"B... boss?" croaked Battlebug, slumped against the wall and looking very pale, sweat drenched.
Raising a hand Frostbite said to Frostbot of the future, "Hold. Sorceress, can you drain his magic and return it to the land?" And with that he moved over to Battle Bug, grabbing his arm, he helped him up. "I'm proud of you Billy, you did good, really good."
And with his friend and protege back on his feet, Frostbite moved over to help Thoth down from his chains.
"Well old man, we finally meet again. I don't suppose this is what you planned for. When you're feeling steady enough, I suggest we reclaim that pesky broom that has been the cause of so much trouble."
And with that, he returned to the centre of the room where Frostbot continued to hold Elias prisoner.
"I warned you, Elias, now you are going to return with us to stand trial, but we need to make sure that the fair people of this land have their say as well. Its over, and for that, you should be thankful. Had you've won, what you would have had would have been fleeting and pitiful - this way is best, whether you'll come to see that now or in the future or never."
OOC: Wow I'd forgotten about Frostbot of the future, and I am so glad that in the end, I played Frostbite the way I think he ought to be played with no compromise. If I lost him it would have been a worthy sacrifice, not to compromise, even if he is 10+ years in the making. Right we need a way to contain Elias, whether Thoth puts him to sleep or the Sorceress drains his magic completely. And then he has to stand trial before Queen Elesiath and possible then brought back to Earth if that is how they wish to handle it. We'd best also get out of what remains of this ruin and regroup and debrief. When its safe to have Frostbot of the Future return to his true self I'll get him to do that to! And take the opportunity to thank him.

Re: The New Vanguard! FROSTBITE ISSUE #10 "Fallen"
Sniffing, Battlebug wiped his eyes and muttered "I'm sorry boss. I really tried to fight him, I promise!" before stumbling away to pick up his mask. Frostbite noted the radioactive rock that Frostbot of the Future had found was still present therefore the youngster would be powerless!
Frostbot of the Future simply intoned "As you wish." and left the Dark Lord dangling whilst Sorceress came over. "You were a fool Elias! We were never 'up there'! We were second stringers! You never accepted that though, and sought more! Well enough! No more!" she said, and slapped a hand on the limp Dr Mysticals forehead!
A FWOOOSH and dimming of lights, torches guttering, in the place followed by Sorceress leaning back and gasping, her body glowing! Her appearance changed, her dress changing colour and mended, her hair all done, skin clean and remarkably wrinkle free!
"That's better. You can let him go now. He's harmless." said Sorceress.
THUD! The former superhero known as Dr Mystical landed in a heap, clutching at his neck and gasping for air!
Frostbite helped Thoth from the chains which were no longer magical now and was about to speak when there was a loud metallic groan!
"His magic... held the place together! With that gone ... it will soon collapse under its own weight! We need... to get out of here!" gasped Thoth!
Thoth muttered "Just ... enough magic left." He looked about. "There!" and pointed at a wall. "About 100 feet, a room full of artefacts! We'll need those..."
Sorceress raised an eyebrow then vanished!
Thoth glanced at Frostbite "I hope she can be trusted!" he muttered. "I haven't the magic power to fight anyone right now!"
Just then Melody swooped into the room. "THERE you are!" she said, floating in the air. "We need to get out of here! We turned the tide of the battle and... oh! Is THAT the Dark Lord? All of a sudden the enemy turned and started to flee, and the Dark Knights collapsed, then the castle started to collapse in on itself! We need to get out or we'll all be crushed!" she exclaimed.
Battlebug limped over and looked at the rock. "Maybe I should... just stand here and let it drain me." he muttered, flopping to the floor in a heap and too weak to move. "So no one else... can use me..." he said, head lolling to the side.
Another groan, and a crack! Suddenly shards of metal started punching through the arched ceiling and the screech of metal became a horrible din!
Frostbot of the Future obeyed Frostbite when he ordered him to pick the youngster up and Melody dragged Elias to his feet, carrying him. Thoth was in Frostbites' arms and the group made their way through rapidly closing corridors, ceilings coming down and the floors twisting as an impossible weight beared down on the floors below!
=========
Elesieth gasped, turning her hands over and over. The liver spots were gone and the wrinkles were vanishing! tears rolled down her now smooth tight cheeks and where they touched the ground green shoots sprang, rapidly becoming trees that burst upwards with new vibrant life!
"The magic is back!" she cried, dust sparkling off her form and where it landed grass and flowers grew on the parched, barren earth!
Overhead the clouds parted and the sun blazed down, joined by a gentle warm rain that soaked the decimated world where the Dark Lord had held sway! In a matter of moments the black ash plain was a green carpet bursting with colour and life, and it seemed to be like a vast tidal wave swarming across the land over hills and plains with new forests bursting into life and growing to adulthood in a heartbeat!
She stepped from the shade of a new damp forest, the rain running from the leaves and looked upon the castle where it buckled, twisted, bowed and caved in on itself! "Oh PLEASE live my friends! Please!" she cried.
=========
They wouldn't make it. Frostbite would survive but those with him would perish under mountains of metal that crushed down from overhead!
"Go!" screamed Battlebug, recovered and away from the radioactive stone. "I'll hold it up!" he yelled over the din.
"No." said Frostbot of the Future. "My task has ended. I shall hold it up. Leave. Now."
Battlebug glanced to Frostbite then the pair were out of sight of each other as metal came down!

The massive dust cloud started to clear and Melody coughed. "Did... did we all get out?"
Frostbite set Thoth down and looked over at Battlebug, coughing dust and giving a thumbs up from where he crouched. There was no sign of Frostbot of the Future and the citadel was now a new mountain of collapsed metal.
Sorceress appeared with a glowing mass of swords, shields, weapons and artefacts of all kinds. Thoth went over to the Broomstick, and with a nod from Sorceress was allowed to pull it free. He gasped! "The broomstick... I was tied into it when I knew I was in danger, and dumped most of my magic into its mass! Now I can reclaim it!"
Sorceress gasped, about to say something, then she frowned and turned away. Almost as if she might have been able to claim some grand prize and had missed out!
Thoth glowed, gasped, then set the broom aside. "More like my old self. Whatever you are thinking, planning Sorceress... don't. Elias corrupted the power you drew back in and you will need time to get back to your old self."
"No! NO!" she screamed. "I can drain those artefacts, be MORE than i ever was! I can... can HELP people! Can... i can... who are YOU to judge ME, wanderer of time and space, with your meddling and messing with the laws of history and..." she hissed, eyes glowing red and hands like claws!
Thoth calmly chanted a spell and the Sorceress changed, becoming like her old self. Thoth gestured to a jet black sword and a mass, like bees, jumped from the sorceress to the sword. "That's quite enough of that!" said Thoth, and helped the now sane Sorceress up. With a quiet word and a nod from her he walked over to Frostbite. "Once more you've saved the day old boy. Not without cost though the robot was not truly alive but we should honour his sacrifice."
Frostbite looked at the collapsed mountain of metal, miles high, dust still rising into the air around it. In his head, a voice spoke. 'It is a strange thing, but I am glad to finally know the point of my death.' said Frostbot. 'Much can happen between the time that is now and the point at which I return back to aid you, and it may never come to pass. However, I am glad I was able to fulfil my primary purpose, which was to save you. I shall miss my future self. He developed a sentience, a ... life of his own... over the centuries that I cannot fathom. When he switched off the mechanical apparatus to make himself immune to the soul blast I was almost jealous. You see I would have been immune to the Dark Lords soul blast but he, a living sentient being, chose to sacrifice himself and become a mere device, as I am, in order to save you.'
Frostbite wondered at the words. Whatever Frostbot was, wherever he or it was from, he was more than a machine, more than a program, more than a collection of protons and electrons and whatever else made up a device. He might never find out where his artificial companion came from but knew he would be less of a person without him.
The group turned to see the now green plains bursting with insect life and birds in the air, a rainbow had formed and the weary warriors - Elves and Dwarves - shaking hands and swearing to put aside old quarrels to start anew in this reborn land of Albion!
The Queen, Elesieth, waved from a distant forest. She stood tall, strong and clad in shimmering bright white as the sun reflected from her, and those around her - Elves and Dwarves and Humans and even some Orc and Goblin Kin, bowed as one to their Queen, returned to the throne, and the magic returned to the land.

OOC: Just want to say that was a really satisfying ending, thank you for putting so much work into the write-up. Let me wrap up things from my end.
Frostbite needed a moment, he had come to rescue one companion and though he was thankful for that, he had lost another all too soon. "Goodbye old friend" he said out loud know only his old friend was still present in a pre-existing form to that which he had gone on to become.
Turning to the others, he took the time to thank them, pulling Battle Bug and Melody to one side he said, "I have been constantly impressed by the calibre of your efforts and more importantly by the way you've exemplified all I think our country needs by way of heroes in the dark times. Battle Bug, Billy you learned something we all sadly learn we're not invincible. Some day we'll all meet a counterpart or someone who is stronger, more powerful or has something we don't. That is why I'm so grateful to be part of a team and to have you with me."
Turning to Melody he said, "I know this probably isn't what you signed up for. But to be honest I couldn't tell you what you'd signed up for because well its a constant moving target. But again you've outperformed my wildest expectations and with BB I'd be honoured to have you alongside me."
After talking with the two for a bit longer, Frostbite then came over to the Sorceress, "I'm sorry about how things turned out. I wanted to bring him to trial I think the people here needed to see justice done. But perhaps the literal collapse of this all was a fitting end. I'm putting a team together, a new vanguard of sorts. We've got some government backing and are looking to raise the standard of what we capes do in the UK if we can. I have got a place in my ranks for someone of your talents, we are seriously underrepresented in your dept and I'd be honoured if you'd consider working with us. No need to give me an answer straight away, but know that I would like you to consider joining."
Finally turning to Thoth he said, "Well old man, can we finally get rid of this arsenal of evil, including that pesky broom. Its been the cause of so much trouble. Have you any idea where Nowhere Man disappeared in all this? He was the one who first brought the broom to me, I think we owe to our own that we get rid of it for good. Don't you?"
After allowing Thoth to share his thoughts on the matter, Frostbite then said to the group. "Right if you're sufficiently rested let's go join the camp, I think they are going to want to thank you. And I must say this part never gets old. Besides you all deserve it."
And with that Frostbite lead the group toward the celebrating now free people's of Albion and their queen. As much as he appreciated what was before him, he realised the man whom Elesiath knew was long gone. He did not have the same feelings toward her that his predecessor had. But there was a certain young lady whom he had promised a date to, and that was still an outstanding commitment he hoped he yet would have the opportunity to honour.

Re: The New Vanguard! FROSTBITE ISSUE #10 "Fallen"
OOC Spot on.
He watched the heroes walk across the field and sighed. The moment after the battle, the glory, the adulation, the relief... none of that was for him.
He looked at the enchanted dagger in his hand, it's curved blade pure obsidian black, pure evil. Whoever had crafted this blade had meant it as an assassins weapon. It had taken some effort to creep into the room of magic weapons, past Sorcerers, Guards and the Dark lord himself. Picking the weapon had been easy. The evil inside him had directed him straight to it as the most potent weapon to use against the Dark Lord.
He'd watched in the arena as Battlebug was controlled and pounded on Frostbite, dropping him to the floor unconscious. He'd closed his hand around the dagger, invisible, and ready to strike, to plunge it into the back of the Dark Lord knowing that of all the weapons there that would pierce his magical shielding and wards, striking straight to the heart with not a physical blow, but one to the soul. He would step across the line, no longer a vigilante, simply a killer.
He could justify it any way he liked. The demon inside of him which gave him his powers, a need to save his ... his friend, a world, other worlds, to stop a tyrant.
He could try to find words, thoughts... to justify the dark deed that would plunge his soul into darkness completely. The voice inside compelled him, urged him, screamed at him to do it, save his friends, save the world... and lose his soul forever.
Then the android had stepped in, just as he started forward with his dagger and he sagged back, relieved that the choice was taken from him.
Nowhere Man felt shame, that a robot would show nobility that he could not himself.
They left, and he sat there in the ruins of the Citadel as it crashed down around him. He saw the blue light of the robotic man as it held up dozens of walls and bought enough time for the Vanguard to escape.
Then he looked up, knowing in the next few moments he would die, and he didn't care. The Citadel continued to fall inwards, and he saw the blue light of the robots head in the darkness, about to be smashed like the rest of his body. Nowhere Man moved...behind him the citadel crashed in!
END OF ISSUE...
OOC Frostbite gets 275HP. The opposition was Superior (expected to win), the consequences would have affected multiple worlds and established the Dark Lord as a ruler using magical power to overwhelm the forces of good. Had he succeeded in this world the 'real world' would have suffered and the land of Britain would have been plunged under a cloud of darkness which would spread across the world. Unless resistant to magic practically all the people, superhuman or otherwise, would have succumbed.
Melody and Battlebug get 165HP each. Whilst they were there from day one the adventure is about Frostbite...
Use this thread to discuss your improvements!
Frostbite was on -7HP he is now on 268HP.
To add a power or attribute to the list of things you can boost with Power Reserve costs 5HP normally when you make the character and 25HP to add now, which is still pretty cheap. I also plan to rejig the cost of Density Increase because an option which you would have used had it been available when I statted Frosty up would have been used, that Density Increase does not reduce Dex. That would have cost 8HP when Frosty was statted, which I assume is now a no brainer to pay (you can pay that same cost when it's the GM's screwup).
That leaves 260HP for Frostbite(edited because I can't add up). Density Increase now 'Does not Reduce Dex'. I would also suggest paying 25 to add Density Increase to your Power Reserve pool. That will unlock a level of power in Frostbite (25 Str, 26 Resistance) he doesn't have. Also worth considering Intelligence (making him ultra smart and hard to attack mentally) and Influence (super charismatic), Mind (resist mental attacks) and Spirit (resist magic) and Regeneration to up that. Flight elevates Frostbite to escape velocity and outer space it added to power reserve.
If you are looking at a new power or increase to existing abilities we can do that too and David M can (as usual) come up with some good suggestions.

Also worth considering Intelligence (making him ultra-smart and hard to attack mentally) and Influence (super charismatic), Mind (resist mental attacks) and Spirit (resist magic) and Regeneration to up that. Flight elevates Frostbite to escape velocity and outer space it added to power reserve.
If you are looking at a new power or increase to existing abilities we can do that too and David M can (as usual) come up with some good suggestions. [/i][/color]
Wow, that was some adventure. I never knew where we were heading next with that one.
OK so I have no idea how much this would cost so let's go for a menu of ideas then we can cost it up and pick from it what we can do:
So yes Density increase doesn't reduce Dex would be a go.
And 25 for Density increase to the Power reserve
Yes let's increase Int what would it be to go from 9>10 or 10>11?
What would it cost to add to Inf etc...
What would it cost to up Martial Arts, just thinking that could be a helpful fallback option if I get another burnout?
Also, I like the idea of upping flight to power reserve, for those desperate situations
Dave M, any other suggestions...

Re: The New Vanguard! FROSTBITE ISSUE #10 "Fallen"
ooc: OK, my thoughts:
1.) Maybe lower burnout a bit? 4 instead of 6, so buy down that disad.
2.) Maybe get some telescopic vision so you don't take minuses on ranged attacks? That one's pretty cheap. BC 5, FC 1. So 50 to buy and 40 for 4 pts of it [for 150' range]. Make ice lenses that refract to give you that power, within reason.
3.) I wonder about your energy blast. Is it an ice blast? If it is, seems like you basically bought the power twice since Ice production combined with Ice control allows you to hurl ice at a foe which would be the same as an Ice Energy Blast IMHO. Maybe get those points back to spend elsewhere or change the energy blast to something else? You've been in a magic world so many times and affected by the magic in the world, why not mystic link that sucker so you can use it against foes that are weak against magic? But then again, not many foes have a weakness to magic so probably not needed unless you are fighting Kryptonians. And having to use your power reserve to raise Ice Control up to 15 when it could be used for something else while you use Energy Blast might make it so you leave it as is.
4.) Raise skills
5.) Buy Weaponry to use as a bonus for attack with ice weapons.
6.) Buy Systemic Antidote - good against chemical, poison, gas and drug related attacks and you can get the +1 FC bonus: Old Age Defense, which not only slows down your aging but provides defense against Cell Rot and one or two other powers.
With Icing, Fluid Form and Dispersal, you are pretty hard to hit.

Int and Infl from 9 to 10 105HP each point up to 15 (so 9 to 11 is 210HP) They are 'action attributes' so quite costly but useful
- Maybe better off paying 50HP and adding to the list of power reserve boosting stats which doesn't help in day to day but can make you 10APs (1000x) more smart/resistant to mental attacks (INT) or likeable/charismatic/resistant to magic (INF)
Density Increase added to power reserve cost 25HP DONE this leaves 235HP
Increasing either Acrobatics or Martial Artist costs the same, 70HP each per point.
Flight would be an excellent addition for 25HP to Power Reserve and FLUID FORM would be a total no brainer. Those I would say spend 50HP to add right now before you consider anything else!
Something I will offer to everyone is 'Accuracy'
This is a skill that is in Blood of Heroes 2nd Edition which we didn't use way back when Frosty and everyone else was statted up. With our house rules that would give you extra dice when using a physical, mental or mystical power or Perception (trying to spot stuff). However I would have to specify that it works specifically for ONE power only rather than a category, and that you can take the skill multiple times. Because this was not available when the characters were created this ONE TIME ONLY when everyone gets HP at the end of an adventure you can buy a new Accuracy skill for a power at starting cost. That makes it pretty cheap and the next time you get HP you will have to pay as of buying a new skill which is like 5x more expensive. So this time round if you wanted to be able to roll dice for Energy Blast for example you can buy Hero Point dice as usual or THIS ONE TIME ONLY pay for Accuracy Skill (Energy Blast) and however many points you want. Be sure to have a look at the powers you used the most and buy the skill multiple times because after this one opportunity the cost goes up!!
The powers that would benefit for Frostbite:
Ice Control
Ice Production (when used to attack)
Weather Control
Energy Blast (this I think would be the best bet)
Perception (used to spot things) which is always useful
Out of that list only the Energy Blast would be worth really serious consideration at this time.
This same option will be offered to every other character when they get HP awards (I think Prof Wynde is coming up next off the top of my head within the next day or two and Kid Kinetic is due as well but has no powers that would benefit).
I will have a look at putting a decent write up of this into the much delayed update of the house rules document, which should be looked at this week. I'm pretty burned out with house hunting and on the way back had to avoid a car coming at me down the wrong side of the road so that's enough of getting out and about today I think! If I was a cat I'd be on -73 lives I think.
Re: The New Vanguard! FROSTBITE ISSUE #10 "Fallen"
OOC posts crossed but David makes good points (as usual) and some of the things he suggest are more or less the same as I suggested. With regards energy blast that is 'cold energy' (whatever that means) whilst Ice Production and Ice Control are not as potent but are backups in case Energy Blast burns out.
The burn out is great for making stuff cheaper but not so great when it leaves you high n dry. Lionheart already knows that! Therefore a back up plan (or two) like Frostbite has is pretty good.
Here's a thought. Telepathy. A lot of what he does with Frostbot is like this and it's not a stretch to say he figures out how to talk mind to mind, albeit at a low level at first. That also allows a mind attack, add the stats to power reserve (int and will) and all of a sudden Frosty is potent with physical AND mental attacks, and pretty resistant and can talk to one or more team members (each link to another person reduces Telepathy). Removes the need for radios especially if you add that to power reserve too.
Only downside is the base cost of 200HP so that may be one for next time.

Re: The New Vanguard! FROSTBITE ISSUE #10 "Fallen"
then throw in Mind Shield for defense.
Actually I'm not reading that Telepathy allows a mental attack. It allows a mental connection from which other mental powers can be used. The telepath can take damage from someone trying to sever the mental link. It says the telepath cannot use Telepathy to attack.
Mind Blast, on the other hand, does mental damage.

Re: The New Vanguard! FROSTBITE ISSUE #10 "Fallen"
OOC Yeah the write up isn't immediately clear. The Power Telepathy allows you to establish a mental link with someone automatically to talk to them mind to mind. You can then also attack them using your mental attributes (int/will) or a mental power, and so can the other person in turn (even without line of sight and not needing any mental power, just their stats, so be careful about taking on someone really smart because they will bite back!)
Re: The New Vanguard! FROSTBITE ISSUE #10 "Fallen"
Now I see the really nasty part of that power:
"Anyone in the mental link may attack anyone else in the mental link."
So you get 3-4 folks with above average mental stats all attacking one person ... that can be ... nasty! Team attack that way and even nastier!!
Of course, I'm none too thrilled about the last paragraph of the power description.
If you get this power, you never want to use it against anyone who has some pretty high mental stats unless your are higher.

Re: The New Vanguard! FROSTBITE ISSUE #10 "Fallen"
OOC Correct. I think for Frostbite it would be brilliant. He runs a team and being able to give orders/team moves and also have a back up plan of a mental attack, especially with Power Reserve boosting Int/Will is a serious useful power to consider.
In the meantime a bunch of powers/attributes should be added to power reserves list I reckon but that's Dave's call. Makes him much better to resist mental/mystical attacks and faster flight, 15APs Density increase without reducing Dex etc...
Don't forget the Accuracy skill for Energy Blast too! Highly, highly recommended being able to roll dice with energy blasts.
One other thing. I was wondering... should I remove the dice splitting for attack defence so you get full attack dice, full defence dice (and so do the bad guys)? I prefer to keep the split myself and we're used to it but thought I'd put it out there...

I like the split myself. Being able to say all attack or all defense or split them as we see fit, works for me.

Wow so much to consider, I need to process this, unfortunately, I can't do that in a hurry as I've got a lot on (hence having to restrict when I reply) so I will take a look at this, some of this is no brainer stuff but some of it I want to think about - is this the direction for Frostbite etc. I'm not interested in power gaming so not going to go for the best bang for my buck, but equally want to make sure that I've understood things so I don't make less astute choices that might come back to bite me later.
Thanks, guys

Re: The New Vanguard! FROSTBITE ISSUE #10 "Fallen"
OOC (Suggestions) If I were running Frostbite, I'd go with:
Improve Density Increase (not reduce Dex) 8HP
260HP
Add Density Increase to Power Reserve 25HP (boost to 25 Str and 26 Resistance Value, better than Superman!)
235HP
Accuracy (Energy Blast) 7 61HP (+4D when attacking with energy blast)
174HP
Add Intelligence to power reserve 25HP (good for avoiding mental attacks, figuring things out, perception, initiative)
149HP
Add Influence to power reserve 25HP (good for persuasion, resisting mystical attacks, initiative)
124HP
Fluid Form to power reserve 25HP (best defence power by a long way)
99HP
Dex to Power Reserve 25HP (increase attack/defence in combat, initiative, manual dexterity, most important stat in game. This is a no brainer)
74HP
Flight to power reserve 25HP (boost flight up to 21APs. This is far more than the 15 required for escape velocity meaning Frostbite can travel 2000 miles in 4 seconds. That's 1.8 Million MPH and he has dispersal so he can use it.)
49HP
Save for future improvements? Or possibly add will to power reserve or use for soaking up damage in the next adventure...

OOC Battlebug has 223HP
Adrenaline Surge is boosted to 24 60HP
Catastrophic Burnout on Adrenaline Surge reduced to Serious Burnout 100HP THIS WOULD COST 500!!! My maths is getting iffier with old age! NOT APPLIED
Accuracy (Adrenaline Surge) 7 61HP
Power Reserve upped from 7 to 8 100HP
Battlebug 2HP remaining

Melody has 165HP
Sonic Beam increased to 22 40HP

Paul this is brilliant I'd like to ask how much would it be to pay down the power reserve burn out from 6>4 that is a factor I'd also like to consider. Otherwise, this all looks like you've saved me a ton of work looking over all that has been written - thank you so much. I like the idea of telepathy as a means of team-speak and that it might be a part of bonding with Frostbot in some way that his ability to communicate with me and machines somehow means he is an organic/machine in some way. Anyway - something to think about. So as long as I can pay down the cost, if not I might need to swap out one of these to make the points available. I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket.
Also I am with Dave on the whole idea of the Split Dice in Martial arts thing. I like that there is a bit of tactic and choice there.

That's the one you need to look at Dave. I got the cost wrong for adding stuff to Power Reserve (it's 50 points not 25). To buy off weaknesses costs 5x the number of points the game granted for taking the drawback when the character was created.
To buy off Frostbites' drawbacks...
Ice Control 60 points buys off Catastrophic #6
Weather Control 60 points buys off Catastrophic #6
Energy Blast 400 points buys off Serious #4 completely, 200 buys it down to Minor #3
Loss Vulnerability to Flame and Fatal vulnerability. Thousands to be rid of.
Secret Id, Age, Misc Drawback (dumber when frostbot leaves him) will cost 150, 265 and 350 to be rid of.
We started off with the DC Heroes rules and the Blood of Heroes rules (same game, tweaked) have slightly different ways of doing stuff hence things got missed out (like Accuracy, get that for Energy Blast!) when we started using the DC Rules and switched to BoH.
Note (for everyone) if the rules or anything that I miss/do not apply is of detriment to the PCs I will ALWAYS seek to rectify it, regardless of points or rules or anything else.
I've always been a 'Rules are there as a guide, not a crutch' sort of guy and when I came up with the house rules we use I knew some things would clash with the rules so I have always leaned in the players favour and always will.
As for Frosty, I'd look at the above list and I need to check my maths on Battlebug. I don't think he can pay off the Burnout because I have a feeling I haven't applied the 5x cost...

Ok, I think that going for the things you first suggested at the 50 points buy cost starting with the most advantageous - accuracy for instance and density increase not effecting dex, Dex/Int power reserve seems like the most important and worthwhile changes to make. Whilst I am vulnerable to power burn outs, at least that only effect the boosted affects not the power in its entirety.
Thanks for doing all this leg work Paul.

Re: The New Vanguard! FROSTBITE ISSUE #10 "Fallen"
OOC yeah you are actually a point short of buying Int (or Dex) for Power reserve but both are easy to rationalise - the smarter Frostbite is 'boosted' by Frostbot in a new and more efficient way, the Dex comes from combat computer/targeting/picking targets etc.
If you really really want to skin yourself I'll 'lend' you the 1 point but you need to remind me when I hand points out at the end of the adventure and it will cost you... 15 points!
I would suggest picking one and keeping 49 in your back pocket for last ditch defence and the like. Your call.
Just list the things you definitely want to go for and I'll make the changes and cook up the next adventure...

If you really really want to skin yourself I'll 'lend' you the 1 point but you need to remind me when I hand points out at the end of the adventure and it will cost you... 15 points!
I would suggest picking one and keeping 49 in your back pocket for last ditch defence and the like. Your call.

For now, let's leave out Dex as I think Int will be more helpful along the way and go with Dex next time around. Rather that than leave me in debt and nothing to fall back on as you say. ;-)

OOC Changes...
Density Increase does not reduce Dex and is added to Power Reserve
Accuracy (Energy Blast) 7 added
Fluid Form and Int also added to Power Reserve
