Game BACKGROUND as of APRIL 2020

The world is in turmoil! After an invasion of giant monsters that attacked many of the worlds capital cities and killed or badly injured many of the superhumans (both heroes and villains) an Alien Organisation known as ADVENT showed up and 'saved' the Earth by destroying the monsters!

Since then many of the worlds governments have accepted ADVENTs offer of aid and help in rebuilding their economies and Europe is more or less under ADVENTs control. The people voted and the new way of life, incorporating higher standards of living and cheaper more accessible technology that ADVENT brought have been embraced.

Not everyone has embraced the ADVENT way though. Britain and the USA stand along amongst the western powers with Europe mostly having fallen under ADVENTs wing. Indeed, in many of those countries there are growing resistance movements as many people do not accept that ADVENT have truly noble intentions...

However, they ARE the major power in the world today and most of the alien operatives seem to be humanoid and possessing what would be termed as superhuman abilities.
