long road back"
LIONHEART
Flying topside (through dozens of metres of rock) and slowing so as not to 'explode' from the surface the hero looks around and seeks to slow/stop/divert the flow of lava. Without any fear of being burned himself, the best method appears to be to use his telekinesis to divert the flow of lava and guide it into one spot where it can pool.
This takes time and in the meantime, mercifully, it starts to rain. That also sets his mind whirling. What would it take to generate enough weather/barometric pressure in order to cause rainfall?
OOC Boosting int by 10, will by 5.
AV20 + 2d12+0 5,11+0 = 16 (36) vs
OV12 + 2d12+0 10,9+0 = 19 (31)
Success +3
EV12 (meaning Will +5) +3 (EV15) vs RV12=3 RAPs
1) What causes rain? Clouds are made of water droplets. Within a cloud, water droplets condense onto one another, causing the droplets to grow. When these water droplets get too heavy to stay suspended in the cloud, they fall to Earth as rain.
2-3) By... flying around at super speed in a tight circle Lionheart can create a 'whirlwind' effect (though not as easily as someone like Prof Wynde can instantly summon. That in turn would compress a cloud together and form rain. Higher up in the whirlwind/tornado the temperature might even be cold enough to make sleet or snow, all of which would fall on the affected areas where the lava still endangered.
I can't find the rules for using powers in ways 'other than described' - in other words one off tricks or in this case creating a tornado, but it can be done. Usually it costs hero points and will require an expenditure every time it's done. The way to avoid this is to buy the power Air Control itself...
Anyway, that's one option. Another is to find some kind of container - such as a shipping container or the like - and swoop down to the nearest lake to scoop up thousands of gallons of water. Along the way some will be lost but enough to 'seal' the magma holes in the earth with an instantly hardened 'plug' of lava rock.
You might also come up with your own ideas how Lionhearts powers can help things. It's all about coming up with the ideas, rolling some dice and seeing what happens...

Lionheart considered his options, in any case doing nothing wasn't an option the Lava threatened much natural habitat and could prove a threat to human life. Whatever he did he needed to do quickly. He considered his options...
OOC:OK I am no expert so this is me thinking what I could do straight away, the first option is to excavate holes that will fill up with lava and stop the flow from going much further. Should that prove ineffective then the second option is to get water and dump it on the lava as you mentioned earlier. If those fail or fail to stop the whole flow then I will need to think about other options like the weather control thing - which seemed the best option as a last ditch attempt.

Jumping and running, Miss Victory heads the for the Army base with her prisoner. She hopes that they have some kind of containment facility for the villain. If not, they may have to try keeping him unconscious with drugs.

LIONHEART
Using his super speed and strength the Ultrahuman ran around and around the trail of lava, making a kind of 'moat' around wherever the lava would go. After that he waved his hands at the lava.
An ordinary person waving at lava wouldn't do anything.
Someone who could move millions of time faster than an ordinary person...
Though it wasn't controlled and anyone standing nearby would be leaning hard into a gale force wind the ferocious wind served to cool the lava almost as fast as it spewed out!
Twenty minutes of that, moving from place to place... almost an eternity for someone who could approach the speed of light!
He stopped, took to the air and looked about.
Whilst the area steamed and smoked there were no active lava flows now and where the wind wasn't quite cutting it he could 'drill' a hole by spinning on the spot and flying out as the lava poured into it...
His forcefield protected his costume and the skin beneath it from the heat, smoke and grime so he was spotless as he flew up and away from the site of the lava eruption.
OOC Head for Ultrahumans HQ to find out more details on this guy or head out to help Miss Victory? With Lionhearts telepathy there's nowhere on the North American Continent that's too far for him to contact a team mate...

Re: The Ultrahumans! Issue #4 starring Miss Victory and Lionheart "The long road back"
OOC Thanks for the map! We'll go for ... Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado, more or less the middle.
MISS VICTORY
"HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!" called a voice from a helicopter which hovered over the fence of the airbase. Miss V had been sensible about approaching the sprawling place, they tended to be somewhat 'twitchy' with security and rightly so.
The Ultrahuman dropped the villain to the ground and stepped back, allowing the crew in the Helicopter to to get a good look.
The gates opened and half a dozen vehicles - hummers and two motorbikes - came out from the base and stopped short.
Soldiers disgorged and held weapons at the ready but an officer stepped up. "Your transponder shows A1 status. We checked in with the powers that be and confirmed a few details" he called out over the retreating sound of the chopper as it turned to the base.
"We think we know who you are ma'am. We also know that the weapons we carry..." he looked about at the automatic rifles and .50 cals on the Hummers "Won't even mess your hair up. Just need to hear the details from you and we can stand down and help you out..."

OOC: Whilst I agonised over which choice to make as Frostbite, this is so much simpler, team up with Miss V and or then get back to the Ultrahuman's base.

Re: The Ultrahumans! Issue #4 starring Miss Victory and Lionheart "The long road back"
"I'm Miss Victory, newer member of the Ultrahumans," she replies with a smile to the airmen. "This man, whose name I do not know, was causing all the fires all over the place, endangering people's lives, probably killing a bunch of folks. I'm calling him the Arsonist until I know what he really calls himself. He can generate heat close to that of the surface of the sun. I have no place to put him and am hoping you have something that can hold him, nullify his powers or keep him unconscious so he can't generate that kind of heat until proper arrangements for his incarceration can be arranged."
She thinks a bit.
"Maybe put him into a medically supervised coma?"

Re: The Ultrahumans! Issue #4 starring Miss Victory and Lionheart "The long road back"
MISS VICTORY and LIONHEART
The Soldiers looked at each other, one leaning into a microphone. This was something way above their pay grade but they'd heard about the Ultrahumans of course - who hadn't? The worlds most famous, most powerful super team.
Plus of course this the newest member of the 'Core' Ultrahumans who would no doubt adorn the bedroom wall of teenagers across the country once the merchandise machine rolled out posters, action figures, cartoon shows, comic books, various items of clothing and social media accounts and the like. It helped that Miss Victory was very easy on the eye.
Just then she twitched as what seemed to be a distant voice became clearer in her head...
"...iss Victory? It's Lionheart. I wondered if you needed any help? I can be with you in moments." said the English accent inside her head.
"Miss?" asked one of the Soldiers. "Are you...? Sorry ma'am, you seemed a little spaced out then. Could you bring the ... ahhh.... prisoner into the camp? We're running the computer now and your clearance is checking out but there are several levels to go through."
Aside from a visual confirmation of appearance, height, weight, dimensions and the like, Miss Victory wore a communicator that accessed a code that would show up on law enforcement databases giving her the highest clearance aside from the President of the United States. She could, in theory, commandeer this Army base for National Security purposes if she wanted.
It was a lot of power to place into the hands of a few people, but the Ultrahumans had proven over and over again that they were worthy of the trust. Until that is, the betrayal by Atomic Champion. Now the confidence was shaken, things wouldn't be taken on face value any more and would take time to process.
=========
LIONHEART
He sent the mental 'pulse' and looked down at the United States from several miles up. Peaceful up here. No one would guess that down there were various disasters natural and otherwise that needed dealing with. Miss Victory could look after herself, no doubt, but they made a good team and had pretty much saved the Nation and possibly the world between them by thwarting Atomic Champion. had he been unopposed the villains that had been freed would now be making demands to workd governments and... well, that mess was averted.
Unfortunately most of the powerful supervillains had escaped. Each one was a match for most of the Ultrahumans, even the Core, and there were quite a few of them.
The Ultramax prison had been a safe way to incarcerate them all... until it wasn't then it had proven a disaster. Lionheart wondered if Wandafar, the alien super genius that was a friend to the Vanguard, might be able to conjure up a better solution to put villains on ice from that amazing mind of his.
He scanned about and swooped down, slowing then drifting to street level with a cat in hand. Handing it to a young boy who stood with mouth open and hands out next to his equally amazed mother, Lionheart waved and took to the sky again, waiting for Miss Victorys' response.

Whilst the Ultrahumans had a lot of work to do to rebuild their tarnished reputation, in some small way, Lionheart hoped his and Miss V's efforts together with the many who'd given their lives to stop a catastrophe happening would be remembered as well. But time was running out, many villains remained at large, but what wasn't in their favour was time. Their was both a crying need to humanly incarcerate super powered beings and return the nation back to a state of normality. Such chaos only served their enemies much more than them. They were dangerously on the back foot, but it was consoling that Silver Sentinel was now back in play, that alone was a major point in the battle so far.
Lionheart continued to wait...

Re: The Ultrahumans! Issue #4 starring Miss Victory and Lionheart "The long road back"
Miss Victory entered the base and then excused herself for a moment.
"Have to take a call from another hero," she explains as she steps a bit to the side.
"Hi Lionheart, I just stopped someone who was able to generate enough heat to burn people to ash and was starting fires all over the place. I do not recognize him. Maybe if you have time you could come down here and look him over? You have more knowledge of villains than I do. I'm at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado. Not sure how we are going to contain him so I brought him to the nearest military base in hopes they could keep him contained for now."

Lionheart mentally gave ascent so that Miss Victory knew he had heard and understood, before launching himself at the directions given, which would place him there in know time at all.

Re: The Ultrahumans! Issue #4 starring Miss Victory and Lionheart "The long road back"
LIONHEART
... was mindful to contain his speed until he was away from the buildings on the ground. People gaped and pointed, phones were hastily fired up... then he was gone!
With a crack and flare of air around him as he went high up and supersonic he arced over the United States and down again. His computer like minds combined made him one of the smartest heroes on the planet when he applied that energy to his brain and it was childs play to pick out the location of the base when he was in the general vicinity.
Swooping down he slowed as he saw military personnel scrambling about and he was mindful to slow to a hover about twenty feet off the ground in front of the main gates, not worried about the weapons pointed at him. Unless they were nuclear munitions, neither he nor Miss Victory would be too bothered.
Speaking of which...
He saw the heroine inside the base and shouted "My friend is here! We're ULTRAHUMANS!"
That apparently carried a lot of weight as one Soldier leaned in, listening to something over the earpiece. Then he said something, the weapons lowered and the soldier waved Lionheart 'in'. As if they could stop him but it was only polite of course.
MISS VICTORY
Having been shown into the base the heroine carried the unconscious super villain over to a group of waiting soldiers. Someone of rank - a Captain - arrived with a squad of soldiers, some of whom were carrying some heavy duty manacles that would cover the hands entirely and were joined by a thick cable and a power pack.
The Captain nodded at Miss Victory, inspecting the villain. "Doesn't look like much, ma'am. Doesn't need to though. Since that breakout we hear of fights and incidents all over the place. The country is buzzing, the news are constant and it seems you people are everywhere, putting out fires, saving people and..." with a glance at the fellow at Miss Victorys' feet "Whacking moles, so to speak."
"I..."
A soldier leaned in to the Captain who listened, then paled.
"Put the base on full alert!" he demanded. "Let the Commander know what's going on and seal the place up!"
The Captain turned to Lionheart and Miss Victory. "One of our bases is under attack! There are nuclear munitions there!"

OOC No idea where the Nuclear bases are in the US so we'll just call it 'Fort Handsworth' and it's about 2-300 miles from here. By the way any OOC stuff I'll try to put in quotes if I remember to a) make it stick out and b) save me a few clicks and some time...

"Hmm, I guess we shouldn't be surprised with so many villains and our own heroes stretched thin that some of the more aggressive would try to hold the country to ransom with weapons of mass destruction."
Though it was no surprise, it was still a bold move and one that had far reaching repercussion, should they not get onto of this and quick. It was probably the case that a lot of the lower powered villains had been wiped out when Sentinel's unbreakable skin was broken. So this move must be the heavier hitters, either the mad, and bad and powerful. In any case it was not time to sit around and wait for developments, they hardly needed orders from the Ultrahumans to know what needed to be done.
OOC: OK point us in the right direction and lets get going. Depending on Miss V/David's preference I can either give him a lift or meet him there. But unless we need some further info, I suggest we kick the tyres and light some fires... What do you think, Dave?
