CURRENT PC - Silas

Silas grew up in what most people would consider the upper rungs of general society, his parents were a lawyer and a doctor and brought home a mid six figure income consistently through his whole life. He's attended private schools and been able to pursue any of his interests.

When he was fourteen there was a meteor shower that passed right over his house. He stayed up to watch it with the window open, eventually falling asleep without closing it. A while later a tiny fragment from that shower survived burning up in the atmosphere and fell through his window, tearing a hole through the bug screen to land under his bed. It went unnoticed for a long time, and Silas spent each night only a couple feet from the fragment, being bombarded with its unique radiation.

The first thing he noticed was that he was healing really fast when he slept at home. He put it down to one of those mixed drinks his mom gave him that had who-know-what in them that was supposed to be healthy. After a year or so though it stopped being just when he slept, and became more and more obvious. At one point he sprained his ankle at a track and field event - he knew the feeling from previous times it had happened - and within minutes was feeling fine, going so far as to move on and win all three events he was competing in. It wasn't long before he realized he was stronger, more agile, and more resilient then any kid his age would reasonably be without incredibly intense focus and training; and while he had been taking martial arts since he was nine it didn't account for incredible change he was noticing. It was inevitable that his parents would eventually start to notice, unavoidable when he accidentally cut his finger down to the bone while helping his mom in the kitchen. While she rushed to help her son and yelled for her husband to get her medical kit from their room. By the time she was ready give him the stitches needed to hold everything together so he could heal, his cut warranted little more then a band-aid.

This wouldn't have been of much concern, his parents were freaked out of course, and their first thought was for his safety, and their second was to figure out what had happened. For that they approached his father's brother. His uncle was in the same field as his mother, but he worked in medical research, secretly in the study of superhumans, how they gained their powers, and how to utilize them. When his brothers wife began to ask him theoretical questions about accelerated healing and enhanced physical powers he became curious. It was another year before he finally put together that it was her son she was asking for. Another few months before they realized their brother was trying to find reasons to isolate their son in order to study him. It only took a week after that for them to arrange a move out of the country. Silas's mom secured a position working at a prominent hospital in England, and his father set about studying the particulars of UK law so he could open a new practice there. Within a month they had sold their house, and were firmly extracted, placing an ocean between their inquisitive brother and their son.

What his parent's didn't realize, was that Silas's gifts had quickly branched beyond the physical into the realm of energy projection and fine control of that energy. By the time they had left he was knocking thugs across the head with glowing energy fists on his time off, and at one point stopped a late night bank robbery. This he kept quiet form his parents, knowing they would react by trying to protect him more. Instead he actively enlisted their help, securing himself private tutors in science and engineering in order to develop a better understanding of what he was making, and because for once he found an academic field that truely interested him. Since the move across the pond he hasn't had a tutor, but he's had a well enough developed foundation to educate himself, and he's taken to spending even more time out living his second life. It's still all a game to him though, and his cavalier attitude has garnered him no small amount of attention, particularly around the web for his antics and flair while busting crime. Thankfully he had long ago learned to project a suit of energy that completely disguised his appearance, and was mutable to how he wanted it to appear even if it wasn't any good for protection without extra effort.

Now he's been in the UK for just about a year. It's still a strange place to him in a lot of ways, adapting to home schooling while his parents find what they think of as a suitable school has been difficult as well. Still, he can always blow off some steam by slipping out of the house..

Silas is a Class 3 hero created with 1500 hero points and a x1 multiplier (because the others have been going a lot longer, years longer in fact). This puts him at a power level roughly equivalent to many Avengers/Justice League members.

Motivation is 'Thrill of Adventure', sorry about that. I had picked out a last name but suddenly I can't remember it. If and when it comes to me I'll update in here. Also, the Artist specialty is 'painting' not sculptor.

No worries will alter the Artist thing. It just listed as 'visual' and with the Force manipulation thing figured Sculptor would be an obvious choice. To me being a sculptor is harder than being a painter. Painter works in 2D, the Sculptor in 3D, but both are beyond me so I'm not really an authority on the subject. Will change it.

Being somewhat proficient in both.. I actually find painting/drawing harder. At least if you're attempting to portray depth in your work. Using 3D mediums is great because you don't have to worry about that, you just need to keep things even. Which is fairly simple to do using some basic measuring tools.
