Re: ODDS AND ENDS
Re-reading posts and this still brings out a big chuckle!  We have such a clever GM!
"Oy! It's not blummin Halloween! I'm callin' the cops! Oy! I'm..." the man grabbed Haunts shoulder, pulled... and fell over backwards, having tried to move an immovable object. He looked up fearfully at the white clad hero and spluttered "Don't hurt me! I got a wife... and a dog!"

Re: ODDS AND ENDS
Still from the Haunt's fifth issue:
Haunt wasn't sure what these two weren't saying, but saw Conrad turn to the chest, and pull a key from his inner shirt on a string. It clicked without issue and the chest opened to reveal a blood red cushion upon which sat a shard of metal several inches long.
The Priest started to object, but Conrad waved him away. "This man is true of heart. He will bear the burden, as I do."
Haunt closed his hand around the shard... and... nothing. The Priest and Conrad watched the white clad man closely but breathed a sigh of relief a few moments later.
Conrad spoke up "Go home. Keep that safe and hidden. Your goodly nature will hide it for a time, as mine did. However, this is a shard of evil, despite looking like a slither of metal. The blow it struck plunged Britain into darkness for an age. Only the Kings own sword, Excalibur, saved Britain from a reign of terror under Mordred.
"I need some way to contact you. Here." he handed a card with a telephone number on it. "Call me tomorrow. I will have more details of what need be done. In the meantime I shall contact my order and advise them of what has happened."
OOC Haunt can get back on with his normal life for a day. Does he have plans? He has a play to prepare for after all in his mortal guise...
Rush King stepped out of the shower and towelled himself off.
He glanced at the statuette in the corner of his room and tried to spot the shard hastily taped to the back of it. In plain sight, but not so obvious that someone looking for it would look on the back of the statuette. Ugly thing that it was.
ooc: I have no memory of what happened to the evil shard. Wonder if it is still taped to the back of the award gathering dust or has been taken by someone over the past couple of years since this adventure happened.

Re: ODDS AND ENDS
I think maybe the Haunt is our world's most unlucky hero without having the disad for it!
Here's an example and ignoring all the bad dice that love him.
Haunt scoops up the rock and considers his choices. The place was in lock down, high alert and he'd been seen. He needed to get across London, and he'd made an enemy of a registered superhuman. Oh, and broken into 10 Downing Street. And stolen something from it. And his friend was trashing London. And had bitten a stupid superhero into two pieces. Before spitting some of him out.
It was a mess. The longer he delayed, the messier it would become...
