Where she hovers just inside the gondola Sun Girl is swarmed by a pair of Humanoids! One pounds against her energy shield that she throws up in time while another slams a fist into her face from the side! She groans and stumbles somewhat, landing heavily on the floor in a crouch but still fighting!

OOC Heroes up - Frostbite, Sun Girl, Zoomaster.

Seeing how the humanoids swarm over Sun Girl was not the action that Frostbite considered gentlemanly. So he ran to intervene shoot wide to try to get as many as he could in his beam whilst avoiding hitting Sun Girl in the instance.

OOC: Ok go for accuracy two extra die, and wide dispersal against them all.

The Humanoids reeled from the blast and Solar girl gave a thumbs up for the helping hand.

Taking a leaf from Frostbites book she spreads her hands and unleashes her most powerful blast at the humanoids!

They weren't out of the woods just yet and who knew what would happen if they had downed all of them. This had to end and end quickly, Zoo master was keen but clearly not as experienced and Sun Girl was in danger of more serious harm. Frostbite took aim, and sought to end this quickly.

Sun Girl breathes a sigh of relief while the gorilla changes back into Zoo Master. "You really showed them!" he said then added "But I need to work on things, clearly."

"Don't be too hard on yourself Daniel... I mean Zoo Master. We're learning and ... do you hear that?" she said.

Zoo Master changed into a bat and fluttered about before speaking - which was odd because Bats, talking - "There IS something. From each of the downed humanoids. A kind of... ticking..."

Moving over to one of the panels, Frostbite spoke to his AI companion. 'We've got a problem, these are booby-trapped. Is there anything we can do to stop them? Or are we going to have to let them take the ship before the ship lowers more and takes out a whole block?'

Frostbite motioned for the others to not touch the bodies, "Booby-trapped, by our 'friend' nice sort of welcome. HIs idea of foiling us and stopping us getting back at him, no doubt. We might need to leave urgently, get ready. My, err friend, is talking to the machines in here!" Frostbite knew that sounded lame and more than a little suspicious, but he didn't have time to explain, frankly he had no idea how much time they had.

OOC: Busy today, lots going on, so will update the others later. Anyway wanted to find out the best course of action, if we can stop the humanoids detonating and instead move the ship to a safe space, rather than park a ship full of munitions in a public place, all good and well, if not I think best we send the ship up, up and away where it can detonate harmlessly.

'The Humanoids are on a different system entirely to the controls of the ship. There is nothing I can do to stop their detonation. Quite remarkable. Your friend Wandafar would be useful in figuring out what makes them... 'tick'.' said Frostbot inside Frostbites head.

"The ship is going to blow! Make sure anyone who can be saved is saved!" declared Frostbite. Looking about, he saw that the thing was basically a floating tank. Designed to work from very high altitude and equipped with air to air missiles as well as mortar/grenades. The technology on show was remarkable. The bombs and missiles were very light and not made of metal that Frostbite could determine. Instead it seemed to be a kind of plastic. Very tough, pliable, and in this case, acting like a kind of plastique. With the right catalyst everything that this airship was made of would go up like a HUGE bomb!

That put the mind behind this endeavour as the most dangerous being encountered in this whole mess! The Eurotrash members were mercenaries, dependent on getting paid and only loyal so long as their bank accounts were being filled. The target had been that man in the vault, for some reason, Frostbite was sure. Typical Eurotrash, they'd fouled it up by taking hostages and grabbing what money they could - being greedy in other words.

For now though...

The bat flew back into the control room. "This thing is filled full of bombs! We need to get away!"

Sun Girl took to the air and swooped away. Frostbot crackled back into Frostbites hand as he touched the panel and he left last, making sure no person was left behind.

The airship went up... up... up...

When it was a dot in the sky Frostbite started to wonder if they'd made a mistake and perhaps this had been Professor Powers plan to get the airship out of there... until it went BANG!!!!

Screams from far below as bystanders covered their mouths in shock and saw the mushrooming explosion. It was big but relatively contained. It would have taken out an area the size of a shopping centre for sure...

The trio flew down to ground level and could see something was wrong!

Kevin/SURGE was down, reeling from something and in his grown form he'd fallen, flattening a police van and further injuring himself. He'd shrunk down to normal size and was semi conscious.

Dawson was, like many of his troops, downed and dazed.

Many of the police were unconscious!

What had happened here?

Mamba!

The speedster had been back and caused havoc! That left Frostbite several choices...

1) Get after Mamba which would require some digging
2) secure the area to make sure no one else is missing/injured
3) leave Dawson and the police to clean up. Strictly speaking he'd done his job and foiled Professor Power's plan to snatch someone.. hmmm... how about following that lead up? What did PP want with a guy in a casino?

Frostbite took a moment to take it all in. Having saved something of the situation, nonetheless, he'd walked into a whole other mess. Though it wasn't his to clear up, now he was here, it didn't seem fair to leave it in Dawson's hands alone. He spoke to Zoo Master and Sun Girl whilst assessing the situation.

"Check the injured the guy in the vault, I want him brought to me safely, assuming Mamba didn't take him before we get there. If he did watch in case there are any clues - its an active crime scene be careful not to contaminate it. Then meet me back here, ok?"

Without a second thought, Frostbite started to check on the police, Dawson and the others to make sure they were safe, bringing the injured to the Ambulances and seeking to wake those who he could, whilst making sure the area remained secure from curious onlookers.

OOC: Looks like the first thing is to find out what we don't know, who this was about and what his connection was with this mysterious Professor Power. Meantime I'll help Dawson, and get things sorted as best we can.

Dawson shook his head. "It's times like this that I'm reminded why my dad retired early. He'd had his fill of his ass being kicked by assholes."

"Powers. Check the lady cop boss out. Make sure she's ok." he ordered some of his troops who'd recovered their senses enough to move. "Unbelievable. The speed... by the time we'd pulled a trigger he'd outrun the bullets, taken out anyone who mattered, got his buddies out and skedaddled."

With Zoo Master and Sun Girl checking out the vault, Frostbite moved to check Kevin out. His old protege was sparked out and only just recovering a little after a medic waved salts under his nose. He thrashed about and groaned. Peeling his face mask half way up because of the tv cameras still about, he spat blood and coughed a few times. His skin was black and blue. He'd taken a beating!

"Speedsters." he muttered. "Gimme someone who wants a straight up fight. While you were up there he zipped in, beat the snot out of the cops in seconds and then turned his attention to me. If I hadn't been grown, I'd be like a smashed overripe tomato. As it is, I took a beating like never before and I'm only alive because he didn't consider me a threat. Dammit."

Not much Frostbite could add but before he did Sun Girl floated out into the street. "The hostage is still in there. We got everyone out. A few bags of cash are missing and maybe he'll come back for the rest. Bad guys are powerful, cocky, and not often smart."

The hostage was still there. That was something. Time to go for a chat!

Dawson went with Frostbite and the pair met Zoo Master who was in human form in the vault with the semi conscious man.

With a few coughs he looked up. "Question time eh? How about... I'm an innocent bystander and I don't know what this is all about? Now let me go so I can get checked out and find a decent drink, and possibly pills for this headache..."

The man was in his fifties, battered and surly looking. Overweight, well dressed if roughed up and he'd been punched repeatedly in the face.

Frostbite looked over him and moved to crouch so that he was at eye level, the eerie cold light of his chest plate seemed to cast a thousand sparkling lights over his iridescent ice-covered body. His eyes had that piercing look that matched his cold exterior as he looked intently at the man. "Friend, I have no idea how a John like you could end up in a place like this when these guys came crashing in on the place. Imagine that, was this just a case of bad time and wrong place? Or is Prof power and his cohorts after more...friend innocent is the last thing you are and a decent drink is looking like a far receding prospect if we don't get some straight answers to some straight questions? Now, why don't we got to that before we think about that otherwise I've got a lot of sore, angry cops who'd like a word with you and they will not be so patient as I am being with your right now to do the right thing."

Frostbite stared impassive, almost like granite cold seemed off of him, making the room less hospitable than it was before as think tendrils of ice began to form slowly all around the man, creeping toward him like so many tributaries of ice running slowly like creepers toward him...

Dawson glanced about. "Hmmm. No cameras. Good." he pulled a taser from a holster and took aim.

"Now wait a minute WAIT!" shouted the man, and Dawson tased him!

"Right now this man or whatever he has done or said is putting people's lives at risk." he said, switching off the shock and pulling the prongs from the mans chest. He grabbed the guys shirt and pulled his sweating form closer to talk face to face. "My friend here plays by the rules. I don't have to!" Dawson declared. "I'll send for another taser and we'll see if you want to talk by the time it gets here!"

"Yooouuuu ... c... can't d... do this!" spluttered the drooling man. He was barely conscious and Frostbite knew he'd used a low setting on the taser, but was still shocked that a law enforcement official would use such tactics!

Turns out that was a mistake, cause next thing I'm out enjoying myself and these costumed goons turn up here and beat the snot out of my boys an' turn on me. I told em where to get what they wanted but this guy who wants the stuff wants ta send a message. That message bein' he's top dog an' anyone who tells him to sod off gets publicly humiliated... or worse." said Tullard.

"And what was it that you got for 'this guy'?" asked Dawson.

"Uranium 235." muttered Tullard.

Dawson turned to Frostbite. "Ura... that's one of the ingredients for a nuclear bomb!"

Frostbite groaned, "From the little, I saw of this prof power, I suspect he has an ego to match his ambitions. He would want to be bold and dramatic and no doubt tonight's little display is nothing compared to what he'd be willing to do. Tullard, you'd best spill the beans, Dawson doesn't have to protect you now that the potential is terrorism on a massive scale. You'd better make this good or Dawson will strap you to a missile and I'd be inclined to let him, compared to the death and destruction Power might reign down on an unsuspecting country just to salve his bruised ego."

"It was being transported in a military convoy a couple of weeks ago. The government kept the theft quiet to avoid panic, but they have people looking. It's not much, but enough for a megaton level weapon." he said, wiping blood from his chin. "A place in Cumbria - a farmhouse - is where it's being kept. Middle of nowhere. I have people watching the place but against supers? What do I get for helping you? I'm seriously out of pocket here and..."

Dawson snarled.

"...and I should be happy that I get the chance to make amends." he muttered. Dawson shoved a notepad and pen under Tullard's nose. "Address! Now!"

Tullard hastily scribbled the address. Dawson turned to Frostbite. "I'll contact the relevant authorities and get things moving but it will need time. Against supers as well... time is of the essence. That speedster may already be there!"

Tullard chuckled. "Yeah we took precautions. When you move that quick you sometimes miss details. If he charges in to get this stuff he'll get a surprise. A nasty one."

Dawson raised an eyebrow. "Tripwires, mines, snipers, tear gas we're ready for double cross villain tactics. I hope. I could get them to stand down for you if we can cut a deal..." offered Tullard.

The special agent turned to Frostbite. "You've been on point for all of this. The UKChampions can help, but if you want a crack at it I'll make sure you're in charge of the first response team."

Nodding to Tullard, "I'll leave you to confirm details or make deals, but I appreciate taking a crack at this. However your team, with due respect I need front bench not backbench on this one. I don't mind them tagging along because they clearly have the abilities and I'd like to give them some wider experience, but the Champions are more experienced and I don't like working without a team I can trust. Make the call and tell them to meet me there, I've got transport of my own. I'll take Zoo Master, Sun Girl and see how Surge is doing - he took some nasty lumps. One last thing..." Frostbite touched Dawson's Phone and on mental command had Frostbot gain all the digital access they needed to stay on comms.

And with that, he floated up through the vault to the ground above and up to gather up Jones and his toy army and the rest of Dawson's team.

OOC: Ok assuming that is all ok, and Dawson is ok with calling the Champions north, I'll take those who are able to come with me and gather as many of Tim's crew to the ship.

Have to say a great deal of work must have gone into them, in any case seem like a great way to bring Frostbite into the wider superhero world after really being on the edges for what must have been years. I always find it funny as Frosty is no marshmallow but he is no big hitter like Lionheart, yet here he is rubbing shoulders with this lot. Well, I never.

"I've arranged for transports to pick them up and take you three to the site. You need to be ready for anything! That speedster complicates things and perhaps some or ALL of Eurotrash might be heading to that farm... before we know it there might be World War III breaking out, right here in Britain!" he said.

Dawson looked up. "The call's gone out. Some of the team can get there under their own power but are fast enough to..."

A light lit up the sky and a blazing comet in human form appeared in the air!



"I answered the call." she stated simply.

"I am Atomica."

Dawson glanced at Frostbite "She's big on dramatics. Alien Princess and all that." he chuckled.

The tall woman landed gracefully and smiled at Dawson. "It has been a while, Dawson. Pass on my respects to your father." Dawson winced then nodded. "There's a bad situation in the hills of Cumbria. I have the details here and..."

"Give them to me. I shall end the threat." she declared, taking to the air and hovering twenty feet up as policemen gaped and the press shielded their eyes.

"You go as part of a team!" declared Dawson. "With this man, Frostbite, in charge! His orders should be followed as if they were my own..."

"And I follow no ones orders, not even Adjutants." said Atomica. "But I shall consider his requests and decide if they are useful before acting."

Dawson grimaced "Gotta take what you can get sometimes pal. Good luck."

OOC Atomica is Class 4, on the lower end of the scale admittedly but able to give Lionheart a good tussle. My money would be on the speedster but it depends on dice, who gets the drop on who and what power set Lionheart uses with regards his mental energy. She's a tough cookie.

Frostbite nodded with a knowing look to Dawson before floating up to meet Atomica, "Your highness, it is good to meet someone of your status and worth, I consider myself very grateful for your condescension on this mission. I am afraid I have been off-world for some time, perhaps you can enlighten me more about yourself, whilst we take my carriage to the destination."

Although it wasn't in Frostbite nature to be sycophantic, nor did he see much to be gained from rubbing this lady, who was probably used to diva type treatment, the wrong way. If you can get someone on your side, then you've better chance of them firing outside rather than inside the camp, he thought. Besides which, she was clearly someone of regal bearing and it behoved him to treat a lady like a lady.

OOC: I am not going to vie with her for top dog position until such a time as that is necessary, just coming alongside and getting friendly carrot rather than the stick approach and then seeing what happens when we get to position. I can see this is going to be like herding cats, though ;-) Anyway, once the ship arrives, let's go not forgetting Tim and his tiny army.

Atomica glanced down at Frostbite raised her chin. "I am Veranna Ko'Lais Dan Sherinn high princess of the second dahn of the empire of the Starlit. That is the first of my titles and I will not bore you with the others. Cobwebs would form over the place were I to list them all."

A twinkle in her fiery eye suggested she didn't take herself quite as seriously as Frostbite first thought. He did feel the intense heat given off from her form but it didn't start to melt him. Yet.

"I can fly, project and absorb energy, protect myself with an energy field and can protect myself in hand to hand combat situations." she explained. "Life as a target means I have been trained from a young age to be self sufficient. And you?"

Timmy watched from the ground and clunked his Cyborg form over to wait for Frostbite to come down. "Are you sure I'll be of any use? My toys... well, they'll get carved up and this body, whilst more powerful than anything I've had before, is no match for speedsters. I feel... I'll let you down."

Frostbite was about to answer when he heard raised voices and saw Surge/Kevin arguing with Dawson as he was being treated in the back of an ambulance. He looked over. "Frostbite! Tell him! I'll be fine! I can help!" Dawson glanced at Frostbite and gave a slight shake of his head.

There was a distant rumble and what appeared to be a Chinook type helicopter appeared in the sky as a dot but got larger as it got closer. It was really shifting, courtesy of two large pods that ran down the length of the vehicle and provided huge forward propulsion for the vehicle.

Atomica explained "I can fly much faster than any vehicle! Give me the address and I will go ahead, to scout and possibly resolve the situation. Don't worry, I won't rush headlong into a fight!"

"This fight is one in which nuclear material has been stolen, a bomb or possible some weapon is like the reason for its theft.  So, by all means, scout, I know it might be beneath you to wait as those involved might be to easy a match.  However some might prove a challenge and one, in particular, is excessively fast therefore I'd request you hold your ground till we can catch you up."

And with that, he descended again to Timmy saying.  "I realise you might feel like a fifth wheel, Timmy, but you've proven you have invaluable skills.  If you don't wish to come that is quite alright, but I don't want to leave you out just because you don't think you can be of use.  Everyone can be useful if we work as a team.  Think about it, I'd better have a chat with Kevin."

Moving quickly over to Surge, he nodded to Dawson and looked straight at Surge.  "How you holding up?  Are you about ready to walk this off or is this you not wanting to show us how badly beat up you are.  I've been there, black and blue but ready to put some skin in the game, especially if it means teaching a bad guy a lesson.  Don't let him be the bigger man.  We win some, we lose some, but don't let pride be your undoing.  You can come, but only if the medics say so, and only if you can hold it together.  Step out of line and Dawson will be waiting to kick you back to the middle of last year.  He'll have you teaching kids reading lessons if you step out of line?  You hear me?"

Frostbite wanted to lay it on thick so that he knew he cut the man some slack, but he didn't want him going back to fight off some angry grudge that might make Surge do something stupid and endanger the mission.  But he had to learn somehow, can't learn to take orders without a situation where you can defy them, he reasoned.  

OOC:  Ok I think we are about ready to go, if Tim comes all good, if not it's fine, I'd want him to know he did good tonight whatever he decides.

Cyborg Tim ponders for a moment. "In for a penny, in for a pound. I've done bad and this is my chance to atone. No time to sit it out. One day I'll even the scales but that's a long way off. I'm in." he said in his robotic voice.

As for Surge, Kevin looked frustrated and battered but determined. "I'm no quitter boss! You might think so, the way I walked out on your team but I was frustrated. Those others... maybe Steph aside and one or two others... they weren't 'hands on'. Maybe their powers, more likely their attitude. I would have ended up carrying them or protecting them as much as beating on bad guys. I... was frustrated. Angry. All this power yet... most of the time I was held back because we were inside a building and I felt a need to grow. This power... I NEED to use it. For good. Let me come."

The medic glanced at Frostbite from behind Kevins back and gave a slight shake of the head.

"If I'm a liability I'll back off and stay with the ship. I need this Frostbite. Let me prove myself!" he offered.

The 'jet copter' landed in the car park near the casino which now swarmed with police and Dawson's operatives. It had taken a number of minutes.

Dawson explained as the blades wound down. "We've gathered who we could - whoever was available and there are two to pick up on the way. I'm going to coordinate efforts here but you know what you have to do. Stop Eurotrash from getting that Uranium. I'm going to chat with Mr Tullard to see what else he can tell us. I've alerted a strike team to head to the area and they'll be on site or around in a short time. The problem is we'll have to drop off a few miles away and use less obvious means to approach the farmhouse so as not to tip them off. This is a big payday for Eurotrash and they won't be messing around. Be ready for a war, and in the process try to prevent one!" he offered a hand and passed over an earpiece comm link. "Tied into the Jet copter so even if there's no signal in the middle of nowhere they can patch you through to me. Keep me updated. Good luck."

He led the way to the jetcopter and waited as the door hissed open.

Two costumed figures strode down the ramp and greeted Dawson before turning to Frostbite.

"UKChampions Shamrock and Castaway." offered Dawson.





The woman was friendly and familiar. She was Fiona Brennan, a TV show host and superhero with a public ID. Her powers were pretty well documented as she could transport herself and others a certain distance away. Tactically she was a support hero but had proved herself time and again when the team were in a fix. She gave a dazzling, well practised smile and shook Frostbites frosty cold hand. "Oooohh! Brrrr! Cold hands warm heart?" she chuckled.

Shamrock was more serious and stood with arms crossed. "Not much to go on with you. Active until a year or so ago then... nothing. Out of retirement for a crack at the big time again? I'm Shamrock." He didn't offer a hand but Frostbite detected a slight edge of humour to his voice, which had a soft Irish accent.

"Nice to meet you, Shamrock and Castaway, I appreciate the time you've given. This isn't going to be easy and haste means we've not got the intel we'd like. But if we board my ship we can discuss the plans on the way make you familiar and get you up to speed with the rest of the team"

Frostbite, then showed them to where Catherine had duly been directed to land and bring them all aboard.

OOC: No point repeating things, but once onboard I'd welcome any comments. Although Dawson has given me the say so on this, I can spot talent and want to make sure people can make use of theirs. Getting in isn't the problem, it's getting close and scouting sufficient that we can get a good idea of what we'll see there. By now its sun up, but with my weather control abilities it might be easier to bring in a fog to give us cover, but it depends on what the lay of the land is. Hopefully, if she has followed orders Aotmica should also have got some intel on her fly by

Catherine called on the comms "I have the others on board and Dawson gave me coordinates to pick up one more."

"Shame I no longer have the power I used to have or I could have helped out. As it is... you have a real motley crew. From what I can tell Atomica is the muscle and you're next up. The others? Good luck! I will try my old contacts to see if there's anyone else who can drop everything to get to the middle of nowhere in short order."

"Where is this 'ship' "asked Castaway as Frostbite lead the group to a flat rooftop. The various people had run, flown, jumped or teleported here and Frostbite was reasonably sure he wouldn't have to nursemade them.

Timmy had formed the tiny toy army into a clustered plastic ball of action figures clinging to each other and carried it easily. Despite it being large then a car it was plastic and made for only a couple of hundred pounds in weight despite there being several toy shops worth.

The air shimmered and the stealth VTOL craft appeared above them with ropes trailing down from the rear hatch. Most didn't need them but Shamrock made a point of climbing up. At speed.

When everyone was buckled in Catherine called back "We good? One more pickup then we're high speed to the target."

The vehicle set off and the group glanced at each other nervously. Kevin sat patched up with a bandage on an arm and plasters on his cut up face, not caring about his mask for now. Zoo Master and Sun Girl glanced about nervously but felt they were in the presence of their betters. Shamrock and Castaway appraised the others and muttered between each other.

Timmy stood apart, seemingly like a statue with his robotic feet clamped magnetically to the floor of the flying stealth craft.

Catherine turned to Frostbite in the co-pilots chair. "Hope you know what you're doing boss! Sounds like you're about to enter a world of hurt if this goes south..."

I have a whole bunch of villains to stat up (it's one thing with a rough outline but to cook up abilities, powers, skills and advantages/drawbacks takes time and I may be a day or two late with this storyline because of the workload, so don't think I've forgotten ol' Frosty the snowman!

OOC: No nothing more from me, but thanks for all the hard work you put in. DMing for me was always fun up to the point you had to crunch rules and generate stuff...that is where it felt too real-world and grindy. But it always amazes me what you come back with. This already feels like some kind of Arrowverse, DC/Marvel cross over. Anyway take your time your output has left me trying to catch up anyway.

Frostbite nodded to Catherine thinking over her loss of powers and how much more of an asset she would be out on the field. Shame...but nothing doing. He was glad to have her 'powers' such as they were left to still help the team.

"Putting a team together is like putting one of those big bands in the same room. Everyone looks about trying to see how they'll fit in, will the boss give them room to shine or will they play down and get tight with the tune he calls. The worst part about a team like this, isn't just what we'll face, its what we've got to face them. In combat you just never know how people will react, fear, anger, pride, and sometimes they might just surprise you and beautiful music with a bit of ole time swing sets your feet tapping. I guess I'm an optimist, plan for the worst but still hope for the best."
